This review isn't for the pharmacy, they're good. This is for the store itself, me and +6 other people just stood around going WTF, unable to checkout cause there were no employees. The self checkout machines were messed up (one was stuck on a coupon, the other stuck on age verification) . When they did finally show back up from being outside, the first person (bald guy) just walks past us and goes "I'll be with you in a min" (doesn't even look at us). Thankfully an older woman ran straight to us and fixed the machine asap. Highly suggest going to a different CVS for anything that isn't a prescription pick up. read more

I've been shopping at CVS for 40 years and I have never been treated so poorly. This was in the Pinnacle Peak store at Pinnacle Peak and Pima. I never returned things we had bought these canned drinks that were discontinued that gave us food poisoning. I was just going to throw them away and it wasn't at all the money but I thought they should know that something is wrong with these drinks because it was like drinking acid. We got so sick. There was an employee named David and it's an operations manager of all titles and I said I had a return and he rolled his eyes at me stormed over to the register, it was rude as hell I took the cans out of the bag because we had drank like three of them because there were three different flavors we thought well maybe just one four pack was bad and he asked if I had the receipt and I said I did not but I had my credit card. I put it on and my CVS number he threw a fit said well then he couldn't return him. He was rolling his eyes, throwing things around I said hold on a minute. I have all my receipts on my phone from CVS found the receipt. In the meantime he has stormed over to the shelf that they were on and just started yelling and ranting and raving about how he couldn't return them because two cans were not there and it was so bizarre and thank God it was all on camera and my daughter had been on speakerphone with me during this whole episode. I was livid and I put the cans on the counter at the register and I told him what he could do with those cans, and I started to walk out of the store and he was on the other side of the counter, not behind the register and he started throwing cans. I'd say a good 10 feet from where he was standing over the counter into the garbage, but he was throwing him so hard that one hit the rim of the garbage and popped over the shelf while I was walking out the door and it hit me and I picked it up off the ground and I said this is unbelievable that you're throwing cans and throwing a two year-old tantrum because somebody tried to read something that made them sick and this guy had an attitude and supposedly his name is David but he said he wasn't the store manager he said David Gibson was the store manager, so my daughter and I were flabbergasted listening to this guy and the way he was acting was unfathomable talk about unprofessional. You don't throw cans of sodas across the store as an employee or anyone. I just walked out of the store and I'll be calling CVS corporate office first thing in the morning because this person should absolutely not be working at CVS or in any type of customer service profession and I could tell the minute I stepped in the store and I had a return and he rolled his eyes. He seemed like he definitely has serious anger issues along with mental issues so now after 40 years, you will never see me step foot in a CVS after all the hundreds of thousands of dollars I have spent in that store. It was just unbelievable. I hate it when you can't leave zero stars, but you have to leave one star to get your review in. Operations manager was his title! He was violent, angry and rude. I'm used to. I'm sorry that happened. Let me help you and certainly not somebody throwing cans at me as I'm walking out of the store. Terrible customer service. I absolutely dread having to come into the pharmacy and speak to anyone in person. What's crazy is that they've had terrible customer service for years and haven't always had the same employees. I had an issue with a prescription so the rude attendant asked the pharmacist "Jeff" to help, who was too arrogant to even listen as I was talking to him and NEVER once looked at me or acknowledged my presence either before during or after our interaction. Then he had his head in his phone and in his computer with zero situational awareness never looking around him as if so cowardly he couldn't acknowledge me. read more

Spent over 20 minutes on hold trying to call in a prescription for a patient and still no one answered the call. It was shortly after the pharmacy opened in the morning. Finally had to leave the prescription on the pharmacy voicemail. The patient was told that the prescription wouldn't be ready until the following day. It was only a simple antibiotic prescription. The patient needed the prescription that day due to an infection so I had to use a different pharmacy. What good is a pharmacy if you can't get the medication you need when you need it?? read more

