CVS on Cumberland street had the nastiest tech on the phone. I would never go to that store.

I went to pickup two prescriptions from my dermatologist. The woman at the checkout asked me a question which I was unfamiliar with. She went to the pharmacist, the pharmacist came over and in a condescending way explained the question. The pharmacist customer service attitude definitely needs to be refined. I've noticed her other times and she always seems irritated. Her name is Emily maybe Emily should get a pharmacological job that doesn't require interacting with people, especially when they are ill or under a doctor's care when they are most vulnerable. read more

This CVS is pretty consistent. I stop by regularly for prescriptions, everyday essentials while I am in a pinch, and even used this CVS for my COVID booster vaccine. The staff is helpful when you need assistance unlocking the body wash or deodorant items. There are 3 self check out options, and I believe they are all cashless. I noticed recently that you can pay with venmo, and two of the three have the reader so that you can pay with your phone. Double check before you start ringing items up if you plan to pay by phone, as one of them does not have the necessary reader and I have gotten stuck in the "can you cancel my entire order so I can use the other checkout" situation. There is a good selection of snacks here too, I'm especially a fan of the fact that they always have the Haagen-Dazs chocolate peanut butter ice cream in stock. The pharmacy staff is great here. They do their best to help customers get good prices on their prescriptions. They are very knowledgeable, and work quickly to fill orders. read more

This not directed at the pharmacy staff at this location but CVS corporate and their app. Practically every time I schedule a vaccine (Covid, TDAP, whatever), I arrive on time and the pharmacist says they do not have the vaccine available for the appointment. When I ask why the app allows appointments when vaccines are not available, I get a shrug as if this happens all the time and not even a glimmer of apology for wasting my time. Complaints through the CVS app have been met with complete silence on each occasion. read more

Gruff on a good day: i don't get what is wrong with the people at this pharmacy, they don't seem terribly happy. The vaccine nurse one day was lovely and warm with me then on subsequent visits she was grumpy and argumentative about everything! I won't go into my specifics but a patient was waiting quietly on line as directed and the nurse ordered her to step back several feet because she wasn't in PRECISELY the correct "waiting spot", like in airport security! The pharmacists are okay but seem extremely overworked and act as if a smile costs extra. Neither the pharmacists nor the nurse like ANY questions either, those really get them riled up. Not a bad pharmacy in my experience, it serves its purpose, but you have been warned! read more

I had received a coupon from GSW for Trelegy Elipita which I used in 2023, my co-pay was $0.00. On 1/12/24 my pulmonary Dr, gave me another coupon the 1st of this year after going for my check up . I presented it to the Pharmacist at CVS 101 City Avenue, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 where I get all my prescriptions. For two weeks I have been given the run around. First I was told the coupon was denied, I called GSW and they told me they didn't deny it, neither did caremark. I called the Pharmacy and held the phone for 2 hours, I let the phone ring as I drove there and it was still ringing and no one was answering the phones. I called GSW and spoke to Delana, Christie, Adira and the last one was Brittany today. They told me that when the pharmacist was applying the coupon, they reversed the claim and that's why it didn't go through. GSPW gave me a phone number for the Pharmacist (Rasheeda) to call direct so the problem could be corrected. I called her and gave her the information, she said she would call. That was yesterday 1/22/2024. Rasheeda also said I wouldn't be getting the prescription for free this time. The coupon would be covering $100.00 and that was fine. . Today 1/23/2024, I called GSW again and they told me they had been calIed by CVS (Rasheeda) was supposed to call back but didn't. I called CVS and spoke to her, she immediately began to tell me that they didn't get back to her, when in fact that's not what they told me. GSW said she was suppose to call them back and didn't. I told her that I would be picking up my prescription after work today. After my husband picked me we headed straight to CVS, she saw me and said she would be right with me, but instead a young man, that had helped me last year to get the coupon to go through made a call. He was on the phone for the same amount time I was there 1 hour. After all that he told Rasheeda and she conveyed to me that CVS is no longer accepting the coupons.... 2 WEEKS BACK AND FORTH TO TELL ME THEY ARE NOT ACCEPTING THE COUPON... there needs to be communication between the online vax scheduling and the stores. TWICE i went for a vaccination and was turned away. Once the website said I didn't require an appointment and that Novomax was at all locations. Whe I got there i was told that I DID need an appointment and that their Novomax vax was expired! Went in today for an appt to different location and was told upon arrival that they had to "defrost" the supply so to come back tomorrow. Can't the pharmacy check online to see what is being told to customers? The pharmacist was very rude to us and to her co-worker. read more

