I was in Danville for the day and mostly struck out with the local salons who largely didn't carry my shampoo brand (or have the old formula in stock). Since I was trying Great Clips next door (who does specifically carry it but only had the new bottles) I dropped into this location as well. Luckily they did have a couple bottles in stock (yay!) and I was also able to pick up the items the doctor had recommended that morning for some of my ongoing jaw issues I've been having the last few months. I ended up speaking with the Pharmacy tech who was super helpful and kind and I left with all the things I needed. Although, I am still going to keep searching for every possible shampoo bottle I can get my hands on. So stay tuned. read more

This particular Walgreens has the worst customer service. My doctor called a prescription in for pain meds and 4 hours later still had not heard from them that it had been filled. So, I got on the phone and was left on hold for 45 mins...at 5:55, they sent me a text saying the prescription was ready, allowing me no time to drive down there and at that point was still on hold. They went home for the day leaving me on hold! read more

I live in San Ramon, but I come to this Walgreens because I like printing photos and sending them to this location. The quality is always good, and the turnaround time is always the same day. The staff here are always super friendly, and the store is always clean, so I'm confused as to why they are poorly reviewed. This place deserves an easy five stars. read more

This Walgreens is fraudulent and STEAL customers money. Please be very careful especially if you are an elderly customer going to the pharmacy. EVERY single time they overcharge and I have to get a manager involved to get me the proper credit back. Today the same thing happened, and I asked to speak to a manager. I liked this Walgreens. It is in a good location within Danville near the gym I use to go to for yoga. Plenty of easy parking, shaded spots, and I feel safe coming here. The staff were friendly, the store is pretty well stocked and it was neat and tidy. Didn't look run down like some other Walgreen stores. This location might be my favorite now. read more

I came to the photo center a few days ago. I had placed an photo prints order AND a canvas print photo online for same day pick up. The prints were done within the hour and the 11 x 14 canvas print within a hours, right before school pick up. It was so well made, with a wood backing. I used an online discount code which made the canvas print just $20. I want to order more now. It beats having to go buy a frame for the photo. Although there was a line at the regular checkout, I rang the call button at the photo center and someone came out to help me within a minute or so. She was very friendly and even signed me up for their rewards program. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service from Sruthi. I walked in before closing to pick up photos for Mother's Day gifts. They were ready and she had them in her hands, but refused to ring me up because it was exactly 9:00pm and they were closing. The process would have taken 30 seconds, but she told me to come back the next day at 8:00am. I live 20 minutes away, so round trip will take me 40 minutes on Mother's Day tomorrow. This is for the Pharmacy. They wanted to charge me $368 for my rx, but they thankfully did not have it. I was about to pay it. I went over to CVS across the street and it was $10 (same insurance). Online (on my insurance portal) it shows that Walgreens should have charged only $14. Two stars because this place does have great service. read more

