Appalling behavior by Teresa Zhang (Pharmacy Manager) CVS should be ashamed to have this pharmacy…read morewith CVS branding; also, the pharmacy technicians are even worse! My singular visit today, Friday, 02/06/26, is not the first time my experience has been disturbing. I've been using them for the past 3-4 months, one visit per month, and EverySingleTime (!!!) it's a mess with unbelievable disrespect and rudeness. I drove up to window and the pharm tech said there was nothing in the system for me but when I told her the name of the medication, suddenly it was in the system. She said she cannot dispense it and I'm welcome to go into the store and speak with the pharmacy manager (Teresa Zhang), I said "that's a great idea!" I go in, approach the window, and Teresa Zhang is there working on something. I ask "are you the pharmacy manager?" and she gives me a look of disgust, answering "yes" (I knew she is from previous interactions). She tells me she will not dispense the medication because it's too early, to return Sunday, 02/08/2026, I tell her my physician ordered this medication for pick up today and that I'm only following my physician's instructions. She then starts talking about some sort of arbitrary policy, that's not posted anywhere nor available to find online. She also said that I've been picking up my Rx early over the past few months and because of that, I have to wait. Because of my previous experiences with Teresa, I was already angry, and we started yelling over each other - creating a scene with pharmacy staff and all the clients waiting watching. When I started (first time) with this medication I should have been notified about her beliefs being imposed on patients, at least I would have known and been prepared. Knowing would have also given me the chance to do business with another pharmacy. On one occasion, Teresa Zhang refused to dispense my prepared prescription (she waved it in front of me through the drive through window), saying I need to return the old, unused medication before she will dispense the prescription she was waving in front of me. Granted the Rx is a controlled substance, but my physician determined the old medication doesn't work and I needed a new (similar) medication. There is no indication, anywhere, that clients/patients must return old, unused medication to retrieve their new one. Because of my need, I went home, picked up the old medication, returned, and when I dropped the medication she said "thank you" but in a really snarky way and after the transaction was complete, another snarky toned "have a good day." Stay away!!!

Makes you rethink your life choices. In terms of prices, again, I had to take some pictures of how expensive the nail clippers were for just 1 example of a simple basic self-care item. Food if you just need a snack, don't go here, go to Smart N Final next store unless you enjoy the highway robbery experience. I shop here when they send me coupons for $ off, but I support a local pharmacy rather than this corporate one. This area is much more sketchy now than ever, sadly, and I would not come here by myself at night or period, daytime is ok.

I stopped by Power Market on Laguna Boulevard on my way to kiddo school pickup, and it reminded me…read morewhy I always like coming here. This is one of the few places where I can reliably find sugar-free Red Bull in stock, which isn't always the case at other convenience stores. They also carry the harder-to-find monk fruit version, which my husband loves and is surprisingly difficult to track down. But my personal little treasure hunt here is always the candy section. Every once in a while I find my hidden gem -- the Skor bar. And for anyone thinking it's basically the same as a Heath Bar, it's not. Totally different, and not many places carry Skor anymore. Today I looked all over the store thinking they were out... until I spotted the final three bars sitting right by the cashier. Another thing I appreciate here is the staff. The super tall guy who's often working the register is always friendly and welcoming, and he consistently reminds me to use my loyalty card, which I appreciate because I would absolutely forget otherwise. They also carry Sweet Tart Ropes in a bunch of different flavors, and I always grab the "flavor of the month" aka holiday ropes when I see it. It's a small thing, but I like slipping one into my kid's lunch box as a little surprise treat--just a tiny "thinking about you, hope this makes you smile" moment during their school day. Helpful tip: Check near the register for the Skor bars if you're hunting for one--they're sometimes stocked there instead of the main candy aisle. Between the hard-to-find snacks, the fun rotating treats, and genuinely friendly service, this is one of those neighborhood convenience stops that keeps me coming back.