Make sure you check your insurance. This CVS is scamming people. They are poorly trained and violating HIPAA. They do not check IDs. They are looking up other patients' insurance and putting it under the wrong patient. read more

Pharmacy pick up was horrible. Went to pick up medication and was told they were only helping the two people at the register and would not be able to help me and I'd have to come back in an hour. Went back and two people at register until there was a line, then went down to one register to help people. Bad customer service. read more

the cvs at 1138 N 2nd in Philadelphia has the worst customer service. the women, Alicia sold me pictures that did not finish printing, then got the final price from my ONLINE receipt. After she claimed 'they are all there'. She did not give me a receipt in the store which she denies. When I confronted her over the phone that they were not all there she raised her voice at me and then hung up on me. I called back and explained that you cannot hang up on paying customers, then she proceeded to hang up on me again. I went back to the store to get a refund (which she said I could do) but then she would not refund me because I didn't have the receipt she didn't give me. I also put my number in but she would not look it up. She then proceeded to raise her voice at me and at that time I did not feel safe so I left. I'm very upset with how the store is run and more upset that I didn't receive an item I paid for. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE. read more

I am writing to complain about the head pharmacist Alex at the store located at 2132 South Street in Philadelphia. My daughter's camp lost all her epi pens which she needs for her allergies. Her allergist sent in a prescription for a brand necessary epi pen which Alex filled with generic. I called to ask him to please change to the brand and he told me the following (after I was on hold for over 15 minutes) "I am busy, my time is valuable, I don't have time to talk about this." I called him to correct a prescription for life-saving medication for my child and he didn't have the "time" to talk to me about how to have the doctor fix the script so he could fill it with the brand, nor did he "have time" to look up the cost or tell me when it would be available. I had the doctor send over another prescription with his requests and he said he would let me know when it was received (this was a Friday) and he never did. He is rude, unprofessional and should not interact with customers. I would not recommend using this CVS pharmacy. read more

I moved my business from Walgreens on 18th & South to CVS when it opened. I had a good rapport with the pharmacy staff at Walgreens but there were often long waits, strange clientele and a few instances when obtaining my prescription was somewhat of a hassle. I have never had an issue at the new CVS on the corner of 22nd and South. Everyone is super friendly, the pharmacist (Tim) always gives a call if there's a question or issue, and the store itself is clean and well-stocked. I'm a fan. read more

JOEI! JOEI! JOEI! This young woman was AMAZING--bravo. I seriously have never been in a CVS this accomodating and friendly. My Mom is recovering from a serious surgery, and I had to run in to this location where I don't normally go--to pick up some things very quickly. Who would have expected I would be greeted at the counter by this young woman who was spectactularly hospitable--in a CVS? I love CVS and shop here because of the extra care savings, but let's be honest--they are not exactly known for their friendliness at some of their other locations. Joei suggested the monthly savings club which I normally wouldn't have taken advantage of. She was helpful, kind, cheerful, and a breath of fresh air. She probably didn't even know it because I was so distracted, but she really made my day. She kept telling me to "take my time" while I looked for coupons--which might have annoyed some, but she was completely genuine. Joei will move on to great things shortly, but in the meantime I would suggest giving her a raise--and having her train her replacements well. I assume the management at this location --is also better, since well-treated employees--generally reflect from the top down and have a happy demeanor. She is a credit to your store. A really excellent CVS only a couple of blocks from me-so nice to have a reliable neighborhood spot like this so close by. Honesty, the reason this place stands out is the exceptional staff. You are always greeted by a staff member at the door, always someone to ask you what you need when you're just creeping around the aisles looking lost, and always with a smile on their faces. It really shows a strong management, a happy staff, and a comittment to good service. There are literally thousands of CVSs, Walgreens, RiteAids, whatever pharmacy/general store you choose-and several within just blocks of my house-so it's hard to stand out, but this location really does. I was initially pretty disappointed when I saw that this was what was coming to this spot on the corner of South and 22nd (I guess I was hoping for another gastropub, beer store, or sushi spot?) but I now see the beauty of having this reliably friendly spot nearby. Only docked one star because their hours need to be extended... we need a better 24 hour spot than the crappy 7-11 down the street! read more

This location is at 22nd and South Street. Its a fair k y big place. The staff are usually very friendly abd kind abd they have a Pharmacy with Minute clinic. They have great sales abd discounts. The only issue is that they are not 24 hours like others atpund the city like the location at 11th and Market and 19th and chestnut. Overall they are one of the best locations! I didn't realize that had a parking lot so I parked illegally outside the last time I was in and frantically ran in and out, convinced the evil PPA would get me during my 3-minute shopping spree.
