This location is super convenient to the liberty bell and independence hall. The food here was alright, came here on a Friday morning, it was a little crowded, the staff isn't friendly. Ordering here is easy, but they don't give very good instructions for someone who isn't used to Wawa. The store is clean, bathrooms were just serviced.

This location, located across from the Liberty Bell, is the biggest Wawa in the world! If you are a Wawa-lover, definitely make your way to this one. There is ample seating and plenty of snacks/drinks available for purchase. The tables were clean and the store was well-maintained. The hot food ordering station has many kiosks, which ensures that there is almost never a wait to order. The food comes out hot and relatively fast. I came on Thanksgiving day to get a turkey gobbler hoagie for lunch, and the workers were nice and courteous. The Turkey Gobbler with Mashed Potatoes was surprisingly decent at this location. As one of the few, if not only, places to get a gobbler on Thanksgiving day, it helps hold off that craving. The turkey was moist and tender, with plenty of gravy to not let it be dry. The bread was soft and pillowy, with a slight chew. The gravy, however, did not have much flavor and almost tastes like school-cafeteria quality. The mashed potato was the same, but it did has cheese mixed in that created a nice cheese-pull stretchy bite. I also got the Roasted Chicken Fajita Quesadilla. It came out hot and fresh. The tortilla was crunch and slightly chewy in a good way. The vegetables added a "fresh" element to the quesadilla. Chicken was soft, moist, and well-seasoned. Overall, for this being a convenience store and being open on Thanksgiving day, I am quite satisfied from my visit.

I loved how big and spacious this Wawa is. Other locations are very small and constricting when you go during rush hour. However, this location has enough space for everyone and a large variety of options. You can go inside and place your order on the kiosk for pickup. I love the different items available at Wawa. You can try everything there and not get bored of it. The best thing is that everything is at an affordable price. This location was a life saver during our trip to Philly. We were able to stop in and pick up items as we needed. Some snacks during the day or ice cream on a hot summer day. Everything was available here. I saw the Hello Panda cookies which came in chocolate and strawberry. I didn't see these in any of the other Wawa locations. This was an interesting treat. This Wawa is now my favorite location in Philly.

When in Philly, you always have to go to a Wawa. This one is right across the street from independence Hall and the liberty Bell so it's a good place to get a cup of coffee a tasty cake and get ready for a fun day.

Normally the only time I can go to a Wawa is if I'm doing my annual trip to the Jersey Shore but when in Philly, you go to the OG location! I needed to see it in person, obviously. The coffee is always perfection and you can't go wrong with a hoagie! Definitely stop by if you need a caffeine boost (or snacks) on your way to the Liberty Bell.

    How is this 10 dollars

$10 for three scoops of slop, 0 effort always the staff looks suicidal and I'd even be surprised if they all had gloves on. Never again :,,( terrible attitude across the board

Wawa is all over the Eastern side of the country. Similar to a 7E. They have snacks like chips, baked goods, drinks, also have self checkout. I have seen this brand in DC, NY, and Philly. Recommend

Great place to grab something quick or a salad. These days, I only eat the salad. Nicole behind the counter in the food prep area is the best and will take care of you. Five stars all around for Wawa @ Independence Mall East

I'm not going to over load you with wow oh wow so I'll just say it once WOW. Something new buy first can we talk about this BIG WAWA I have never seem a Wawa of this size no where. It have a seating area art work on the walls the coffee station was nice & clean it really felt like we was somewhere else. The people was nice a accommodating I had ordered the CHIPS AHOY chocolate chocolate chip frozen cappuccino. You also can get it like a milkshake with whip cream with a dizzy of chocolate or carmal. It was my second time ordering this and eveytime I never disappointed it's so good. It's creamy it tastes like have you ever had chocolate chip cookies and your crush them up into a cold glass of milk that's what it tastes like. And you can't go wrong with that I highly recommend

It's ginormous. Seriously. This is the biggest Wawa by far that I've ever been in. Perhaps it's the two story ceiling - done clearly to accommodate the beautiful arched windows in the historic building this Wawa is in. Or the expansive space to walk around in - despite having tables for people to 'dine in' with. Overall the impression though is of an expansive, accommodating space. I love that they accommodated the history of the building rather than converting it to look like every other Wawa on the planet. The new Wawa on 6 & Chestnut is in a prime location, right across the street from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. I walked a few short blocks there on a lovely spring day after attending some nearby training. As it was lunchtime it was crowded, however I used my handy-dandy Wawa app in advance to order. No matter, there were tons of kiosks. "Wander" and "Wawa" sound alike but you don't usually get to wander around a Wawa - they're usually more compact. This one, though, you can wander. They even had Wawa "gear" for sale in some cubby. The people working there were insanely nice, shout out to Maurice at the checkout register who helped me both pay for my pre-order, adding a 32 ounce drink because I could not figure out how to do it, but also cheerfully conversed with me about the new place, the new Sprite variety (terrible name, addictive flavor) and life in general. As with every other Wawa, my sandwich was predictably good, they are very consistent about their food. It doesn't make it the best sandwich or hoagie in the world. I can always count on the fact that it's a consistency good sandwich that tastes, well, the same. Fresh, well made, and yummy.

