Not good. Prices are sky high. Store is clean and organized, but the line to check out is a long wait even when there's only 1 person in front of me bc they are SO slow. Makes you rethink your life choices. In terms of prices, again, I had to take some pictures of how expensive the nail clippers were for just 1 example of a simple basic self-care item. Food if you just need a snack, don't go here, go to Smart N Final next store unless you enjoy the highway robbery experience. I shop here when they send me coupons for $ off, but I support a local pharmacy rather than this corporate one. This area is much more sketchy now than ever, sadly, and I would not come here by myself at night or period, daytime is ok. read more

This location is quite convenient for us. We don't care for chain corporate pharmacies, but this CVS is at the corner of Freeport and Florin, so it's really easy access if you're going north on Freeport towards downtown/midtown. In any case, I've been here several times for basic items, the sale prices for food items, especially their storebrand which used to be "Gold Emblem" and is now "Well Market" are pretty good. I've gotten some trail mix and energy nuts blend type of snacks from here and the quality is good for the price when it's ON SALE, otherwise, it's on the expensive side and one would do much better buying in bulk from Costco and making your own snack nut mix. The rest of the store is pretty nice and clean, no complaints there, but to check out, there's no self-check-out at this location AND the line moves snail slow so it does tests my patience, which I'm usually not too bad about, but it drives my wife a little annoyed b/c there could be just 1 person in front and yet take 5-10 minutes, so not sure what's going on there and unlike the other CVS we're even closer to, off of Rush River Dr, this one has no self-check-out, so there's no way to avoid the line. Also, this corner isn't the safest place, so we avoid coming after dark. It is next to Smart & Final, so one could get grocery and run a pharmacy errand in one go and that is quite convenient. read more

Out of all the local pharmacies CVS prescriptions cost more if you had to use a prescription coupon card. Like with any places the staff and service at this particular location is off and on. I switched to an independent pharmacy because of this store. It took the district manager to get all the prescriptions transferred then all the prescriptions were not transferred. They were to transfer prescriptions from another CVS location which they can do to the independent pharmacy... they were instructed to do this by the DM. Instead they marked them so you couldn't request it to be filled, transferred or looked inactive or already to other pharmacies by hiding it. Even when a pharmacist called to check on it, they told that pharmacist the prescription didn't exist but it did. This hinders a patient from getting their medication as prescribed and on time. They also entered our insurance incorrectly so we had to fill prescription at another pharmacy who knew how to enter the insurance. read more

Appalling behavior by Teresa Zhang (Pharmacy Manager) CVS should be ashamed to have this pharmacy with CVS branding; also, the pharmacy technicians are even worse! My singular visit today, Friday, 02/06/26, is not the first time my experience has been disturbing. I've been using them for the past 3-4 months, one visit per month, and EverySingleTime (!!!) it's a mess with unbelievable disrespect and rudeness. I drove up to window and the pharm tech said there was nothing in the system for me but when I told her the name of the medication, suddenly it was in the system. She said she cannot dispense it and I'm welcome to go into the store and speak with the pharmacy manager (Teresa Zhang), I said "that's a great idea!" I go in, approach the window, and Teresa Zhang is there working on something. I ask "are you the pharmacy manager?" and she gives me a look of disgust, answering "yes" (I knew she is from previous interactions). She tells me she will not dispense the medication because it's too early, to return Sunday, 02/08/2026, I tell her my physician ordered this medication for pick up today and that I'm only following my physician's instructions. She then starts talking about some sort of arbitrary policy, that's not posted anywhere nor available to find online. She also said that I've been picking up my Rx early over the past few months and because of that, I have to wait. Because of my previous experiences with Teresa, I was already angry, and we started yelling over each other - creating a scene with pharmacy staff and all the clients waiting watching. When I started (first time) with this medication I should have been notified about her beliefs being imposed on patients, at least I would have known and been prepared. Knowing would have also given me the chance to do business with another pharmacy. On one occasion, Teresa Zhang refused to dispense my prepared prescription (she waved it in front of me through the drive through window), saying I need to return the old, unused medication before she will dispense the prescription she was waving in front of me. Granted the Rx is a controlled substance, but my physician determined the old medication doesn't work and I needed a new (similar) medication. There is no indication, anywhere, that clients/patients must return old, unused medication to retrieve their new one. Because of my need, I went home, picked up the old medication, returned, and when I dropped the medication she said "thank you" but in a really snarky way and after the transaction was complete, another snarky toned "have a good day." I've been consistently impressed with this CVS location. It was over two years ago when I first came here to pick up supplies for my mom who had been placed in hospice care. I will never forget the kindness of the pharmacist who helped me decipher the large pack of medications. I was pretty much on autopilot after being with my mom for a week in the hospital but he helped me understand what the medications were and the dosing (actually a lot better than the hospice nurses). Since then I switched my own medications to this location. It is convenient to where I live and the staff, while under a corporate entity, seem to always manage to be helpful and kind despite the intense workload. When I have had issues related to my monthly migraine injection they have been helpful on the phone. They actually answer the phone and try to help get the info you need. This medication seems to need a special order every month and is often out of stock locally. With heir help I have kept on a regular schedule of the injections. I like the CVS app to keep me updated and request refills but it's not perfect and the phone calls help clear up some issues. The drive in widow is convenient and the wait inside is typically not very long. Hours that are posted on Google are usually accurate and they do change. The pharmacy opens at 10 am, closes at 6 PM on weekends and is open at 9 am until 8 at night M-F the last I checked. It's not a 24/7 pharmacy. They also have a lunch hour where it is closed. read more

