I had an excellent experience at this CVS. The store was clean, organized, and easy to navigate, and there was plenty of convenient parking right in front. What really stood out was the outstanding customer service from the Pharmacy Manager, Tina An. She was incredibly friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. She took the time to answer my questions without making me feel rushed, which is rare these days. It was honestly the best customer service I've received at a pharmacy in a long time. Regardless of where I travel or how well I pack, there's usually a drug store visit involved. This time around it was for shampoo and soap, 2 items of which our VRBO was in short supply. I added some mouthwash and was good to go. It was all fairly easy to find and with a pretty standard check-out process that gratefully wasn't at the pharmacy. read more

This is the absolute pharmacy you could ever visit. First off, the phone tree is incredibly bad. It doesn't recognize speech and keeps looping back. When you finally reach someone, if the phone tree takes you to the wrong part of the store the young woman on the line actually will hung up on me because she wasn't able to transfer me. Christina, the pharmacy manager will never call you back. I was told 3 different times she'd call me back about a defective product they had sold me, but she never did. Besides that, your minimum wait to pick up a prescription is over 30 minutes long. Do yourself a favor and go to another pharmacy. You'll be glad you did. read more

This review is about CVS at the DeVargas Mall. I have been a customer for 7 years, and often go in with my service dog. Today I was greeted bya surly, insolent woman who said dogs weren't allowed. I told her my dog was a service dog but I didn't have his card with me (never needed it before). She told me to leave, I ignored her and tried to take care of my business at the register, when she came up and threatened to call Security. I said, "Go ahead". What is my point? There are much better, more polite and effective ways to deal with customers. She should be fired, or at least trained in customer relations. I hate frickin this pharmacy. The location of it makes getting in and out of it onto the main road a real issue. The employees are horrible and the entire store looks like it hasn't had a thorough cleaning in about forever. They were out of several things I was looking for, and it seems like whoever is ordering their stock is falling behind on his job. I was just in this store, and a psychotic manager named Denna Riggs had a security guard throw me out. She stated that I had been stealing from the sprouts next door. I went to the manager of Sprouts and asked if they had accused me of stealing, and he said no. He went to the CVS with me, and he told Denna that he had never seen me before. She still threw me out. I left several reviews and also read some. Denna's name has repeatedly been mentioned for discrimination against the disabled and the homeless. I was carrying a backpack, and she may have mistaken me for homeless. read more

I bought a package of $20.00!! Bounty paper towels this morning. Got them home, opened them, they were ripped, dirty and stained! Took them back to CVS (DeVargas mall) and the manager DEENA RIGGS refused to accept them back. She said there was no way the paper towels left the store in that condition. A member of my family forgot their meds and We needed an EMERGENCY 3 day refill. We were at this CVS when they opened the doors in the morning of 2/7/25. The pharmacist seemed unconcerned and said she would call our out of state pharmacy when she had time. We are leaving today, 3 days later. Still no script or phone call. I have survived 3 cancers and multiple surgeries, I am under the care of an oncologist, a thoracic surgeon and an internal medicine doctor. When given an RX for pain, the female pharmacist at CVS on Paseo de Peralta, refused to fill my prescription. Even though the proper dose had been followed. She overruled my doctors and withheld my RX. I will never step into a CVS store again. This pharmacist was vindictive, inconsiderate and ignorant of my situation. DON'T use CVS!!!!!! read more

Having worked next door at sprouts, I'm unfortunately knowledgeable about the type of harassment is dished out to the employees of this city. Yes, I'm calling you out (you know who you are) and I'm incredibly impressed with this location. The pharmacy is hit or miss purely based on random chance of when it's busy or not, though they are always friendly and almost always have what I need when I need. I am writing this whole review to commend Melissa on her awesome attitude with everyone. Every employee has been helpful and friendly but she is always up beat and trying to help everyone. Remember everyone, Covid is scary for all of us and just because you are forced to shop at an essential business, you have no right to take it out on these employees. As the sign in the pharmacy says, if your wait is that intolerable, pick up an application and help. Trust me when I say the last thing any of them want is to be understaffed, making our work harder and your wait longer. We hired every applicant at sprouts and still couldn't fully staff. So to the guy who got enraged at me for being part of a conspiracy to make people use self checkout by not having all registers filled at 8am Sunday during a pandemic, maybe this will give you some better facts for your argument you were so mean to a total stranger trying to help. Without question the WORST service of any pharmacy I've ever used. I've ordered a refill of a prescription, and the order has been canceled three times with no notice whatsoever. I had to negotiate their website (a nightmare) to find the status of the order, and then navigate their phone system (an even worse nightmare) to re-instate the order. They have a convenient location - that's about the only good thing I can say for this pharmacy. read more