The staff except one woman is good, Ferria she is terrible, she used to work at Safeway, her service is so poor, not capable of doing her job, she is slow and no customer service skills or job knowledge. Noelle's Yelp Notebook 2019 This Walgreens is located in Danville, California. After lunch at Pizza Antica we headed over here to pick up a few items such as snacks and headache medicine. The entire store is clean and well organized as far as the merchandise goes. The customer service is good but they don't have enough employees working the cash register area in the front of the store which seems to be the standard in most Walgreens we frequented in California. Items we purchased: Advil Gel Caps Plastic Cups Napkins Biscoff Cheez it Crackers If we were in the area I would definitely come back here because the store is well stocked. It's very interesting that my photo for this Walgreens and the San Ramon Walgreens have been the featured photos for over a year. I wish I could give this store 4 stars; but, I didn't due to a few very grouchy, rude older employees. I don't understand how they are so miserable and don't even attempt to crack a smile. Thank goodness Donna in cosmetics is here. I remember when she was at the Alcosta location a few years ago. One of the assistant managers George (?) is okay too. It's really too bad because this store definitely has more items and inventory compared to the Windermere Walgreens. When I shop here, my internet/wifi/cell phone reception doesn't work. It's so strange. Additionally, since Covid (can you believe we are going on 2 years), they have a sign that their "restroom is out of order". Hmmm...two years for it to be "out of order" seems excessive. Of course I'm being a little sarcastic because they don't want customers to utilize their facilities. They are simply understaffed and in too small a facility for the apparent volume of pharmacy orders; but that doesn't excuse what I experienced today. I called to refill an Rx. Was put on hold with "2 callers ahead of me" for 27 min , still with 2 callers ahead of me. I hung up and tried again at 1 pm today (12/2) and was put on hold with "1 caller" ahead of me. After 10 minutes, skeptical and slightly jaded, I sarcastically commented to my s.o. that I could likely drive to the pharmacy before getting a person on the phone, ha ha, joke's on me! I got in the Camry and arrived at the pharmacy, went inside to find a line of 7 people (not the 1st time for long lines) who all appeared mighty frustrated. All the while the voice response continued to let me know I had 1 caller ahead of me and how sorry everyone is that I am having to wait but they'll be with me shortly. The nice young man usually at the cash register is somewhat slow and very methodical when dealing with a customer. I've found that as the line of customers increases in size, he becomes increasingly slower and methodical. I turned around and walked out and drove home. Getting out of the car, the voice response informed me that it was time for the staff lunch break Now I can't object-these people are overworked. The voice response informed me that I could hang up and call back when the pharmacy reopens or hold on the line to keep my place until the staff returns from their break. With a half hour invested (over and above the 27 minutes from earlier today) I just bided my time on speaker phone. The warnings of 20 minutes to reopen, now 15 minutes and 10 etc. let me know that the moment of truth was nigh and with nearly 60 minutes on hold, upon reopening, I was informed that the staff was now "helping other customers and they'd be with me shortly." Not 1 caller ahead anymore but a new voice response that they're helping other customers. Nearly an hour now and thoroughly jaded I held on just to spite them. After several more "the staff is helping other customers and we'll be with you shortly" responses, the phone system abruptly hung up. Now, lengthy review or not, I'm not feeling so well and I still need to refill my Rx, but I don't have it in me to go back to what will doubtless be a long slow moving line. I've done that at this pharmacy before. I'm going to move my prescriptions to a not Walgreens pharmacy. And my sincere apologies (to anyone bored enough to actually read this silly but truthful rant) for being too tired to proof this review. read more

One of the worst businesses around. I am not sure who licenses pharmacists and pharmacies, but this is one pharmacy that should be shut down, raised to the ground and its land salted so nothing grows thereafter! Had a prescription and went to pick it up. The lady at the counter tells me they need another 15-20 minutes, they have already had 4 hours to fill it, but hey I accept that pharmacies may be busy so I decide to go back in a couple of hours. I get a VM in another that oh, we are out of this medication, but will have it in a few days! But if you need it please give us a call! A few days? Man, thankfully it isn't a heart medication but I still need it. Of course I need it! Thats why it is a prescription called into a pharmacy! I don't get my doctor to write a prescription just for the bloody joy of it! And why didn't you tell me this when I was there? Come on people, what's wrong with you! So I try to call. Well thats all there is to it, 'trying', because as soon as I call I am routed through the stupid automated system to hold for a 'moment.' The moment stretches to 20 minutes. By now I could've been to the pharmacy and back, but if anything, I am patient. After 20 minutes the call is picked up, I hear voices but I am put on hold again! Well maybe they pushed the wrong button. I wait for another 40 minutes during which this whole thing is repeated 5 times! I mean, hey, just disconnect the phone go back to your normal lives of not giving a shit about customer service! read more

