That meant that the rest of the aisles were left to have items fight for counter space. Unfortunately on both of my visits here I did not find what I needed and had to venture elsewhere to get those items. Customer service wasn't too bad here, they were attentive to the needs of those in the store, but at some points they appeared to be bothered to help you at first. It is what it is. I view this more as a community convenience store than a Rite Aid. I suppose if you live in the neighborhood it is better than trekking to wherever to get a quick item.

I came here several times in order to buy supplies, and prescriptions from the pharmacy. One challenge of this location is fairly large number of homeless nearby. That has resulted in theft from this store. This CVS now has continuous armed guard at the door keeping this establishment safe. I have witnessed first hand experience of shop lifting attempts while guards have actively prevented it from taking place. The grey spotless wall, the great spotless floor, the big counter, nice and hight to keep the riffraff at bay. Now the pharmacy situation got more and more dispensed that I went to Hillcrest pharmacy and didn't recognize one person working there. I'm so glad that the best, most knowledgeable, and friendly pharmacist , Ivy Rooney went and started her own pharmacy called simply, "Ivy Pharmacy" on 4th Ave downstairs from Martinis Cocktail bar and directly across the street from the entrance to Club San Diego. It's fabulous.
