I like Walgreens and enjoy the large variety of items that they carry. I like that I can go into…read morethe store and take as much time as I want to in the cosmetic aisle without being hit by someone's cart or asked to move while I'm still browsing. I am always greeted upon arriving and and told to have a nice day when I leave. My issue is with the pharmacy. The people who staff it are kind and know us by name. The pharmacy is grossly understaffed which I believe is not their choice but a corporate one. These employees hustle from the time they arrive till the end of their shift. I had to wait 20 minutes at the drive thru the other day for someone to help me and I had no car in front of me! This facility needs more help in the pharmacy! When we have a problem, Julie is just incredible at helping and solving the problem.

I had the worst experience At the Walgreens in Rantoul Illinois I bought a pair a Bluetooth…read moreheadphones they broke and I took them back. I paid cash for them and I wanted cash back. My Walgreens card took $3 off the price. At 1st they told me that because I received a discount because of my Walgreens card, that I couldn't get cash back. I just wanted the cash back for what I paid. I didn't want then to refund the $3 coupon and that I got, of course. And then the manager on the shift got snotty with me. I was shocked. She is in customer service that was very inappropriate. I told don't get snotty with me and she got worse. And then she read to me on the receive, which is in flower print Chama which I didn't read and that is my fault. She read rather rudely and with a raise voice, "Where did you see cash on this rec noeipt anywhere". I asked if I could speak to a manager, and she said she was the manager and there was none one I could talk to. Another employee came over because she heard the raised voices and tried to diffuse the situation. They're were others customers at the checkout. She did not tell me to come back when the manager of the store was in, or to call when he was in. This story continues on, and it only gets worse. I called the company and complained about the rudeness of the cashier. They told that I should have gotten cash back since I paid cash (minus the discount). They told me the managers name, and to call on Monday morning and he would take care of it. I did and he told me that I actually could not get cash back. I was mad. I left again. I called the company again and they said they did call the manager. Which they did not. I went in and asked for the manager. A women came up, not the manager of the store. I asked if he was in and I was told no. I really wanted to get my cash back, I wanted to buy cigarettes at the Walgreen's. She said the was a video and she did view it. I asked if I could cover in and watch it with her. She told me nobody was allowed in the office. That was a policy at the store. So the manager on duty view the video, and she came back out and told me, rudely, And that was a different cashier that was rude to me also. Now she came back Andshe told me that she viewed the video and they gave me the cash back on the original night and I put it in my purse. I said no I didn't they didn't give me cash back. The manager read the receipt and said no cash back and the other cashier that came over knew that they didn't give me cash back. CN system so rudely back I put the cash in my purse and that was that it period!! I again told or that I didn't get the cash that and I wasn'y trying to rip off the store, I was gonna buy stuff in the store when I got my cash back. Now call them came and be the video and said the exact same. So they asked me if I wanted them to call the police and have them mere at the video. So 3 police officers came and watched the video and they said that I put the cash in my purse. I open my wallet and I didn't have the cash. And I had the recept for the return. I insisted that they didn't give me cash back. The police said they saw the video and I had to leave or they were gonna nab me from Walgreen's. Of course, I will never shop at Walgreen's again. But I didn't want the police to ban me, so I left. I had no ideas what to think. I was throughly appalled at Walgreen's. Walgreen's is such a reputable company, so I was again shocked. I called the company, for the 4 th time, and again they said I could view the video. That was not their policy in this situation. I called back and I was told I still not view the video. So, I didn't know what else to do besides yelp about it and post it on Facebook.

Unfortunately, the negative reviews of the pharmacy are correct. I moved to Urbana a year ago,…read morehaving had good experiences at Walgreens all over the country for decades. This one was bad from the beginning, but I kept giving it more chances. Once, for example, I was told they were short-staffed, so I came back a month later, then two months later, and so on, but it looks like they either don't do much hiring or they have some insane turnover. The staff they did have tended to be kind and knowledgable, though, so a star for that. I have waited for four days for them to fill a routine, in-stock, no-street-value medication before I could pick it up. I have waited in line at the drive-up for half an hour. I have waited in line inside the pharmacy for twenty minutes. I have waited nine days to get a prescription they don't stock, because that's how long it took for them to get it transferred in, even though there are numerous Walgreens stores in Chambana and it's just a normal medication, nothing special. Today, however, I waited in line inside for 25 minutes before I got to the front to learn that they just didn't have my meds, the same ones they'd emailed me earlier today to say they had. Staff looked hard for them, but they just weren't there. I asked how this could happen, and the cashier said that when the bagged meds came in from the offsite location where they're filled, instead of scanning the barcodes on those bags into their system, they scan in barcodes from a list of what they're SUPPOSED to have. Well, that doesn't work, and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out. The cashier said he'd have the prescription filled in "ten or fifteen minutes. More like twenty." I'd already been at this store about three times longer than I'd planned. I asked him to call me when it was filled. It's been three hours with no call, not like I even expected one. The sugar on top was that early on, before my meds came up lost, I asked my cashier to change my twenty for two tens. He agreed with a smile. Then, after the meds were lost, he asked if I still wanted tens. I did, but he didn't have any in his drawer. I asked him to open the other drawer (the cashier station next to his, at which a customer had been standing for legit half an hour while the cashier did who-knows-what in the back), but he couldn't. I said I would wait for that cashier to come back, knowing it wouldn't happen but that my cashier might be more helpful if I was still standing there. Indeed, after about five minutes, he got someone else from the back to tell me that they "don't keep big bills" at the pharmacy. First, since when is a ten a big bill? Second, why not make sure the cashiers know that so that I didn't have to waste even more time hanging around? I've had it, and am transferring my prescriptions to Carle on Curtis instead. Yes, it's fifteen minutes further from where I live than this Walgreens, but it'll still save me time. Ridiculous. And yet. Update less than an hour later: Carle just told me that they couldn't cancel the Walgreens prescription because Walgreens said they already dispensed it! I now believe that they gave my meds to somebody else. Wow.