This has to be the worst customer service I have EVER received from a pharmacy. First of all, the pharmacist, Behnaz Aghighi, violated my privacy when she called my dad's WORK cell phone to leave a message for MY prescription when I am well over 18 years old!!! Total violation of privacy Then, when I called the pharmacy to ask why they wouldn't fill my prescription they told me they didn't have a reason, but Behnaz had advised to not fill and I need to go pick up my paper prescription. I informed them too that they called my dad's work and there was no effort to update my personal information. My doctor also called them to figure out why they wouldn't fill the prescription and they told her "they don't have time to deal with this" and proceeded to hang up. Not sure who is in charge, but I have never had this problem at Safeway or CVS. read more

The men who work at this store are horrible! They are extremely rude. Not only to customers, but the employees as well. I was making a transaction that required an override. The guy, Eugene, told the sweet lady cashier to "shut your mouth right now, I'll handle this". Then proceeded with the transaction by practically punching in the information on the computer. I couldn't believe it. I was going to say something but didn't as to not cause anymore issues for the cashier. I had to go the next day and this Eugene was so rude it was ridiculous. Pushing the monitor at the register around like he was being inconvenienced. I spoke with three of the ladies there and they said he was horrible and that he is like this all the time. How he has a job is beyond me! I've made an official complaint, so hopefully we won't ever have to see him again! This pharmacy should have their license revoked...our family has had the wrong drugs and dosages dispensed multiple times. A pharmacy carries great responsibility in dispensing prescription drugs and this place regularly gets it wrong and is a danger to the community. The pharmacy texted me saying that my son's prescription was ready to pick up. The text said "Today's pharmacy hours at 611 SAN RAMON VALLEY BLVD: 8am - 9pm." I arrived in the pharmacy line at about 7:10 pm. After letting me stand in line for 5 minutes, they told me that I could not stay in line and would have to pick up the prescription a different day because I had arrived after SEVEN pm. Seriously?! Don't tell me that you're open until 9 pm and then kick me out for not arriving before 7 pm! What a waste of my time. They said that they have no control over their own text messages. Warning, they intend to repeat this inexcusable behavior for TWO MORE MONTHS! read more

I know the reviews here are bad, but I love my neighborhood Walgreens! The pharmacists are so sweet and while there can be a wait, it never goes without an apology. They will give you all the attention you require and are very patient answering all insurance questions. The Walgreens iPhone app is great for managing all our complicated refill schedules. What a humiliating, frustrating, maddening experience I had at this Walgreens this morning. My three-year-old son and I stopped in to pickup a few things. I have never been in this store before, so I had no idea what it looked like or who worked there. We were in there for about 5 minutes and had four items to buy- supposed to be a quick trip, easy, in-and-out and home. We went up to the register to pay. The cashier (I didn't see his name, but it was a man with black-dyed hair in a ponytail) informed me that my son didn't need to wear a mask. (Side note- the cashier was maskless, my son and I had masks on). This is like day four or five of the "masks not required if your vaccinated" rule. Okay, here's where I should have just nodded and said, "Okay, next time. Thanks." But instead I said, "Well, he's not vaccinated, so we're being careful." The cashier said, "Kids don't need to be vaccinated, it does more harm than good, this vaccine is new, the side-effects are more harmful than the vaccine benefits." Well, that was too much for me. I got mad! I basically told him that the vaccine is not new- it's the same technology as the 2003 SARS vaccine, just designed for this virus. "I understand that ma'am, but Covid is not harmful to children." WTF?! Children are not 100% immune to Covid, children have died and, thank God, not many, but it's heartbreaking for many families. I said, "Clearly you don't understand how it works." I told him the vaccine triggers the response in your immune system to recognize and fight the Covid virus, then the "ingredients" are gone. He told me that he's a scientist, so he does understand, and kids don't need it. WTF!? That's when I started to get emotional. What right does he have to tell me what to do? But he told me he's a dad, his son is 21. And then my son panicked because I was getting upset. And the other Walgreens employee was starting at me like I was some sort of alien, and other people in the store were watching this go down. I couldn't even finish my transaction, my adrenaline was going and I was shaking. I haven't had such a rude encounter with a stranger in a long time. And the fact that my son saw this man talk to me this way was heartbreaking, not to mention he was in tears because I was upset. Who goes into a Walgreens to be spoken too like they're stupid? Or told how to parent their child? PSA to Walgreens - it's been a hard year for everyone. Everyone is navigating this post-vaccine, masks-optional world together. Everyone is doing the best they can, making decisions they believe are the best for them and their families. If you're comfortable wearing your mask, go ahead! We're all used to seeing strangers this way. If you can't wait to burn your masks under a fill moon, go ahead! Most people hate wearing them! They're awful! I am vaccinated and have been for a few months. My son is not. My son is small, he's a child, he isn't vaccinated. General rule is if you're not vaccinated you should wear a mask. So, why does Walgreens think they need to educate the public? Especially mothers, who have sacrificed so much this past year and a half! At least, this was an opportunity to teach my son about resilience, and not letting a stranger ruin your day (Father's Day, no less!). After we took some deep breaths, and I reassured him that "Mommy's okay," we had a talk in the car that sometimes people are mean and bullies, and you have to learn how to deal with them. I don't know why there are so many one stars for this Walgreens's. I am a 55 year old woman. I have been going to this Walgreens for over 15 years. I get all my meds there. Every one at that store have been helpful. Never had any problems at all. Actually once I needed to print my disabled sister's passport picture but I didn't have the right picture size in my phone. The manager Chris spent half an hour with me to correct the problem. And until I wasn't %100 satisfied he didn't give up. I think Chris is a new manager. Give Walgreens another chance they are trying to satisfy their costumers as best as they can. read more

