Rude staffs, especially those one in the cashier. They don't like to entertain questions. Bad costumer service.

I understand that pharmacies must follow policies and procedures. However, I left this experience wishing there had been more communication, empathy, and guidance regarding the options available to me during a recent change in insurance coverage. A few extra minutes spent explaining a situation and helping a patient understand their next steps can make a meaningful difference. Even when limitations exist, clear communication and compassion help build trust and reinforce the patient-provider relationship. I share this feedback not as criticism of any individual, but as a reminder that professionalism, empathy, and patient-centered care matter. Small interactions can have a lasting impact.

After I carefully gave all the required details, she repeatedly asked me to repeat the same information and requested additional details that were not necessary for processing the prescription. As someone who has worked as a Medical Administrator for years and regularly communicates with pharmacies, I found this interaction highly unprofessional and inefficient. Clear communication and confirmation are essential when handling prescriptions, and unfortunately, this experience did not meet that standard. I hope SAFEWAY Pharmacy addresses these customer service concerns and provides additional training to ensure staff communicate more effectively with healthcare providers.

The biggest complaint I have against CVS is the lack of communication with the pharmacist. You can never talk to a pharmacist unless you leave a message. It may take up to 24 hours before you hear back. There have been times when it was vital to talk to them immediately. I truly hope you have a better experience. Hopefully you will not run into the same problem.

CVS won't tell you this in advance. Also, contrary to what CVS employees say, they are unable to transfer your prescription to another pharmacy because their system doesn't work. Solution: Move prescriptions to QFC Pharmacy one block away 4550 42nd Avenue SW 206-923-6391 (press 0 to bypass phone tree silliness) Fax: 206-923-6394 To move your prescription you will have to change the pharmacy in your MyChart or whatever you use. If you need a prescription filled right away, notify your doctor and tell them to send it to QFC (or your new pharmacy of choice). And finally...A lot of people are dealing with this issue. QFC is getting a lot of new business. CVS said to check back in a couple months to see if they are taking Navitus. But it is so inconvenient to change again, I will never use CVS to fill a prescription again. I imagine CVS will lose some serious income. Good luck. Stay healthy.

Amazing family-owned pharmacy!…read more I'm on a number of controlled substances because of my illnesses and it's always been a headache to facilitate refills with the Walgreens down the block from me, especially when prior authorization is needed. There are always delays with my medication (which I need to take daily) so I have the stress each month of wondering if my medication refills will come in on time. It almost always takes me at LEAST an hour of wait time on the phone before I'm able to speak with a pharmacist at Walgreens (with an annoying automated message playing every 10 seconds). After a particular frustrating time in trying to refill one of my medications that I need to stay awake for my narcolepsy before a two-week trip, I decided to transfer my prescription over to Nguyen Pharmacy. Since I'm a new customer, they gave me a phone call to let me know my prescription is ready. It's a 5-minute drive away for me but Google Maps initially recommended I take Rainier Ave...I knew better and took the MLK Jr. Way route. I got there a little before their 9am open time so I took my dog on a walk around the nearby blocks. There was ample two-hour street parking in addition to the Nguyen Pharmacy parking lot. There were also a couple of dog poop disposal cans on our walk, which was handy. I was in and out in a couple of minutes. No waiting 30+ minutes in line (whether in the drive through or standing inside) like when I get to Walgreen's first thing in the morning. I was surprised to find out that my medication was free! The price estimator from my insurance showed it as equal cost to what I was paying through Walgreens. The service was friendly and they made sure that I felt comfortable knowing how to take my medication (though I've been taking it for years now). I also like that the prescription label on the bottle is laminated and it has some handy yellow labels with major instructions/warnings in case you don't take the time to read through the long list of directions/instructions that comes with your medication (and of course, the pharmacist can answer any questions you may have). They don't have an app yet but they do have a handy online form for refills (just enter your basic info and prescription number). On the form, you can request to get a notification through either phone call, text, or no notification when your prescription is ready. You can also enter up to 10 prescription numbers on the form. They're only open from 9am - 5pm on weekdays and closed on weekends so it might not be the best choice for those that aren't able to pick up prescriptions during standard business hours. This is very understandable though. Since it's a small, family-owned operation, I would hope that their staff are able to spend week nights and weekends with their families. I can't attest to how the parking and lines are during peak hours since I always pick up medications at the start of my day but highly recommend them based off my experience!

From the first time I went to pick up my prescription AFTER receiving a text notification stating it was ready, I was forced to wait close to 30 minutes because it was in fact not ready for pick up, to this month needing to confirm that my prescription was able to be filled because the pharmacist told me I may need a prior auth - However there is ZERO number you can call as a patient and actually get through to speak to a person. You are forced to share all of your private information with an AI chat bot and then once you've made it through all the AI hoops you have to jump through, the ONLY option for patients is to leave a voicemail to which you will NEVER get called back. As someone who works in healthcare with cancer patients who need a reliable pharmacy with decent human beings working at it I would NEVER recommend to one of my patients that they put their life in the hands of these lazy, rude, couldn't care less about patient people at CVS Pharmacy inside of Target on 2nd Ave in Seattle. PS... Lets not forget that simply based on the location any person who walks into the store et large is treated like a drug addled homeless person.
