Props to the hard-working pharmacists and pharm techs at this location. It's not an easy job, and CVS never seems to hire enough people as they are always swamped. Still, every time I go in they are friendly and do all they can to help. I will say I have a problem with the CVS computer system, as it can't seem to save the information from my co-pay discount cards and apply them to my prescriptions from one month to the next. I always have to "step over to the window" and spend about 10 minutes re-entering everything again, but this is not the fault of the staff, but the corporate overlords. The store itself is nice, with a good selection. I was able to find an ankle brace for my daughter when we needed one badly, and the two self-checkouts are useful if there is a line. read more

I am very very upset with the service at this location. This is not the first time by the same individual who has been rude to me once before. I am not sure if he's a manager or not, but if he is, this is no way to treat a customer who chooses to support cvs for years, rather than big box stores. I came in today purchasing over $100. I had two coupons in my hands I wanted to use. After ringing up my order, he asks me for my cvs number, which is usually done in the beginning. I saw that I had a 25% coupon on my total purchase, and asked if it would be ok to switch to that coupon instead of the $4 off $20. Without hesitation he stated "sorry but I would have to delete everything and start over... can't you come in another time?" I now looked at the long line formed because there is only one cashier, and everyone is already tense with what's going on in the world. Obviously upset, I stated, well that would save me $20 at least, but I guess I will be the better person, and grabbed my stuff and left. I was already stressed by spending way more at cvs than I would have at Walmart or target, but I shop here a lot, and I get coupons that help. Your receipts are books and books of coupons, yet every time I have used them, I get attitude. The staff at this pharmacy need to be trained in customer service. Absolutely terrible. The only nice pharmacist is no longer there. I have been made to feel like a criminal on various occasions due to the type of medication I take. The pharmacist actually yelled from the back that he needed to speak to my doctor before he would release my medication. I said my doctor said he already talked to you. He said No! I'm the only one here. There were about five people in line. So embarrassing. I will be moving my business to Walgreens. read more

This pharmacy is constantly understaffed, and the employees can be quite rude. I am a retired Air Force medic, and I have chronic pain and high blood pressure. When it comes time to refill my prescription, there always seems to be a problem. I recently went to refill one of my medications, and this pharmacy states it is out of stock. When I called regarding this, they will not answer the phone. I just don't understand how you are educated in a certain field, and incompetence is what I am getting from this particular pharmacy. We scheduled appointment for COVID vaccination in this pharmacy. When we arrived it was nobody there who could vaccinate us. The lady who supposed to do it left for the lunch. She was only one person who could do it. We had to wait almost 40 minutes. What the reason to make an appointment? It is so weird. read more

I had to stop by this CVS location for milk because we were baking brownies and so... Obviously. This is the only store in the area, so unfortunately there aren't any other options. It's an OK option, but if there was anything else, I would go there. I agree with other reviewers who said the layout of the store is really weird because it is. The store is divided in half diagonally through the middle of the store. On the left in the front are the cosmetics, the pharmacy is in the back on the right and also on the right in the back and in the front is the food, candy and seasonal items. Don't ask me any specifics because I don't know. I need to spend more time in the store because it's confusing. They did end having milk which was nice and the price wasn't bad. The prices for a lot of the food items (I didn't look at anything else) are outrageous. I would only buy something here if it was an emergency. Hence, the milk. They do have a good candy selection. The cashier that I came in contact with was nice so no cons there. There is a Drive Thru Pharmacy as well as a Redbox out front. I went to CVS 1771 Pleasant Grove Blvd to get laundry detergent for my eight-year-old daughter and her friend to make slime and grabbed the oxy clean arm and hammer from the empty slot that you seen I took a picture of in front of the $3.99 sales sign. I also purchased a jug of tide because I needed laundry detergent that I was actually going to use for laundry. When I got to the register, the arm and hammer rang up $13.49. I halready paid before I noticed, but when I received the receipt, I realized I was overcharged. I brought it to the attention of the cashier and she stated that they will go over and look to make sure it wasn't in the wrong spot. I told them even if it is in the wrong spot Walmart got in trouble for this long time ago, and they have to either honor the price but I didn't really care if they could Just give me the right product or my money back because it was just for slime. While I was waiting on them to finish up with their current customers, I walked back over to where I grabbed the detergent to take a picture of myself of the placement of the detergents. When the original cashier and the other cashier finished with their customers, they both walked over to look at the detergent and said it was just in the wrong placement. Shortly after the manager came and her, and I both walked over to the area at which point the two cashiers moved all of the detergents over to the left so it will no longer be under that sign. When the manager seen the new placement of the detergent, she then tried to tell me I seen it wrong and there's no detergent over there where the cell sign was but clearly you see I took a picture. I've been began to record her because I didn't like her attitude and the tone she was taking with me at which point she said it's against the law to record her and she was calling the police on me in front of my eight year-olds. Not only did she call the police, but we were also followed home. Please make this go viral! Worse, most inappropriate customer service ever!!!!!!! "Masteka" is the worst manager ever and needs to be fired immediately! So glad I recorded and so glad I took a picture of the area before they shifted everything over. read more