I've printed…read morephotos at other locations in the past, so I am familiar with their kiosks and the ordering process. Below is my experience with this location's poor customer service While chatting with my girlfriend, I sit down at the computer and plug my phone in using a cable in the drawer beneath the computer. I start the ordering process, continuing to chat with my girlfriend. At the very moment that I reach the "Connect your device" screen of the ordering process, I hear an associate rudely ask, "Y'all tryin' to print photos?" I was offended by the employee's tone in asking this question; she sounded annoyed and very impatient. I was also offended because the employee interrupted a conversation I was having with my girlfriend. I feel that would only have been an appropriate way to approach me had I been banging my phone against the computer screen and yelling, "LOAD MY PICTURES!" That was not the case... Anyways, I respond affirmatively to the associate's initial question, but adopt a tone of voice I hope will discourage any further interaction. The employee does not take my cue. Instead, in that same tone from before, I am told, "You gotta connect it to the computer!" Now very annoyed, I hold up my phone to demonstrate to her that it has already been connected and tell her that it is. She then raises her voice and responds with, "No it ain't!" She then walks up to the kiosk, yanks the drawer open, pulls out the other end of the cable I've already connected to my phone, mashes it into the USB port on the front of the computer, and stalks off in the opposite direction, sending a "Ya welcome" over her shoulder. Classy... Had she not so rudely inserted herself and kept us from proceeding with the order alone, my girlfriend and I would likely have solved that little problem within -oh, I don't know- 5 seconds? But, hey, why not behave like a condescending b****? Customer service is just your job. *Edit* To review: -Did not greet us -Did not politely offer assistance -When she did engage us at all, she was rude and condescending -Gave us unsolicited and unwelcome assistance

I have been using this pharmacy for years and I do not recall having a problem with it until this…read morepast year or so. The communication is terrible and they do not take mental health meds seriously and quite frankly Im pretty sure I get treated worse because thats what im picking up. My son recently started a medication that is controlled. Im still learning the ins and outs of the rules for filling the medication because it's all new to us. I have been given the run around for two days over a "pharmacist review". I called to find out what the issue was and the girl on the phone had an attitude from the second she picked up the phone. She put me on hold as I was speaking and told me incorrect information so naturally I was confused. I stopped in there to figure it out since they just mute you on the phone and let you sit there and again run around, rude girl in the back yelling up to the front about the pharmacist review. I get that but why? So I leave and decide I'll come back after a few of my errands. I ended up calling back to figure it out. The girl again treated me like an idiot and said my pharmacist reviewed it and it's too early to fill. I thought I was right on time... bottle said the 11th and today is the 12th. I wanted to stay on top of it because I am somewhat aware of how pharmacies are with this medication and all the hoops you have to go through. Well apparently it goes by pick up date and not fill date? Which is new to me. I usually don't care and give the pharmacy plenty of time to fill because again I get it. We are a split household, my son goes with his dad this weekend and is going out of town for the week so I was trying to get it all taken care of before then. All the pharmacy had to do was communicate the policies for the medication, give me a call and let me know maybe? Tell me that when we first started being prescribed the medication... after all that is their job. Instead it was huge ordeal lasting hours and everyone there treated me like I was being a problem when it was a lack of understanding towards a new medication and the pharmacies policies. This is only one of the issues I have had with this pharmacy I have had multiple experiences where they have fumbled my mental health meds and acted like it was nothing. Every-time I try to be understanding but it's becoming too much. I dread having to go deal with that pharmacy and it pretty much ruins my day every-time. There are not a lot of options in Mahomet and I think that is also something they are very aware of because they just do not seem to give a crap. It did not need to be that big of a deal, patient education is part of healthcare and communication goes a long way. This pharmacies does neither. They repeated the exact pick up and time on the phone to me like I should have known. That was a month ago... bottle says 11th am I really supposed to remember that last month I picked it up on the 15th at whatever time? If I am TELL ME THAT. I'm a single mom with a thousand things on my plate worried about staying on top of it all and this pharmacy made me feel like I was doing something wrong.