I also like the varieties of deals that come up and I am so glad they keep asking me about the membership. Has its own parking lot. Clean interior with some bare shelves. Nearly empty in the afternoon on the weekend. Some of the staff wear masks, some don't. Nonexistent line at checkout and no frills customer service. The cashier was nice but was preoccupied with her phone while processing my purchase. Always busy and the staff is always hustling. I appreciate that above all else because if your store is slow and you still move without purpose, it truly can make the customer feel even more angry as a result. I went into the store to pick up medicines multiple times and when I had an issue and I called speak with a pharmacist, I was able to and she was very kind, patient, and helpful. There isn't much more you can ask for. They do shut down for lunch between 12:30-1pm so just be aware if you are on a time crunch. read more

I went for a covid test in their drive through pharmacy with an appointment. There are no signs telling you where to go. After 10 minutes in the righthand lane, I get to the front and am told I'm in the wrong lane and will have to start over in the lefthand lane. I wait in the left lane for a while before I get to the front. I then sit there in my car, waving and calling "hello?" Before someone finally notices me and says, "Have you been helped?" I wait another 10 minutes before they ask for my name and birthdate. I wait more. 45 minutes after my appointment time, I am told that they are switching computer systems and they have to wait "until it shows green." Over an hour after my appointment time I am handed a test. The best part of all of this: they lost my test result. It's now 9 days since I took the test and they still have no results nor any idea where they might be. On a separate occasion, I had a virtual Minute Clinic visit and got a prescription sent directly to the pharmacy. The pharmacy has the order but not the script, and they can't do anything with it. The wait times at the pharmacy are always long, even if you don't encounter issues like this. read more

Considering it is a pharmacy the actual pharmacy department is a mess and they'll leave you on hold for more than 5 mins and then hang up on you. If you want prescriptions then be prepared to wait forever and if they give you an estimated time don't count on it Bc when you go back they'll add more time as if you have nothing to do but wait for their long inaccurate wait times. read more

This store has everything expensive! Nothing is inexpensive, even the cheaper things. It takes forever to get your medication. If you go up to the drive up window, count on 10 minutes per car. If you're the third car expect 30 minutes. It doesn't matter how many people are working, how busy they are, you better not be in a hurry. Yet there are some very nice people that work in that store, and some you wish that they could clone. I guess they need someone to put a burr under them so that they work faster. Was visiting florin Rd.& Freeport Blvd CVS pharmacy on Saturday 8/31/24 ,just happened that I had one of the most georgeous woman I have ever seen assist me in acquiring some medication for my brother in law, Salma I do believe was her name and I was left speechless & in awwe as she went to work I on locating my bros. Medication ! I have done two drive through Covid tests here and got results in 24 hours. I highly recommend you booking appointments ahead of time. Plan ahead as appointments seem to be 2 weeks out at the moment. It's convenient and easy. You stay in your car the whole time. There is a wait if you have cars in front of you as it is the pharmacy line. I've never had issues here and would highly recommend a covid test here if you can get an appointment. read more

My review is solely based on the minute clinic inside CVS. I made an appointment online and it shows you the estimated wait time, which is pretty cool. They'll tell you exactly what services they do in office and I believe it is 24/7. Upon arrival I had to check in on the monitor (which apparently shows my name since it was holding a place in line for me). It was a bit of a drag. Some other lady came after me, and was getting anxious like she needed to be seen asap. So best bet is to make an appointment online to hold your place in line. I was seen by a nurse practitioner and she was pretty cool. I probably took a good 30 mins with her and she responded better to me than my regular pcm. She listened to my concerns and made me more aware of my options vs my doc who prefers me in and out of her office within 5-10 mins without the options. I had a great experience. read more