horribly understaffed and poorly staffed. i waited at the cash register for five minutes, with nary an employee in sight. when a cashier finally moseyed up towards the counter, instead of attending to the line that had formed behind me behind the register, she went to the self-checkout register to offer support to the woman who was using that. minutes later, she - FINALLY - got behind the register, only to tell me that she couldn't help me. i phoned the manager later that afternoon, and waited for more than 20 minutes before the call was disconnected. when i called back, he told me that i was wrong, that the cashier had been on the floor helping people the whole time, and then asked why i had wanted to speak to him in the first place. look, we know where this is going. they are denying us customer service, denying us timely check-out support as part of their transhumanist. digital agenda, while hiring unqualified "managers" to defend their subpar service. it's fine. i'll take my business elsewhere. this plan only works if we continue to give them our business. read more

I submitted the orders for my meds on a Friday. The next Sunday after a whole week to fill the prescription I went to get them. I was told they were not ready and that I should come back in an hour. I returned three hours later and was told they were not ready. If this kind of thing had never happened before, I would not be writing this. Unfortunately it has happened more than once. I filled prescriptions at this pharmacy. There was a full staff behind the counter. The pharmacist, and three techs. No one made eye contact with me other than the nasty tech that rang me up. There was no customer service extended and even less demeanor that would invite me back for another visit even though the store is convenient to my home I will drive farther to get some humane treatment when paying a lot of money to the store. Knowing that COVID helped pharmacies, I wonder if this one experienced any growth during the difficult time because the other reviews on this site share similar experiences as mine. If you need a pharmacy, there are many in Santa Fe, three CVS avoid this one and the blonde, nasty woman serving up intimidation rather than customer service in the pharmacy. read more

Having read some of these reviews I wonder whether I went to the same store. It is large, well stocked, the staff exceptionally friendly, helpful and reasonably close to the downtown. We needed an urgent prescription. It was filled promptly and with exceptional courtesy. I wish all my CVS pharmacies had staff as accommodating and helpful as this one especially the pharmacist and her colleague who helped reduce the difficulty of getting medications when out of town. I use this pharmacy on occasion when I need a prescription filled because it's close to where I live. I am appalled and absolutely shocked at the horrible customer service I received at the pharmacy today. The physician at the urgent care gave me a hand written prescription and thus made a paper prescription drop off necessary. The drop off window was closed. So I got in line at the pick up window. There was an elderly gentleman in front of me at the pick up window. The cashier told him the cost and the gentleman joked that it was less than expected and next time he wanted him to be his cashier. As the gentleman walked away, the cashier (name tag indicated Alex) rolled his eyes. Sheesh - bad mood. I walked up next and told him I needed to drop off a prescription because the drop off window was closed. With complete attitude, he told me that I needed to go to the window next to the drop off counter. Geez- put up a sign. Customers aren't mind readers. As if this wasn't enough attitude, the pharmacist at the window offered to help me. He was clearly annoyed at the physician's handwriting (as if it was my fault) and said he needed to call to get the quantity. He called the physician and got the information he needed and said it would be a few minutes. I can understand being frustrated but, I had no control over this. Finally, I picked up the prescription and the dollar amount seemed way too high. I hesitated and paid. After carefully reviewing my prescription receipt, I noticed the wrong insurance was charged! No wonder the cost was so high. This meant I had to go back and deal with the rude staff once again. I went back and a woman was able to help straighten out the insurance mistake but, this meant I needed a refund and to wait for the prescription to be run again. What a nightmare! Accidents happen but, if you must go here ---be sure you verify what insurance is being billed and bring patience and thick skin. The staff here is completely rude and lacks customer service skills. I went in the store on Christmas Day for water. There's other stores I could have gone to to get water but for some reason I chose CVS on Paseo which I frequently shop at. I know someone that works in the store and I'm actually in there twice a week Sadly the manager has no idea what customer service is and the cashiers mumbling behind the counter don't realize that customers can hear what they're saying. To have a store manager bully someone is incredibly sad and I'll be calling a regional to deal with this on Monday. I'm glad I don't really have any need for this store To walk outside and have a customer come up to me and say they witnessed everything and give me their phone number so they can speak to the regional as well was awesome. I needed to get a passport picture with their photo services. I actually went to the CVS on Cerillos, but their equipment was not functioning. Uy! (Those guys get 1 star for photo work.) But the one Paseo De Peralta did have functioning equipment. Chris was there to assist, he was friendly and he knew what he was doing. The only thing that I didn't like was that the pricing was high in my opinion. I did have a coupon, it only took $2 off a $15 order. The store was average-looking, nothing special. Quite possibly THE most INEPT and INCOMPETENT pharmacy on the planet! OMG! IF you make it through the hold time on the phone, some moron answers and then puts you back on hold.. until you hang up. When you call back 3 more times, another moron explains that they're really busy. They always say they're really busy. After they told me that the last time I ran over there (they are 3 minutes away from me) and there was NOBODY THERE WAITING!! And IF you don't die before they fill your prescription, they usually screw up the script OR you insurance info. I had a prescription called in by my doctor last Wednesday, February 27th. They just texted TODAY Sunday, March 3rd that my prescription is ready! I updated my insurance information last Wednesday as well... and they didnt save it in the system. The worst, laziest, bad attitude, ignorant pharmacists I have EVER encountered. I had a scriot filled and they doubled the number of pills by accident. I asked them to just give me half. It was 15 minutes to close and pharmacist REFUSED TO take out half of the pills! read more