The entire staff is extremely rude especially the new hire. an older woman I did not get the name but she strugged ringing up an individual stick of deodorant and then gave me attitude when I asked what the hold up was. The training method in hospitality training and they way they speak to their customers at this store is desperate need of some improvement. CVS tries very hard to be a competitor of Walgreen's and for the most part they succeed.. Greater Phoenix is one of those markets where CVS and Walgreen's compete head to head. My impression is that they are a retailer that offers goods and products at a slightly lower price to Walgreen's. The reason I'm hesitating is that the staff seems overworked sometimes. I fell bad for anyone who has to deal with any issue when it comes to their management team. I spoke to the manager in charge named Alyssa and she was extremely rude to me and my family. Then I came in the next day to speak to the store manager and he said there was nothing he could do for me. I recommend just going right across the street to the Walgreens for literally anything. I wanted to get a Covid vaccine before a trip to Europe. On the CVS website it said you could go to any location for the Novavax vaccine without an appointment. I stopped in at 1:30 and the Pharmacy was closed. I looked online and it said it reopened at 2pm so I went back. I stood in front of the window for vaccines and some guy asked if I needed something and seemed put out. I said yes I'm here for a vaccine. Said someone would be with me as soon as they're free. The woman at the register kept eyeing me weirdly. When a pharmacist came out she asked if I have an appointment, I explained that I wanted Novavax. She said I can't do that because if I open a vial it needs to be used multiple times or it gets wasted. I said but the website says no appointment needed. She said there's an asterisk with that statement, which there wasn't. She took my info and said she'll call when there are enough people on the list. I've never had that kind of experience at a pharmacy before. It was very strange and I definitely won't be back. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would, but that's not an option. I signed up online for a COVID booster and flu shot. I had received at least a half dozen emails/texts about my appointment which was 12:00 pm, Saturday November 13. Upon arriving at the pharmacy, I was sixth in line and immediately said uh oh. Folks in front of me were there to pick up prescriptions and only one of them was ready. When it was my turn, I was told because of staffing issues, this store was not giving vaccines. I understand the great resignation, but ...... why couldn't the store notify me and cancel my appointment? I planned my day around the 12:00 pm appointment and needless to say, I could have been doing other things. Maybe the folks in Woonsocket, RI would like to know this store will not receive my business in the future, especially because there are other options in the area. A simple notification would have been expected, but I guess CVS doesn't have that technology??? Think I want them to fill a future prescription?? read more

Endless waits in the drive through line, endless waits on hold if you call, they leave before close so no one is there when you come to pick up your Rx, and they put your meds back on the shelf before they're supposed to! The worst CVS I have ever been to. I needed an answer to a simple question about transferring a prescription from another pharmacy (different retailer). I arrived at exactly 8 PM which is still opened hours. A young lady told me "sorry we are closed it is 8". I told her it is a simple question. Thankfully the pharmacist agreed to answer my question and told me it would take minimum 48 hours... I went to another cvs and got it the next day in 4 hours. For some time now we have been debating the pros and cons of retail chains taking over markets that used to be the domain of mom and pop operations. While these chains bring economic advantage, most of the time, because of their scale, they often are unable to provide the customer service and satisfaction that family owned retailers were so known for. Earlier this afternoon I experienced this very phenomenon at this CVS pharmacy. I was at the counter at 5:03 on. The shutters were not down. So I obediently stood for somebody to come take care of me. In about 3 minutes this person comes to the counter and says "they have taken our drawers so we cannot help you". ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? You keep texting me that my order is ready but a 3 minute infraction is enough to send me back. What's wrong with this model? I will tell you: the customer is missing from the equation. It's all about earning per share and operating income. Screw the customer who pays our bills. This is ridiculous. read more

RE Photo dept: I had 35mm film to develop.The Photo dept is a tiny area to the left of the cash registers with envelopes and no drop box. Seems thrown together. Also, some of the envelopes had the address /location of a cvs from another state! I tossed them so no ones film was sent to the wrong location. I gave my film to an employee and asked how long it would take. She seemed grumpy and said someone would call me but takes 7-10 days. OK....I went back a week later to drop off another roll and asked if they had my first order just in case it came in early. They didn't have it and again said it had not been 10 days,takes 7-10 days. OK. I handed them my film because there was still no drop box. I called today to see if first order was in and spoke with a manager ( i think). She was nice and said they shouldn't have said it takes 7-10 days...it takes 2-3 weeks. WOW...that's different and would have, had I known, prompted me to go elsewhere. Went there because it's really close to my home. Too bad, normally I like the convenience of CVS read more