I really enjoy this CVS. It's new, clean and the staff is incredibly friendly. If you have read my previous reviews you know I'm a stickler for great customer service. When I walk in I'm always greeted,and I always see a manager on duty willing to help out. While the prices are not always the lowest, I know I can count on someone friendly to order what I need. They have great sales, good two for ones, and their generic brands are decent. When I am in a hurry after the gym or work, a speedy staff is what you're looking for. The pharmacy never makes me wait too long they are very efficient like a well oiled machine. What I really like is when they have their booze on sale. Yes that's right I have no shame in buying alcohol here at a lower price. Plus I dig their variety of corn nuts. This is your typical neighborhood corner drugstore that carries a little bit of everything. It used to be called Longs Drugs and now it's CVS. The corner it occupies is a little off from the streets, so it may not be noticed by the casual driver. However, it seems to get busy during the times I have shopped there. I come here every so often to get a few products that I can't seem to find elsewhere. It is conveniently located near my work, so I can swing by to get last minute birthday cards & gifts, cosmetics, vitamins, or cold medications. They even carry some "As Seen on TV" merchandise that I must have for my health and wellness necessities. During my most recent visit here is what prompted me to finally think of writing a review. I was in search of some items that I couldn't find anywhere in the store. Finally, I found the store manager, dressed nicely in a shirt and tie, stocking paper towels in one of the aisles. He kindly stopped what he was doing to walk to the areas that had the products. (Well one item was not in stock). But he was very nice and not grumbly about being disturbed. Also, I was in the medicine aisle and could over hear one of the pharmacy staff remaining polite and pleasant even though one of the customers was rude about some issue with what his prescription insurance plan would not cover. Then finally, at the check out line, the young woman at the register continued with more pleasantries and smiles. Making my whole chore of coming here after a long day at work end in a more positive note. After that, I couldn't wait to get home and try on my new pair of "Pajama Jeans" and "i Renew" bracelet, along with a splurge on some sour worms candy! Ha! Ha! read more

Even Kaiser was better than this....I have gotten other patients rx TWICE and the staff could honestly care less so their motto about "CVS Cares" is BS! I needed to get a Covid test to avoid having to quarantine for 10 days when I returned to Hawaii. PCR Test sample was collected on Friday, at 3:50 PM and the results came back around 32.5 hours later. Great turnaround considering test was taken just before the weekend starts. CVS makes it clear the test is $139 for individuals whose medical insurance does not cover travel purposes. Beware of sites that suggest low cost for tests. It won't be low if your insurance does not cover non-medical purposes like travel. I cancelled one appointment at another when I found out it would cost me $200 and the site did not publish the price. Nor did they get back to me after multiple messages were left. Additional Tips: 1) Whatever place you use, be sure it's on the Safe Travels partner list. 2) Make the appointment early so you get the time and location you want. 3) Hawaii requires PCR test. Rapid Test will not qualify for Safe Travels program. Excellent pre-test Instructions/Video: CVS sends you a link ahead of time so you can familiarize yourself on the steps for taking the sample and for storing it in their collection box. CVS repeats instructions when you start test. They use a microphone to direct you through the window. Taking your own swab sample isn't fun but not as bad as I imagined and certainly better than being quarantined for 10 days. Glad I went there! Kudos to CVS at Florin/Freeport location. read more

DO NOT go here for a COVID-19 test. At best, it's a complete waste of time. I have been unable to get my test results because the "My Chart" system will not activate my account. I have called the right tel.numbers and e-mailed the right addresses over and over, but to no avail. I was on hold for more than a hour and finally gave up, and then tried different extensions, incl. for lab results, and got busy signals. When I send e-mails, I just get generic responses. What a HUGE waste of time. I'm glad I'm not really sick. I would be very concerned if I had waited four days and still was unable to find out the real cause of my sickness. I am going to contact my insurance company to let them not to cover this place. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I had a photo sent to this location for my husband to pick up on his way from work. I received an email stating my 1 photo was ready for pick up. When my husband went to pick it up they told him it would be at least a couple of hours. He gave the order # to the clerk and said that we received an email saying it was ready for pick up. The clerk told my husband that it was probably wrong and to disregard the email and refused to even go check for him. When I called shortly after my husband left, they said the picture was ready for pick up. So my husband was there, could have picked up the picture, but this clerk was so lazy and inconsiderate he didn't even bother to check. This is not the first time I've had an incident similar to this at other CVSs, they've just lost my business. read more