Don't even bother filling a prescription here. Was first told an hour, then after an hour was told that they had no idea when it would be ready. finally they said they would page in 30 minutes. After 45 minutes...still no prescription, and no end in sight. They staff seems very indifferent to the long lines of waiting customers. This pharmacy is a disgrace to the community and the help including the head pharmacist are beyond discourteous. They could care less about helping the customers and seem to make every interaction with the customer a test of wills and an opportunity to see just how rude they can be and get away with it. Add to that lack of caring about giving out correct information. In my case telling me to return in an Hour when the RX would be ready only to return in an hour and find out they did not even have the medicine on hand (which should have been checked before I was sent away). Icing on the cake she ( the manager) sent the RX to the CVS on the far side of the city to where I live(Nambe) and refused to instead send it to a More convenient location. I have had many unsatisfactory experiences at CVS stores. This was the worst and the sad thing is no one is accountable because even at higher levels no on gives a darn. read more

Since I am new to Santa Fe, I had only read about the historic tragedy called "The Trail of Tears", but I had no idea there was a modern version in the DeVargas Mall CVS. I've had to wait in a line of more than 10 people for the past several days only to be told my medicine was not ready...despite being phoned and told it was ready for pick up. The other customers have told me horror stories of incompetance. (being called that their medications were ready, only to be told they are not, etc) There are normally several tired looking older women waiting who are either in tears or on the verge of tears or collapse. The culture here doesn't permit folks to complain, but as an RN myself, someone has to do it. These people are often older and sick and deserve better treatment. I've never seen anything like it in my life. Yesterday, I phoned the pharmacy FROM THE LINE while I was at the store, and demanded another cashier be added. It happened....at least for a time, and the line sped up! The people around me cheered. The pharmacy has no real management. The general store, though is quite clean and well run. If any lines get long at the general checkout, someone is called right away, The employees strive hard to find items and be helpful. The pharmacy is consistently poorly run and quite oblivious to human suffering. No matter how long the line or how fragile the condition of the people waiting, the staff refuses to look up and modify what they are doing. The pharmacist told me there is NO bathroom in the store for these people. He said they are required to go across to the movie theatre to relieve themselves! read more

Although this is a nice, well-stocked store with friendly staff, there are never enough checkers, esp in the pharmacy. This my 2nd review complaining about this. There's no excuse for making people wait in long, slow lines for prescriptions that are ready. Why is there always only one register open? (23 min today, almost as long previously; it's habitual.) Even though this store is closest to our home, we are seriously considering moving all my scripts to another chain. If CVS values their customers, they should also value their time and have enough staff to wait on them quickly! In addition, it took 4 days to get one of my prescriptions in stock! That's unacceptable and will constantly cause an interruption in taking this medicine. read more
