Yesterday, January 13th, at 2 PM, I went to this CVS store, but unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant shopping experience. I asked a female employee wearing glasses about a promotion on hair dye products. Her explanation completely contradicted the promotional information clearly displayed on the price tag. Due to the inconsistency, I decided not to purchase the product. At this point, she told me I needed to put the item back myself. Honestly, I thought I had misheard her, as I had never encountered this situation in any store before. Of course, I asked again, "Are you telling me to put it back myself?" She firmly replied, "Yes, because you're not buying it." This was the first time I've experienced something like this, and I found her attitude very rude and unprofessional. In my opinion, she is not suited for customer facing sales work. Ironically, her attitude was more like giving orders than providing customer service. In short, this experience left me with a very bad impression and severely impacted my shopping experience. I immediately went to a nearby Safeway , where the same product was not only cheaper but the service was also as attentive as always. read more

I had a very bad experience at CVS photo service department not only once but twice in a month. 1st of all the lady at the counter was very unprofessional and un-trained who wasted too much time just to take out my printouts. Then she asks you your phone and email. Since I order and paid my photo prints online, I told her I already have my phone and email address on CVS photo ordering page that's how i knew the order is complete and ready to pick up, but she was still insisting to get my phone and email again. After that she opened my photos without my permission and looking inside the envelope. 2nd time I went again, and she did the same and open my photos without my permission. She wasted so much time in arguments that I'd got late from my dentist appointment. Very bad and disappointing experience from very un-professional and untrained staff at CVS Tassajara branch located at Danville, CA, 94506. No more recommendation and visit to this store. read more

Today I went in to buy a gift card and a birthday card. Long story short the cashier named Denise was extremely rude to the guy in front of me and myself. She was angry the guy wanted to use the self check out then towards me she was fighting me about the validity of my credit card and license. It was pretty obnoxious and drawn out and she was accusing me of using my non existent husband's card when the names and faces matched. So, I came in today to get one item... An employee, Balqees, asks me if I want to sign up for CarePass, which I assumed was some free rewards thing. She tells me to put in my credit card, which I assumed was for the water I was purchasing. Then she rings me up for my water. I was very confused and looked at the email I received where I will now be charged $5/mo for something that I don't even quite know what it's for. I'm pretty sure it's illegal to sign someone up for a monthly membership when you don't tell them there are monthly fees. I'm sure I clicked some boxes that I didn't have a chance to read because I was literally holding my baby in a carrier while I was doing this all. I am only going back this week to report this person to the manager, but I absolutely will not return to this store after this. read more

The Diablo Plaza CVS is my neighborhood all-around convenience store. I normally come here to pick up prescriptions for the wife, and about 80% of the time the wait in line for me is reasonable. I find the store pretty well-stocked with everyday household goods, greeting cards, gift cards for local and online businesses, and yes groceries and snacks. Sometimes its good to avoid the lines at Safeway. Reason for 4 stars: * Its open 24 hours! Sometimes you need a last-minute item. * A security camera right in front of the cashier, filming all who enter and leave on a big TV. Makes customers feel safer. * A decent rewards program that generates random coupons to save $$$, attached to your receipt. Reason its not 5 stars: * Bathroom always seems out of service. read more

Misleading waste of time. The pharmacist ( and it appeared to be the head pharmacist not a technician ) was lazy and told me I'd have no problem with an emergency refill at the minute clinic of my prescriptions. I made sure to specify type, and clarify all I needed was a renewal. I've only ever received my prescriptions through CVS. You couldn't have taken 5 seconds to check? Thanks I'll be moving my prescriptions to Walgreens moving forward. read more

This store's pharmacy staff are absolutely rude, unprofessional and do not have a clue what customer service is!! All their staff desperately need manner and customer service training. If I can give negative star, I would. These employees are dismissive, have absolutely no listening ability, blamed everything on CVS's poor computer systems and cannot speak properly. The most common response is = I DON'T KNOW, then they would hang up. There are plenty other pharmacies in the area provide much much better overall services. This is another store that shows CVS needs smaller stores that it can maintain and staff better. I went to pick up some photos - and had to wait a few minutes before anyone even acknowledged that I was waiting. On June 3, 2022 I went into the CVS pharmacy to get a congratulations card. An assistant manager accosted me as I entered telling me that I was required to put on a mask because Contra Costa County required as of this morning, which is absolutely false. As I explain to her trying to shop she followed me all over the store trying to give me a mask. As a public retail store CVS management should be acutely aware of health conditions on a daily basis which impact health, they are not. Made appointment online for booster shot, arrived 10 minutes early as email confirmation said to. Got text from CVS requesting to click link when I arrived to check in. I did that. Walked up to window as well, confirmed I checked in online and was told sit, someone would be with me. Waited 30 minutes went back to window as I saw walk ins getting shots, so asked when they were going to get to me. Then they said I was not in system. I showed proof of my appointment email, but they said I needed to make another appointment because they did not have in their system. Stay away - Do not use the pharmacy! If you're in desperate need of medication or an emergency inhaler, like I was, you'll wait over an hour for the only pharmacist to duty to return from lunch. They have no back up Pharmacist as required by Licensing and Governing Agencies! I waited an hour for an inhaler and medication my son desperately needed, which was called in from the Emergency Room at John Muir as a "Priority Rush" CVS didn't have the required alternate Pharmacist on duty at 5:00 pm on a Thursday, to process this request! Don't risk going here, there are far too many reputable pharmacies who can and will service your needs promptly. read more