Horrible customer service. I had a mistake with my pictures (a mistake on my end) so I called to get help with it but the photo department was busy which is TOTALLY FINE. I was transferred to the next available department where I asked my question about my photos. I was abruptly cut off mid sentence and rudely told the photo department is too busy and hung up on... I still can't believe the blatant disrespect some of these employees have. Not ALL but some.. had the guy told me he couldn't help because that's not his department then it would have been ok. I understand it wasn't his department but all I tried to ask was if it was possible to transfer the photos to a store closer to my house.. I'll never come here again. I've only had one good interaction here with a photo employee about a year ago but other than that it's nothing but attitude and dirty looks. Never again. Terrible. Would rate a ZERO if I could. The pharmacy was randomly closed for a day because of staffing issues, which I didn't find out about until arriving and see a paper posted saying 'temporarily closed'. The prescription called in by our pediatrician, was still somehow 'filled' even though no one was there to fill it. Insurance was billed, so had to pay full price at another pharmacy because this is something that cannot wait, kid is in pain and can't wait 5 days for relief. Complete waste of time and money. Today the cashier was yelling at another employee and causing a scene, and the other employee started yelling into his radio back at her. Then the cashier grabbed my card from me telling I insert it to soon glaring at me (in the middle of her yelling). I went there only once, and not again. I wanted to see if they have Covid test kit. The check-out cashier had only one left. She showed it to me. I asked how soon do we get the results. She said she doesn't know (which is a fair point). So I started reading the instructions on the package. I am a fairly educated person, so it would have taken about 30 seconds to read the package. However, in barely 10 seconds, the cashier lady reminded me twice, that there are people behind me (and hence I cannot keep reading instructions). In reality, there was only one person behind me. Reminding me twice in 10 seconds seems to be very unreasonable. I got so irritated that, I did not buy that test kit, even if I really wanted one. Staff shortage? Holiday season? Pandemic? Troubled soul? Maybe/Maybe not. But this is definitely not the way to treat a customer. In such situation, the cashier should call someone in the staff who could be more knowledgeable, and get the question resolved. The cashier didn't offer this, and simply nagged me. I do not wish to disclose the identity of the cashier, although I know her name. But certainly, someone needs some training here. read more