I like the pharmacy team there very much but I am very disappointed that they don't know how to train new hired pharmacy technicians. You hire these young, ambitious people and by putting them in front of the customer on their very first day stresses them and puts too much pressure on them. Everyone who trains others -in any field- knows that when you hire a new person with no experience, first you let them learn about the basics, start doing simple things and train them with the computer system well. They shadow you for weeks and after they watch you for a while, you let them serve the customer. You don't put them on the spot telling them "learn everything well today, because you might be alone tomorrow" Seirously? If anyone was that smart to learn a pharmacy computer system in one day they would't working at CVS but NASA headquarters. Why are you doing this to these young people? If I could give this pharmacy a zero I would it is sooooo bad and has been consistently bad since it was built. The staff, in general are rude, lazy and uninformed and the pharmacists refuse to do their job half the time. I don't know how many times I have had to take my scripts back because they were incorrect or not had them filled because the tech forgot to call in my refill when asked. Also, should you say anything to the staff regarding mistakes, like perhaps providing the wrong strips for the diabetes testing machine for my husband, they will turn it around on you for not catching it yourself even though you are NOT the expert nor have ever used such items before. Just one example... It is BY FAR the worst CVS I have ever been to and I wish we could use a different company but it's what our insurance requires. Zero out of a million is my review! I read more

For where this store is located you think they could just make it a bit nicer and more organized inside. I mean if you go to the Walgreens that is off of Blueoaks it's so nice and clean inside, now only if we could flip flop these two stores for me..... It seems this CVS is one of the busiest I have seen due to its location. Now that we know this why can't you have the appropriate amount of checkers on and ready to work, why does it take so long to check out? I mean really most people have like 5 items max..... CON's: Store looked 1/2 empty - like it's undergoing a renovation or they are liquidating everything. There is always a wait even though my prescription got ordered hours ahead....I had 2 sick toddlers and had to wait 20-25min for the antibiotics even though there was no line....they always offer to pick up in a few hours.....but I needed it right away....everyone seems nice but it feels like there's no structure or sense of urgency.....I can't imagine taking so long to fill some prescriptions or if they are always so busy maybe they should hire more people so they can get it done and people don't have to wait with sick kids....or they should make some situations a priority.....oh and they always triple check my insurance even though I'm on the system already....maybe they just need better management and different approach towards the customers....if they want to keep customers coming here for their medicine.... read more

I like this CVS pharmacy very much. It's large and clean, and it has everything a CVS pharmacy should have--lots of candies, pills, and cheap but delicious CVS brand cheese puffs. The frozen food section is embarassingly overpriced, but if you're buying dinner from CVS's frozen food section, you probably have only days to live anyway, so you may as well spend what you have while you still can. I get my prescription medications from their pharmacy and I like the pharmacists a great deal--very nice folks. Most of the pharmacy techs are ok, except for one gal who's life apparently didn't turn out quite as she'd hoped. She has that sort of unearned condescension that tends to come with landing a pharmacy tech job after graduating from the UC system. Overall, I do recommend this store. They can be busy at times, but the majority of the people working there seem eager to help. read more

Store is nice and new. Very clean. Those are the strong points. But I went in to buy tooth brush which was locked behind glass cabinet. There was one clerk behind front counter ringing up purchases. There was no other clerk available I guess since I stood waiting for help for 5 minutes. Got tired of waiting and walked back to pharmacy. Gal in pharmacy was busy helping the people in line. So again, I waited for a few minutes. At the end of nearly 10 minute wait with no assistance coming I walked out. Sorry CVS you lost out on this business! read more

I've never been so disappointed. I was told they had my antibiotics and they would be ready in a hour, I drove from an hour away because they were the only pharmacy who carried them and I urgently need them. I got here and was told they'd be ready in 10-15 minutes. 30 minutes later I checked on them and they hadn't even been processed. I was then told they didn't have them in stock. I am now extremely late to work and missed a dose of antibiotics for my eyes. read more