I had a good experience at this CVS the other day when I drove a friend here so he could get a refill for his prescription. The relatively new building is large and bright and well kept. The staff was helpful, there is a row of chairs so one can be comfortable while waiting, I found a pair of sunglasses like I wanted but had not been able to find anywhere else, and the security guard was not only not freaked out by my Rottweiler Service Dog, but he enjoyed meeting her. I also appreciate how CVS has stopped selling cigarettes, and I understand this location is open 24hrs a day. All good. I will be back. read more

My review is regarding the pharmacy. My doctor is a certified pain management physician. It seems bad word of mouth went around, and someone said he was over prescribing. The officials came in, went thru the doctors patient files, and found absolutely nothing wrong! He has all is documented paperwork and certificates to prescribe pain management drugs. But the pharmacy chain CVS, hasnt caught up with the fact that this physician is cleared to practice medicine and prescribe drugs! They want the doctor to now fax to them that the patient is on a "treatment plan", or in a "treatment center", basically calling the patients drug addicts! My doctor is upset with this "treatment" idea, and only as a last resort would want to do this for CVS. There are many other pharmacies that will accept my doctors scripts, just avoid the big chain pharmacies with their draconian policies, and use a local pharmacy. CVS just lost a longtime customer. I am now using a local pharmacy, and glad CVS isn't getting our money. read more

I came here on 9/30/2021 to get a flu shot and a shingles shot. I had made an appointment so I would be sure to get them. At exactly 10:30 am, a polite young lady called me behind the partition to get the shots . Her name was Teresa. She gave me the Shingles shot and said someone else had to give me the flu shot. An extremely rude woman who happened to be Asian came in. She started filling a syringe while Teresa was trying to give her the flu shot medicine. I ended up taking it from her. Without making eye contact with me, she said she was going to give a Covid shot to another guy since other people were waiting. Then she comes back in and says she's giving this guys wife a shot because they've been waiting. This couple also happened to be Asian. At this time, I flipped out and reminded her I've had an appointment, the time wasted is their fault, and I was there before this couple. Since she came in looking angry and couldn't look me in the eye, and then proceeded to help only Asians, I'm calling the race card. By the low score on Yelp, you can see the manager allows this type of behavior. read more

I wish I could give this cvs 0 stars!!!! I'm getting surgery in a few days and one of the requirements is to have done a Covid anti body test. So I'm waiting at the minute clinic and an Asian NP named Jessica greets me. She wasn't the most welcoming but she wasn't rude at this point. I take a seat and she asks starts asking me questions as to why I'm having this test done. I tell her it's for surgery and she says she's not sure if they're allowed to clear for surgery and moved on to other questions. She then asks me if I'm vaccinated and I let her know I'm not yet and her entire demeanor changes. She immediately starts being hostile. She goes on to say that according to the guidelines they're not allowed to do the anti body test to clear for surgery. I politely ask if I can see the guidelines and where it's mentioned that this test can't be performed for this reason. She tells me to get out before she calls security. IF YOU ARE REFUSING SERVICE THEN YOU DAMN SURE NEED TO HAVE THIS "GUIDELINE" on hand. Why does it matter why I'm having this test done? This isn't an antigen test it's an ANTIBODY. Still not sure what her reasoning was for refusing me service but Jessica you were wrong for so many reasons to treat another human being the way you did. I hope one day your license as an NP gets taken away!!!!!! I will be speaking to a lawyer about this. read more

I've never felt so disrespected like this in a long time. I have a torn meniscus and ACL in my right knee, my physical therapy doctor gave me a prescription for Norco. I dropped it off at the pharmacist on 12/14/20 and I asked her (do you need any more information from me) she stated NO it would be ready in an hour. I said ok, but I'll come by and pick it up tomorrow 12/15. Well today I come pick it up and it was never filled out. The pharmacist said the name doesn't match the slip and insurance card! When I showed them BOTH Insurance card and state ID it showed both of my last names. Then they told me they cold only give me 6 pills instead of 15 because of my last name! WTF my last name has to do with the number of pills the doctor prescribed to me! So if your name is Williams or Jackson you can only get half. They made me feel like a f**king drug seeker that can't have those kinda pills. They Also told me to take my prescription to another pharmacy to see if they can fill it. So now I'm still in pain writing this in there parking lot. I'm going to have my meds and anything else switched to a whole different place. I'm done with every CVS in the US. read more