Adj: mediocre This…read moreis another neighborhood pharmacy. Although I do not have any Rx scripts here, the location is convenient at the corner of Riverside and Florin, and sometimes it's a quick stop to pick up an essential or an item that I forgot to get at another store and don't want to backtrack. However, there have been reports of several incidents here, so safety can be a concern. I do not come here alone after dark, and try not to come here at night at all with or without someone accompanying. The store seems quite short-staffed, sadly. I ordered some photos to be printed here and on the evening when hubby and I came to pick them up on the way home from the gym, there were only 2 staff in the whole store, and both of them were cashiering. We had to wait till one of them cleared their line of customers checking out before she was available to help us get our several photo orders. As far as shopping here, there are usually well-stocked shelves, but sometimes they seem to stock their items in non-intuitive places and it takes me awhile to find what I'm looking for and staff is scarce so I don't try to find a staff person to help me find the item(s). The prices here, as w/other pharmacies like CVS (pretty much the only other chain pharmacy left), are pretty high, so definitely have to watch for sales if you're flexible about an item's brand or variety. Otherwise, it would be much less expensive for a food or essential item if bought at the Grocery Outlet just across the street. Occasionally, Walgreen's would offer promotions on their photo printing such as a free 8x10 or a few free 4x6, and it's quite easy to use either their app or their website to upload pictures to be printed at the store and although the quality isn't the best, it's pretty ok from my experience of what I need them for. Overall, this Walgreens is a helpful place, but isn't in the safest part of the greater Greenhaven area, and so it is best to only come in daylight.

I'm not usually the one doing the grocery shopping if that's not obvious, but I like to assist my wifey and earn some points plus get some steps in, so I don't mind going with. I'm an excellent cart driver or basket carrier, if I may say so myself, ha. In any case, I forget how much food prices have gone up. I got serious sticker shock here. The Wife had a game plan of just getting several essentials, plus she had clipped coupons ahead of time, so we are not prone to impulse buys, so it was a quick trip. Still, we did a bit of browsing because this store is quite nice. It's always clean, well organized, brightly lit, and there are some gems if you look for ad sale items. Nowadays though, you have to log into the website or your Raley's app and add coupons first, or you won't get the sale prices. Some of the sales are as good as or better than big box store prices, but you have to look for them. For example, this week Cage Free large eggs are $1.99/doz, but limit 2 per account, that's why wifey had me come along so we could buy 2 sets of 2 b/c we go through eggs like it's going out of style. I wandered around too and saw the lovely produce section with all the polished and glistening fruits and fresh vegetables. Bel Air/Raley's does have the best produce around. I then went to see how much my favorite healthy snacks cost here vs. where I usually get them (Grocery Outlet). Check out my pictures. I love pickles, those were pretty good prices. I also saw fresh squeezed or at least 100% juice in the produce fridge case and those are some mighty fine juices for double digit prices. I guess I'll be squeezing my own oranges and apples should I desire to drink some fresh juice. Finally, I had to check out snacks and there were some good deals like Milano cookies were on sale and the Boom Chicka Pop popcorn and some other crackers were on sale too. Not too bad for those. All in all, Bel Air is a good grocery store and as long as you watch what you're buying and add some coupons, the prices can be reasonable. This is not a place to just grab whatever your eyes desire unless you've won the jackpot...

I discovered this when I stopped at Belair on my way home from work to pick up a few items and saw a line of customers at the deli counter about 10 people deep. Hot wok deli sounded like a good idea so I walked to the end of the line and student place. It only took about five minutes for me to get to the front of the line, which happened to move rather quickly. There were two food servers spread across the counter simultaneously helping customers and there were additional cooks working their wok magic in the kitchen behind the counter. For my two entrées, I ordered broccoli, chicken stir-fry and orange chicken, and a double scoop of stir fried rice. An extra large clamshell container was used for the hot walk 2 X 2 Thursday special and the food servers were extremely generous with the enormous scoops they packed into every customers containers which are securely closed, slapped with a label, and wrapped in a bag to go.