I went to the drive through to drop off a prescription for some pain medicine. It was 9:50 am when I arrived and there was no one else in the drive through. The automated greeting played and then someone inside came on the speaker and said they would be with me in a minute. I waited 10 minutes. In fact, a pickup truck pulled in behind me, but left after about 6 minutes. When the clerk finally opened the window there was no apology for the wait and simply said "Dropping off?" I handed him my prescription, he looked at it. Then he closed the window and disappeared for about two minutes. (No explanation). When he returned he asked when I wanted to pick it up. I usually wait but I figured they were busy and I would be there a long time... I said as soon as possible. He asked if an hour would be OK. It wasn't but I said fine and left. I am signed up for text alerts. I left at 10:05 am. (I had plans for the day so I checked my watch). I drove home and waited. At 12:53 PM, (almost 2 hours late) I received a text that said my prescription was ready to pickup. I grabbed my keys and drove directly there. It takes about 10 minutes to get there. I pulled up in the drive through and the same clerk greeted me. I told him I was there for a pickup and gave him my name... He looked it up and then advised me that the pharmacist had gone to lunch and my prescription was locked up. He said only the pharmacist had the keys and he could not get it. He asked if I could come back in a half hour. I asked him, "Do I have a choice?" Obviously, I was not happy but I said fine. I returned a half hour later and finally picked up the prescription. Perhaps this is acceptable from a business perspective, but from a customer service perspective, it is ridiculous. There is no reason a customer should ever be inconvenienced because of staffing levels. I understand the need to control a scheduled narcotic, but I didn't show up unannounced... In fact I was sent an automated text telling me the order was ready almost two hours after it was promised, and then forced to wait another 30 minutes to pick it up. I'm guessing they can't trust the manager with another set of keys???? This is very likely my last prescription fill with CVS. read more

If I could give this place a negative 10 I would. I came to print a few photos. The machines are slow. They don't have any one to help you. The Facebook app on their machine only gives you 100 per album so I couldn't see any of the pictures I actually needed to print out. Walgreens is so much better when it comes to photos read more

The pharmacy is rude. Staff is not friendly and a prefer to play on phone than help customers. They quote the wrong price for the prescription then yell at you. The whole staff is new as this was their answer when they tried to over bill for the prescription. If anyone put in a good drugstore they are just doing it as a favor to someone they know. This is the first pharmacy that they believe that yelling at a customer is acceptable. I find the management, staff, and pharmacy to all be incompetent on the basis of customer service and staff. I turned them into the the department of Board of Pharmacy as they are abusive and are not following the legal guidelines. I hope others read this and know you can make a difference by turning them into the Board of Pharmacy. read more

Good location next to Safeway and being conveniently close to both the back roads and highway 65. I personally don't use the pharmacy here, but I have never had a negative experience shopping here. One thing I like about all CVS locations is their great ad specials and the added bonus of those random coupons you get. Free toothpaste, tylenol, candy bars, and shampoo are among the free things I have gotten from the random coupons. read more

Most of the pharmacy staff seems to go out of their way to help & I agree with other reviewers that there is at least one member that goes against the grain. I had called the day before to get a script refilled before its auto-fill date and was told it would be run through in the morning and I could pick it up by noon. Noon was good since I knew I would actually be swinging by in the early afternoon but I called ahead just to check. "Unfortunately mine is just one on 8 pages and they haven't gotten to it yet." Have to rearrange my schedule so I can swing back by later which the tech couldn't care less about. Got the feeling this was more the rule then the exception and nothing will change in the future. Why should it - according to the tech -they isn't anything to correct. Not sure if its just one person there or more but I will probably start looking for another pharmacy :( read more

I find it hard to understand why a chain pharmacy can have such restricted hours. They don't open until 9am and close at 9pm, 6pm on Sunday. That would be fine if people didn't get sick outside of standard business hours. read more

Why would the store sell disposable cameras if they can't develop them? The manager basically talked me out of getting my cameras developed, because it seemed like too much work for him. He made no eye contact and refused to stop moving boxes to answer my questions. Not sure why he would be ok with me taking my business to another store. read more

Came for passport picture. The lady came after she was paged by another clerk. Took the camera, and just quickly snap pictures. Did not allow me to choose which one to print. She printed it, chatted a little bit and handed me the passport picture. When I told her I don't like how the picture turned out, she quickly disappeared. Rude customer service. I recently moved the WestPark and decided to give this a shot instead of my normal Safeway pharmacy because it's closer to home. After two horrible experiences, I will never go back. I had a prescription filled at this location where I was to receive a seven day supply of antibiotics, they only gave my a five day supply. When I called back concerning this three days later they advised me to just come back and they would give me the extra days worth of pills. They didn't verify my ID or anything. Even worse I didn't go pick up the pills because my husband did it for me. They didn't ask him anything, just handed him the pills. They have poor customer service and are misinformed with how to properly handle prescription transfers, etc. Needless to say I will not be going back. read more
