(2) They get distracted by the drive-in pharmacy window because they're understaffed and as is the case with every place everywhere with a drive-thru, the drive-thru customers somehow get priority over the ones who have managed to walk in. (3) Nevertheless the staff do their best and I'm pleased, if a bit delayed, by the pharmacy service. I get a chance to count the stains on the carpet in the waiting area, which is always a good time. (4) I am accosted by somebody leaving (or going in; or both) in the parking lot. You can definitely call this a mixed experience. I think my takeaway here is to use the drive-thru service to avoid (2) and (4). You might consider doing the same.

I've used it before and while the system has a very clunky interface, it generally yielded pretty good pictures for gifts or personal use. Last night (11/4/25) I went there with the express purpose of getting 2 8x10 pictures printed. I utilized the instant kiosk and was informed (by the system) that it wasn't working so, I used the one hour service. I selected the images, uploaded them to the system, and placed the order. I waited around for over an hour and got no notice (text as was what I would have expected) that the order was completed. I returned to the register and was informed that the system wasn't working. Here's a bizarre idea, PUT UP A FREAKING SIGN!!!!. It would have cost Walmart a single sheet of paper, 1/4 inch of scotch tape and crayon to produce a sign that simply said the system was not operational. I left upset that I blew that much time for no reason. The following day I attempted to call to ask them if it would be possible to put a sign so that others were not subjected to the frustration that I had experienced. I tried three times to call and ask for a manager. The operator never picked up the phone. I guess the notion of "customer service" is a myth with this store. I drove back that morning (20 minutes) to lodge the complaint in person. No manager was available so i spoke with someone at the "customer service" counter. With no satisfaction. I simply asked " would I be able to pick up my medication at 9:00 before I went in to work? I will not be able to get there after work today. (My script had been dropped off several days prior). The person on the phone said "well if you get here at 9 and it's not ready then I guess you'll have to wait. You're not the only one who needs their prescription filled." I'm not? Thank you for that enlightening information. Here I thought I was the only one in Schenectady county who needed to get a prescription filled. Her comment was unprovoked and uncalled for. And even if I had been rude to her, she has no right to make any comment. It's their job to fill prescriptions, not to give unnecessary feedback. There a are a few pleasant folks present in that store but from what I've witnessed, they're few and far between. I think these folks would better serve the public by working night shift in a hospital pharmacy where there is limited interaction with human beings.

This spot is a few minute walk from our home, so we visit often when needing one random item or another, and for stocking up on household supplies with sales and coupon stacking (IYKYK.) The staff at this store are always super helpful and friendly, especially two of the cashiers who we have most certainly deemed our "favorite CVS pal" and "other favorite CVS pal" when mentioning them to one another at home. Had three prescriptions to fill when I came into the pharmacy today on Altamont Avenue. I was so…read morefrustrated during my visit I nearly cried. I have the same issue EVERY time I go into this specific pharmacy. I go in, give them my information, and then I'm told there is an issue with my insurance. Now, if my insurance was really inactive or I hadn't updated the information that would make sense and I wouldn't blame them. However, they say they're going to call and every time give me trouble. They've seen me too often now for this to be happening! I was there for an HOUR today sick as can be, exposing the public to strep while they ARGUED with me about my insurance. When I called, they confirmed that yes it has actually been active and they are the ones failing to update their system. Fix this!!! Take initiative and take the extra time so you don't ruin someone's morning when they're already ill! I will not be going back to this pharmacy and will NOT recommend this pharmacy to anyone. The staff were not taking responsibility and that was the most frustrating part. When you know you're right and yet they're blaming it on you. I don't make reviews unless I feel very positively or negatively about my experience. My other two reviews I've made so far have been positive. I don't like making negative reviews but there needs to some sort of reform over there. Do better!