Pretty large Wawa, but what it carries is about the same as your usual Wawa. The extra space is mostly good for capturing the morning rush.

Ok, onto the eats! 1. Della Casa ($18): A 12-inch soft seeded sando layered with a schmear of balsamic sundried pepper spread, fresh mozz, and hot cappicola dried with Calabrian chili oil and filled with fresh arugula and house roasted eggplant slices. This was good, however, the eggplant felt kind out of place. The slices were large and a little bit too mushy for my liking and it felt like it could have benefitted from an extra meat or contrast to the softness from the mozz, such as fried eggplant instead. All in all a 7 out of 10. Good but wouldn't order again. 2. Turkey Salumeria ($18.50): Another (delicious) 12-inch soft seeded roll saturated with a delicious house creamy balsamic dressing (could have honestly drank this) + mild prov, LTO, sliced turkey and really great cherry pepper relish. This was a pretty basic, but all the parts came together to make a solid sandwich. I wouldn't necessarily order again but the combination of ingredients and the hellish relish made it a 7.5 out of 10. All in all, the quality of the ingredients, the combinations available on the menu and the stellar staff all make LK popular for good reason. While the selections we had this go around didn't wow us (just lacking a certain je ne sais quoi) I do look forward to going back to try the kale chx caesar, some of their cutlet sandos, roast beef and pork and of course the tomato pie and CCC's!

Very glad I did. I had the The Classic ($19.95: Prime Rib, Cooper Sharp Cheese, Buttery Steakhouse Seasoning, Sautéed Onions). Great seeded roll, perfectly melted cheese, and grilled onions. Service was great. Went to the shop off-hours / around 2:30 on a Friday. Probably 10 people there, so my steak was served up quickly- maybe 5 minutes max from order to handoff. The staff was helpful and patient walking through a rookie on what to order. The shop is un-assuming. Not tons of signage, not a lot of quirky decor on the walls. I visited on one of the first very hot days of the spring. I decided to get the sandwich to go and devoured it at my hotel. Best Cheesesteak is a hot topic in this town. No real point in trying to say one's the best but some food for thought from an out-of-towner: 1) Research. Ask around. I went to Middle Child a few weeks ago just after 3, only to find it closes at 3. Today I returned, around 1, and there was a good crowd there having lunch. I ordered the Surfer, and the Hash Brown Potatoes. The Surfer is Middle Child's most popular sandwich. It's made on a Ciabatta bun, and has a thick layering of tender, lean, House Turkey breast, with melty Swiss cheese, arugula, blueberry chutney, and Duke's mayo. It's hard to describe just how delicious this sandwich was. My biggest concern was the Ciabatta bun - it's not one of my favorites, as I've found them to be tough and difficult to bite through. My fears were quickly put to rest after the first bite! The bun had a slightly crispy exterior - and when I followed through with my first bite, the tender, soft interior of the Ciabatta was a pleasant surprise. In fact, it complemented the thick savory Turkey, arugula, chutney and mayo! It was one of the best Turkey sandwiches I've had. Now, if that wasn't enough, don't forget, I ordered the Hash Brown Potatoes. It said Hash Browns on the blackboard, see attached picture, but these 'weren't your Mama's hash browns'! They are described online as Latka'd Hash Browns. They are thick crispy squares that combine a potato pancake latke with a hash brown texture. The interior reminded me of my mother's potato kugel, which I still reminisce about. In one word, those fried crispy potato squares were outstanding. It's 'a must try' and goes so well with the Surfer! Last, but not least, the Limeade! It was so refreshing! Not too tart, not too sweet... just right! I'll be returning to Middle Child in the not too distant future!

The ribeye was thin cut, delicious and the portion was pretty hefty. Second visit I went with - The Nad - $15 Chicken cutlet, fresh mozzarella, prosciutto, arugula, Mike's Hot Honey that came on an unseeded Liscio's roll. The portion size was good, chicken was fresh with good breading, the hot honey was a tad on the heavy side, but the flavors all came together pretty good on this one. Sweet, salty, light bitterness from the arugula and some heat from the hot honey. I added Thin Cut Idaho fries to make it a combo for $3 extra and I have to say they were delicious. They smelled like McD's and tasted similar. They are cash only, but have an ATM on site. You can use a card if you order online. The one bathroom they have was pretty clean and organized.