I loved the selection at this location, the service not so much. They were well stocked in all our brands, but when it came time to check out our cashier wasn't very friendly. I tend to prefer the locations where they train their staff in how to run coupons - but this location sadly was not one of them. We probably wouldn't stop by again, but they did have what we needed. I swung by to pick up a Coke Zero in hopes to save a little money instead of buying a drink at Hula Wok BBQ. So I strolled on in. There was a one person at the register and she was friendly enough to ask if I needed any help. I walked over to the soda section to see that the pricing wasn't superb. I walked back to the fridge area to see what other options I had. In the end there was a Coke Zero 20oz drink deal of 2 for $3 which isn't great but at least I saved $1 total and have an additional drink for future use. Maybe I should've just gone to Safeway, but I was lazy. I probably won't be coming back here again but it was nice to be able to go here for pure convenience. Maybe it's because I've worked in customer service so long, but I am appalled by the lack thereof at this location. As I checked out, the clerk (frazzle-hailed upper middle aged tall gentleman) barely acknowledged me, chatting instead with another employee. When I asked a question regarding my purchase, he seemed exasperated and said as he charged it- "Well just return it if it's not right." Dude. I'm here now making the purchase. Think ya could give a crap and save your customer some time? Also failed to ask for or offer the opportunity to put in my extra care card or #. I felt dismissed and brushed aside. I don't need 4 star service at a drugstore, but I do appreciate basic human courtesy, which apparently this clerk lacks, as does his fellow employee (supervisor?) with whom he was engaged through my purchase. Zero stars this place is awful. They never have medications in stock and when I really needed my meds they told me that another CVS location had it in stock and they would transfer the RX. I waited several hours and never heard anything so I called the other location only to find out that the RX was never transferred and that the other location also did not have it in stock. By this time it was too late to locate it anywhere else and I was left to get through the night in pain with no meds. Terrible way to treat a patient. Terrible customer service and zero concern for customers. Take your business elsewhere! read more

I was raised in San Ramon but I haven't lived there in years. I remember this CVS from wayyy back when! The last time I remember going here several years ago they had a pretty extravagant cosmetics section. When I visited over the weekend it looks like this CVS is now just average, the fancier cosmetics aren't there anymore. I needed some medicine since I had a sore throat. I bought Cepacol. It was my first time using it and I was surprised how strong it was! Damn that numbed my tongue, cheeks and throat within seconds! It felt so weird but it worked! read more

I have done business at this location for 30+ years. Long's was a great store. When CVS took over, the service levels immediately became unreasonable with super long lines, higher pricing and less selection. Cold atmosphere. My main use was the pharmacy which was superior when Longs managed it. The lines are long, incompetent personal. Horrible service, confusion with prescriptions, never answer the phone. Never!! Corporate office, take note. The issues listed is due to under budgeting the store. Not enough hours to maintain store conditions s and service levels. It's Your Fault, The DM's.. not the Mgr's.. your gross margin has increased not by sales, but with higher prices and under staffing. You need to fix it. Quit using the Safeway business model. Less service equals less sales. After all, Greedy Steve Bird ran Safeway into bankruptcy and they sold.. My business has moved to Danville. Go fix your stores. Thank you read more

I went to this store from its call to pick up my medicine but it turned out to be not necessary. I often used pay $0 for my cholesterol pills but I saw $27 plus on the label. The rating is low for a reason , don't go here. Today , After getting out of the emergency room for severe pain , me and my husband stopped by to get my prescription . It was 1:40pm, this rude, large Indian lady told me she can't do it because it's too late and she has someone else waiting for theirs . Huh, lady hours were until 2 Pm, she was rude , horrible and needs to find a job where she doesn't interact with people , let alone handle their medication . I will never go back to this store. I shop CVS often but not this store. They have no public restroom for their patrons, including those with kids. It's disrespectful and demonstrates a total lack of caring for customers. They'll take your money but if you need a restroom they tell you to go to Starbuck's or Safeway. You better take advantage of the BevMo next-door prior to going into this CVS pharmacy! The worst customer service, long lines, and inept personnel. I've actually received the incorrect prescription. They literally had to come to my house after I called to retrieve the medication that they sent me home with. It was for the another person. Hippa people!I had someone else's prescription and what if I would've given it to my son?! I dealt with it for a long time thinking I would give it another chance. I am now very happy to drive out of my way to go to the Danville pharmacy with professional, timely, and qualified personnel. Please re-staff. Misleading, careless and insensitive pharmacy staff and manager. This is the worst pharmacy. I had couple of pretty bad experiences with this pharmacy and I will not return back to this pharmacy even if I had to go few miles farther. Earlier they messed up my vacation refill request, kept telling me to check by next week, next week until I had no time left and then they revealed that the vacation refill request did not get to the insurance in time. This was prescription of 'Insulin' for mother, but the pharmacy staff was indifferent. ( I wish I could do more than just report this bad review... ) Again today I had very bad time with this pharmacy regarding my prescription. The staff is so deceitful that they somehow find it amusing making you go rounds for getting right things from this pharmacy. My wife went to pick up prescription y'day and they charged her large amount for branded medicine which is also available very cheap non-branded, on top of that they filled the order partial and today whole day I had to make rounds of the pharmacy to sort out the matter. I finally got hold of the manager and was so furious when the manager simply dismissed the matter saying "I will speak to her (employee)" -- I mean she did not even have a courtesy to say 'sorry' even if she admitted they made me go around the entire day for no reason. I feel like these people should get some kind of comeuppance, they wont learn otherwise... I wish I could do something to really make this matter to these people so they do not take other customers for granted. I for sure am never returning to this pharmacy again ever. read more

Terrible service, rude employees. Sadly we've used this pharmacy and store for 20+ years and in the past few years it has gotten TERRIBLE for service and rude employees. No one is willing to help, their pharmacy is always under staffed and CRAZY SLOW but mostly the fact that they are SO RUDE is why I don't want to give CVS my business anymore.
