It's a real gem in a world where the remaining pharmacies have become retail chains with personalized services that evaporated when the giant conglomerates bought up all the independent pharmacies.

I'm sure the pharmacist had good intentions, but the lack of proper communication with the patient is inexcusable. Overall disappointing experience.

Also if you are disabled and use the drive-through, they only do refills in one lane and the machine is broken at least half the time. Whoever is in charge of this store seems to have lost control, probably not safe to use.

I understand lunch breaks are important, and they do have the hours posted -- but it's not the customer's fault when previous transactions take longer. If someone is already waiting in line before closing time, they should be helped or at least communicated with. This was frustrating and felt dismissive. When I went to pick it up, it was for a three month supply. I did not ask for a Three month supply and told them to do a one month supply. They told me it would take a half hour to fill and would be $59.00 dollars more than what I would normally pay. That's 50% more than what I normally pay, talk about price gouging. I ended up going to another pharmacy where I pay a little more than what I was paying at CVS, but No where near $59.00. They do not communicate with their customers. They just automatically do things without any notice. The robocalls to remind you are a total pain. I constantly tell them I don't want to be reminded and they keep doing it. Also, l have told them numerous times not to automatically fill my prescription, but they still do. I am totally done with this garbage pharmacy. Don't bother with CVS, go to Walgreens, Stop and Shop or an independent pharmacy of your choosing.

This entirely defeats the purpose of pickup well mostly since at this store you would still be waiting for someone to check you out. At the Metacom Ave CVS in Warren they place pickup orders in a kiosk for pickup making it convenient. The pharmacy showed a prescription as processing and soon available for two months. I had some extra time so decided to quiz the pharmacist about this puzzle and they told me that EVERY day they order same medication and it was NEVER available to them. Meanwhile I had a script for same at Walgreens the first month CVS flaked out and through some miracle they were able to obtain it. I transferred the Walgreens script to Lifespan Pharmacy for month two and they had it within 24 hrs BUT after my conversation with the CVS pharmacist CVS placed a HOLD on my medication through my insurance so Lifespan had to call to have them release it. Beyond belief. Pharmacist from CVS had stood there with a straight face and lied continuously about the med being ordered unsuccessfully on a daily basis. CVS is the biggest PBM in the US. They can get a med before other pharmacies if they actually order it. Wait it gets better. Once I had a script that they overcharged me for so about 6 days afterward I went back to obtain a refund which was not an issue HOWEVER the CVS system saw the refund date as the date of the script being obtained by me. This medication is a very low level sleeping med so its the law not to dole it out even a day early which I am aware of and its not an issue. When I returned to the day for my refill I was told I would have to wait 6 more days to get a refill. Took me a minute to figure out their foul up - tried to explain it but NO, I went home to get the actual bottle to show I wasn't a liar. To add insult to injury this CVS is located at the worst red light in all of the East Bay. Getting in and out of there is a flipping nightmare. Stay clear and hope they close this location.
