The version of the product they sent doesn't work for me and I knew it upon receipt. Accordingly, the shipping box was opened but none of the product containers. I ordered the product online and from a company I had never heard of before because I started having a had time finding it. Turns out that the version AcareOTC listed as available, and in turn I ordered, had been discontinued. However, rather that admit same and offer an alternative up front, or issue a refund, they knowingly shipped another version. After several polite but unanswered emails and voice messages over several weeks (they NEVER answer the phone) I sent a rather aggressive email expressing my grievances. I finally received a reply email feigning disbelief that I could have experienced such difficulties. They agreed to allow a return of the product for a refund but they would not pay for the return shipping cost ($9.00). On June 9, 2015 I received a refund. It's been about principle all along.

This CVS is smaller than some others so it's not as well stocked with holiday items during the end of year holiday season, and have a small refrigerator and freezer section. With the lack of a grocery store in Old City, the smart thing to do would be to expand those sections. But I can usually find what I'm looking for here. And the pharmacy rarely has a wait. They recently added self checkout machines, so u can generally avoid that person holding up the line complaining about something or asking for a rain check on a coupon. This CVS has been a welcome addition to my Old City neighborhood since the day it opened.

Very poor customer service…read more I came in to pick up medicine for my elderly father. I provided all patient identifiers & they still didn't know what medication I came for. Not once was I greeted. I was asked "What do you need?" I'm not asking for rainbows & sunshine but the woman at the front desk looked like I stole her first born child. She handed me my meds & walked away. Did not ask if I needed education on the meds. My family chose this pharmacy because it's Vietnamese ran & they don't speak English. It's a shame to see this is how they treat people in their community & run their business. They also don't accept cards unless it's over $10 which isn't legal. Whatever fee the credit cards are charging is for them to pay. Not the consumer. I had to leave to get cash for my father's meds. Will be transferring my dad's medications elsewhere.

After I crossed the street I realized I left the money!! ‍‍ I ran back to the store and as soon as I walked in I heard two females say, "there she is!" YOGI must have asked them to catch me but they didn't. YOGI had my money and was waiting my return. In these days of people not being honest or kind, THIS LADY DESERVES HER ACCOLADES. It was a single-pill script, so after the 15 minute prescribed wait, I hopped in line to see if it was available. Usually, my CVS app would alert me and/or I'd get a text, but neither happened. The pharmacist was like, "Yes, we called her name" when I asked if it was ready yet, which was strange as I absolutely didn't hear it. Strange they're not up to date on their technology, but alrighty. I also had to tap my card twice to pay. All in all, glad I stopped in as it saved me a trip at home but the vibe sure was something else.

Unlike CVS and Rite-Aid the store is unique in it's products for sale, liniments to chips and crutches. Unfortunately the the two old men who run the place are complete jerks. I've never experienced that level of contempt, for just walking in the door, from any pharmacy before. Even poorly paid CVS employees have a better temperament than these guys. I really tried to like them, I figured... well maybe it's like Dirty Franks, you have to show you face there for a while before you're accepted. It was not to be, I didn't want to support a chain store over a local store... but you guys forced me to it (ten visits = ten irritable occasions). I now get stellar service at the brand new Walgreens on the 900 block of Locust, one block from your location. Reap what you sow jerk offs.

I just walked out of Pennsylvania Hospital's ER after being treated for tonsillitis and knew that getting over to my regular 24-hour CVS wasn't going to happen. The only thing that would have made my experience better would have been somewhere to sit as I still wasn't feeling my usual vibrant self.
