I took a paper prescription there and was told they would have to call the doctor to confirm the prescription was valid. They NEVER Called my Doctor to confirm my prescription and - because of that - I did not get my prescription that day. They transferred the prescription to the CVS pharmacy nearest me - but, because they never verified it - they never transferred the prescription properly, either. So I spent the rest of the afternoon phoning my local CVS pharmacy: trying to find out what had happened to my prescription!! Don't go to this pharmacy - they dropped the ball, and didn't do any follow up at all - and I went to bed without my medication. I won't be back to the Mission Valley Target's pharmacy!!! I suggest you avoid them also - Especially if you expect to get your prescription the SAME Day! _________________________________________________________________________ Update: these incompetent people at CVS couldn't fill my prescription in TWO Days - so I had my Doctor Fax the prescription to Walgreens instead. Walgreens fixed me up with my pills in 2 hours - something this CVS pharmacy couldn't manage to do in TWO Whole Days!!!! CVS lost my business. I'll NEVER take ANY Prescription to any CVS Pharmacy ever again!!!! These dumb people just cost the chain thousands of dollars worth of future business - and they don't know - and they don't care. Waking up sick called for running over to CVS Pharmacy to get some medicine to hopefully cure me sooner than later. This location isn't even the closest one to me but I know it is one I can rely on to be quick and easy. I was in and out of there in 15 minutes and the lady at the pharmacy was able to show me all my different options. Though I am laying in bed today writing this so happy I am on the mend and hopefully it ends quickly because this time of year being sick is going around. read more

I called about a week to make sure they accept Kaiser Insurance , and was told they do. A lady suggested I text a certain number to make an appointment or walk in. I scheduled by text and answered a few questions they have and was given the day and time I wanted. I have the appointment for my entire family of 4. Today, we showed up and there's a total confusion because right beside them there was a room that said clinic. We lined up there, lady asked if we have an appointment I said yes she couldn't find us on her schedule so she said it maybe the one beside it which is the pharmacy. This clinic is the actual Kaiser clinic which I never knew. I went to the Pharmacy and the Pharmacist explained they are different than the clinic. This time I'am at the right place. I said we have an appointment for 4 people but there are people ahead of me. So I guess the appointment don't matter, because if other people shows up before you they will take them first. Anyway, I could careless now that it's all messed up. I gave them 4 stars because the pharmacist is very pleasant while I explained the confusion to begin with. The Pharmacy tech is also nice enough to take all of my information. I gave them both a thumbs up for being understanding and working safe and best they could. Pharmacist is the one administering the shot. She sanitized the chair and area after each one except if you are a family. And for that reason, I will return next year if they offer it again. Since we have insurance there's no co pay needed. Not sure if this applies to all, they will run your insurance info upon checking in. read more

CVS has a contract with Target, yet the Target employees don't respect the space needed for CVS. I entered Target for my prescription at 940am. I couldn't see any signage for store hours so, I ask Target employee who states 10am. if pharmacy was open on a Sunday. I wait until 10am, the pharmacy is still closed. I find a sign for the Clinic stating 11am. As to save gas, I decide to stay until 11am. By 10:57am, the doors are still not open, so I ask another Target employee, she says they are closed on Sunday. In disbelief, I ask another employee, who says 11am and points the pharmacy operating hour sign. It is BURIED behind the inventory racks! I wasted 1.5 hours based on the wrong information and hidden signage. The pharmacy manager was awesome and attended to my needs very well. Talk w Target and make sure your pharmacy is properly represented during off hours. read more

Friendly, informative and fast. This pharmacy made it easy to get what I needed. They were clear about all of my options too. I paid cash, so they attached a coupon discount to it which was nice. This pharmacy is inside a Target store which was convenient because I could shop while I waited for my prescription to be filled. In fact, after I discovered I had zero refills and called my original doctor I made a telemedicine appointment in Target at the Starbucks. The doctor prescribed the medicine I needed and CVS filled it for me. It couldn't have been much more convenient than that. read more

The Asian guy that's the manager, what's going on man? Really, what's wrong? You used to be such a nice guy, I got my prescriptions from you for years, and lately you've turned into an absolute jerk. I thought you had a personal problem with me the last few times i picked up my prescription but i realized you treat others poorly as well. Yes, Your job is important, it can really affect people's lives, understand that and please act upon it with integrity, and empathy ... not with attitude and ego. Pharmacies around here have terrible reputations so I was nervous to go anywhere, but this one has decent reviews so it won out. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! There wasn't a line (even at 5:30 on a Tuesday), the pharmacist (Vinny) was friendly and used de-identifying information about my prescriptions so that people lurking around wouldn't know what we were talking about. That isn't a huge deal with my fluoxetine but I'm sure that people really appreciate it if they're picking up "embarrassing" medications, plus it's just good HIPAA policy. I'm having my prescriptions transferred here so I'll be able to update later on about how consistent my positive experiences are. But so far, so good! Thanks, Vinny! read more

I just had surgery and had went to two pharmacies that happened to be closed. I came to this pharmacy Bc target is usually a great place. At first I wasn't even greeted after standing around for a few mins. Next I wait almost an hour for the most basic medication. The pharmacist tells me she can only process two out of the three medications bc 800 Tylenol is too high! Wtf so I call my doctor and they say they will give her a call back and I end up waiting another 20 mins. Unacceptable behavior for people who work in the care industry. read more

This CVS is inside Target. A bit of a gem tucked away on the bottom floor on the east side of the building. You might not even know it's there unless you looked for it. Pharmacy staff and Pharmacist Sarah are excellent. Although I live Downtown, I find this location more convenient as there is ample parking and the service is very fast. Called in to ask about a medication, and the individual who answers may have been one of the rudest people to ever answer a phone from a business I have personally encountered. By no means was I expecting some top tier experience, but simply answering my questions without attitude, rushing me, or simply without the demeanor of someone who was irritated that they had to answer any questions at all would be nice. I honestly wouldn't be so irate if this call wasn't about medication that I need on the daily. First I asked if they had my medication in stock. He asked what it was. I replied by asking if he would like to pull up my account--sure I can give you the name, but I feel more comfortable if you pull my info up and make sure you know exactly which one I'm looking for. A simple "well if you know the name that's all the info I need" would be cool, but instead he's just like "no", "no give me the name" and that's it. Just dry, mean, and short. The rest of the convo went a lot like this, where the individual came off aggressive--like I was the 15th straight call about this in the last5 minutes and he couldn't handle it anymore. Whatever the case may be, no one is expecting the red carpet, but being a decent human being would be nice. read more

I just observed the most patient pharmacist who works extremely well with children. I saw Dr. Tran give a small child a vaccine shot and the child did not even blink. I also received my vaccine shot from him and I could not have been happier with the whole experience. I couldn't recommend this CVS pharmacy more! read more

My favorite CVS pharmacy in San Diego!!! It is rarely ever busy at this location. The employees working here are friendly and seem to have it together. If there is a delay for some reason, I can shop at Target or go see a movie in the mall. read more

Instead I had to wait on the phone for 30 minutes and by the time someone answered I only had 15 minutes to get there with my infant before closing. I suggest later hours and more staff especially during the flu season or during peak hours like after work. read more
