I called several times over the course of 3 days to confirm my prescription and I could tell they were super busy. The lady was very courteous. When I got there to pick up the medicine I could see how busy they really were. They still were very efficient. Great place to go for your medicines and just anything really.

They cradled me and made sure my medications are filled an always on time. They call you, they check and make sure you want to fill them at the same time, they educate you on your medications and possible side effects and interactions. Plus, sometimes? A shortage may be occurring on a particular medication and they will warn you so you can look for it somewhere else until they can get it in. You can feel love here. I was done with "big box pharmacies.!" I was tired of standing in line for hours or sitting out in my car for 45-minutes at a time to just pickup my medications. I was tired of coming home and my medication count being off! This "beautiful and caring group of people walk the last mile with you." It is business the way pharmacies should be." The staff and pharmacists are absolutely amazing after several visits they were calling me by my name when I arrived, they notify me when they receive my script, it's always ready on time and they always have what we need in stock and even if they don't you won't wait long. I recently had some dental work done and was over by their office, I stopped in just to see if they would fill it before driving home, they had just received the prescription but told me to wait 10 minutes and filled it immediately. If you are tired of dealing with the big box pharmacies which are getting harder and harder to find and deal with, you MUST give them a try you won't be disappointed. My most recent visit I needed a few over the counter items and dropped off old medications to dispose of in their bin. I also utilized the health machine for BP. Good visit, but no interaction with pharmacy as I checked out in front. No interaction with staff. However, they now video customers in the aisle due to the area being high theft., No reason to rush back as this location is not close from to my home, but I do recommend.

The pharmacist is very kind, and this pharmacy is a breath of fresh air. I wish more pharmacies were like this one. I came from Isle of Wight County to get medication for my new baby that wasn't available readily at closer pharmacies, and the experience I had made me want to make the drive this way more often.

The old pharmacy was extremely archaic and was not comfortable, it was tough seeing some of our vets and handicapped folks standing for a long time without a chair to sit on. So, I'm super glad there is a drive through and seating inside to avoid such instances going forward. Refills and Prescriptions: Services include processing prescriptions from military providers at Langley, Fort Eustis, and Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. They also process prescriptions from civilian providers and all refills. Drive Thru: Be warned, the drive through is ALWAYS busy, especially between 10-2! Pharmacy hours are 8-6, patients must be checked in 15 minutes prior to closing time.

Employees here are helpful and want to get you out. Even when I go inside to get my refill, I never had to wait no more than 20-40 minutes. Usually how long it takes me to do a full shopping trip. They provide other services as well like flu shots and stuff like that. I would even recommend calling their number ahead of time and picking up your refill so that you don't have to wait.

Chesapeake Rx is an extension of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare system. It's a pharmacy with basic…read morehealthcare items that also administers vaccines, located at the end of the shopping strip with the Food Lion. We normally get vaccinated on military installations, just to keep all our records in one place since we move around. However, the military doesn't seem to have a consistent inventory of the particular vaccination we are looking for, so I found the Chesapeake Rx location on the vaccines.gov. They were the only ones in our area that had the particular vaccine AND who would also administer it to children under 12 (pharmacies like Walgreens will not administer it to children under 12, so look out for that when booking appointments FYI). I scheduled an appointment in advance and the staff member was kind and answered all of my questions. The morning of, which was yesterday, however, one of their nurses called me about an hour before the appointment and notified me that the order they had placed did not come in. The supplier had shipped them a different vaccine for children. We were already on our way, so my husband and I got ours. The nurse was the same one who had called and she was super nice and very apologetic. She was very gentle in administering the vaccine as well, as I HATE needles. The process is pretty quick. You have a one page form to fill out (only top portion, then sign at the bottom) and they will submit it to the Department of Health. She was also kind enough to fax over the vaccine record to my military home clinic. She gave me the carbon copy though so I could have it and also filled out my vaccination card. Notes: - they only schedule appointments for vaccinations on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. They go up until 5:30 so you can bring them after school if time is an issue. The pharmacy is very clean and quiet. The inventory for retail items are very sparse, but probably best suited for impulse purchases while picking up your prescription. They have the small private room in the corner to administer the vaccination. She said that she would give me a call as soon as the right vaccine comes in for the kids, so looking forward to going back and getting it done! Stay safe, Friends!
