I went to visit this bar when I was in town to visit For Emerald City Comic Con…read more This bar was incredibly cool! It was part of Seattle's underground when a city was built on top of a city. It's below the billiards hall down a long stairwell. The ambiance is very cozy with decor from an age not long forgotten. I went on a Thursday night, and there was no DJ, but they did have music playing. It was also the first Thursday where the area turns into an arts walk. That was really fun to slip away from the art galleries and have a drink. They had several cocktails and I had a new one on the menu that was black tea infused bourbon and peach. I am not a bourbon drinker at all and that was one of the best cocktails I've had in a long while. It did take a while to get the drinks as there was a full house that night. But it was worth the wait. I do recommend the Pharmacy for anyone that is visiting Seattle or if they are a local.

Was ignored after politely saying "excuse me" to close out my tab. Waited approximately 30 minutes in a line of 5 people just to close out while the bartender very slowly made a few cocktails and didn't bother to check in with us. The bartender clearly hates his job and is beyond unprofessional - yelled at people in line who were patiently waiting. Please don't waste your time here, my cocktail wasn't even great and tasted like a stale cigarette.

Looking for postcards in Seattle, Washington…read more.. I searched Target/CVS pharmacy nearby - in downtown - but couldn't find any. Since Walgreens was within sight, I decided to check it out. There were none in the greeting cards aisle and none near the souvenir t-shirts. I asked the Security Guard and he suggested Aisle 4... Nope. That's the beverage aisle. I thought that I should check Aisle 1 since I looked in every other aisle... Of course the post cards were there! The last place was the winner! I grabbed a bunch and waited in line to pay. The customers ahead of me didn't have their wallets out and one woman had questions about a gift card. I give these store clerks credit... challenging customers test your patience... LOL! I just wanted to hurry outta there because I wasn't sure if I was in a free parking space on the street or not!

I stopped by this Walgreens in downtown Seattle while on a business trip, and it was no bueno. The shelves were bare; I was surprised to see so little stuff. I found water, but they didn't have the energy drink I wanted, so I had to get something else. That wasn't the only problem. There were two security guards who kept watching me as I walked around (even though I was wearing business clothes and clearly wasn't stealing anything). I get that security is important in the downtown areas of cities, but being followed while just trying to figure out what to get with the horrible selection felt weird and a little insulting. I had a backpack, but I didn't think I needed that much attention. On top of that, there were two guys doing drugs right in front of the store windows. I know the store can't control what happens outside, but it made the whole place feel really uncomfortable, especially at 9:00 in the morning. I know a lot of cities in the Pacific Northwest have problems with drugs, and some stores are still having trouble after the pandemic. But not even having basic things in stock, plus the security following me, and the drug use right outside made it a bad experience. This place gets one star, not just because of what was happening outside, but because they didn't even have the stuff I needed. It's a sad situation, and I hope it gets better.

I have finally found my forever pharmacy!…read more I had been a customer of Bartell's for many, many years, and was bummed when Rite Aid bought them and more-or-less put them out of business. It took a long while to find a replacement pharmacy, especially one that would honor my insurance. (The latter bit ended up being surprisingly difficult!). Anyway, no problems transferring my prescription to their shop. Their staff walked me through the process and were very helpful. They honored my insurance, so my regular prescription cost me nothing (as it had at Bartell's). Staff was helpful on the phone and in person. I think a lot of people are transferring prescriptions to Katterman's since the pharmacy staff seemed slammed when I went in. But no problems, they took the time to help me. Only confusing bit: you pick up the prescription at a counter at the back of the store, where the pharmacists work. You then take it up to the front counter to "pay" for it, even if you have no co-pay. I think I understand the process now, but the two-step process seemed a little odd (since, again, I owed nothing). But everyone was helpful, so no worries! My new pharmacy! What a relief to have one, and for it to be a nice little local shop.

I love Katterman's! If you are missing Bartell, give Katterman's a try.
