I can't say what medication I needed but if I don't keep the blood level up I can go into a very heightened anxiety state. She told me to have my doctor call to release a medication earlier than it was supposed to be filled. I called back to tell her my Dr. would be calling to ask to have this medication released earlier. The same pharmacist when I called back was very terse with me and said she can't allow this to happen on a regular basis. There were some mix-ups and I ended up going into a high anxiety state because the prescription wasn't filled. Then, just the other day my Dr. called in and spoke with the same pharmacist. He told her to please release this medication immediately. My Doc called me and told me it would be ready. This pharmacist did NOT listen to my Doctors request for me to be able to pick up the meds today. She ignored my Doctors request and once again I would go into a deficit of my blood level and I would end up having severe panic attacks. I am trying to find another CVS near me. This woman pharmacist has a real problem. I adore everyone at this pharmacy on Wilkins - they are so helpful and friendly - but steer clear of this dour blonde haired pharmacist! Beware of this blonde haired pharmacist who never ever smiles.

I have been in several times and there is always someone to help find you something if you cant find it yourself. I find the prices fine and the service excellent. One thing I like about Walgreens over CVS is that I can use Apple pay.

I can go down the street and I do not have lunch hours, end of day at 6 PM, etc. I do not want the pharmacists to work more hours; CVS needs to employ a few more pharmacists and just stay open when people can make it. Nice deli, a bakery (which is actually an inexpensive spot to get stuff like Danish) and all the aisles for getting in your steps on a crappy Winter (or hot Summer) day. Really I like Giant Eagle, I just avoid the fruit & veg (expensive) and bread (Schwebels Italiano for $4.75!?!) aisles. Not even worth walking down them. Just stick with sale items, items you get cheap because of the Giant Eagle card, and the meat dept. but only for sale and items getting marked down because the sell by date is getting close. The employees are always friendly, and helpful. The store is well stocked, except for Asian food items which is pretty crappy. Two kinds of soy sauce? Seriously? Overall, this Giant Eagle gets four of five stars. Oh, and a s###-ton of different brands and flavors of ice cream. I do like that.
