I purchased an item in 5/1/26 and got a coupon. I had an emergency and purchased somehign else on 5/3/26 I spoke to the manager Danny who said you've got to use coupons at the time of purchase!! this is going against the Consumer laws of Nee Jersey!! read more

I was highly disappointed when I went to this pharmacy today. My mother and I went to go drop off my prescription at the pharmacy. The lady who was helping us was having struggles, trying to put our prescription in and then claimed that she apparently put it in and she said we could go and pick it up 2 pm. We came back and we went to the pick up and a different woman said that there was no prescription. So the lady who helped us, not only lied to us, she had no idea what she was doing! So now we have to go even later to pick it up. The only positive was a different kind lady putting the prescription correctly in for us after the situation. read more

To say this company has the poorest customer service is an understatement. Store #351 has been refusing to fill a legal prescription for months, and causing both me and my prescriber to jump through unnecessary hoops. The latest incident of their refusal to fill a legal prescription put me in the hospital, and now as a result of my new diagnosis that I didn't have and I wouldn't have if CVS had done their due diligence and honored a prescription I was legally prescribed, I am out of work for 6 months until I can be cleared by a neurologist, and I can't even operate my own motor vehicle. When you attempt to call their store, you navigate a phone menu, and you have to wait on hold for an extraordinary amount of time before you get an attitude from the human being in the pharmacy that you want to talk to. When you take your complaint to their email address, they respond with a form letter (obviously prepared in advance) and "recommend" you call another number that keeps you on hold forever, but a robotic voice comes on every 30 second and tells you how important your call is to them. After hearing that 75 times, I gave up. Also, they must receive a ton of complaints, because a recent (canned) email they sent me didn't even have my correct name - it said Dear (NOT MY NAME), and urged me to call the same number that keeps you on hold. Pharmacists and pharmacy techs employed by CVS, in my experience, embellish and abuse state and federal laws and insurance company policies so they don't have to do any actual work, but I don't think they realize that when people don't get their medication that their doctor prescribes, they get very sick and it seriously impacts their lives. My job requires me to operate a motor vehicle, and now I can't. For 6 months. Until I'm cleared by a neurologist and provided I am symptom free. All because they didn't perform due regard or show due diligence. It's a perfect example of a company wanting to do the least amount of work and maximize their profits. I don't think they really "care" about the lives they are affecting by taking unrighteous authority over a legal prescription and refusing to fill it. Yes, they're short staffed; but that's not my problem... well, now it is, because my company is short staffed now because if I had my medication, I wouldn't have gotten sick, and I wouldn't have been put out of work. Take your prescriptions ANYWHERE else. Do NOT risk going through what I'm going through now, because they simply do not care, regardless of the response that will be below this review stating that they are committed to addressing my concerns and they'll ask me to contact another phone number that no one answers. You can only do business this way for so long before you reap what you sow. read more

Every time I try to get through on the phone such as yesterday and today the phones don't work , also nasty staff , never have meds I need in stock either , have to wait days to get them . I will try calling them and the message says enter your mailbox even calling on the doctors phone line . My doctors has even complained to me they can't get through . Ridiculous read more

Speaking specifically about the pharmacy, while the staff is nice enough they almost never have even the most basic of drugs. Come on CVS... your inventory management stinks and its not just this store. I had moved my prescriptions years ago for same reason. Sad day when I have my mom's script transferred to the direct competitor and when I go pick it up there is a gentleman there trying to get his transferred. I am officially done with CVS. Worst experience in my life. Phone system malfunctioning for weeks. Can't get a live person on the phone. Drove down at 8 pm to pick up prescription. One car ahead of me on drive through lane. Previous customer received their order. I pulled up sign says drive through closed due to the labor shortage. Walked inside yelling for a manager. Told them to cancel order. Pharmacy is terrible, I put my prescription in on a Friday as soon as I left the doctor because I needed it they never called me so I went there Monday to pick it up and they lost my prescription. I waited an hour or so so they could look for it and they couldn't find it finally they told me I have to call the doctor and have them resubmit my doctor was so busy I had to wait a couple of more hours till he had the time to call in a new one. This is unacceptable for a pharmacy that is in a senior citizens community not even to mention that they close down the whole Pharmacy for 1 hour every day so they could all go to lunch together that is terrible management. Any place I ever worked people stagger their hours for lunch so that there's always someone covering this is a very selfish CVS not worried at all about their patrons. Dies not matter the time of day.but especially hours between 9 p.m. and supposed night shift at Banniner Ave. Toms River. NO ONE answers phone. A few times I have called from home, left and gone to CVS while still on hold and can hear phones ringing and no one answers. This is not 24 hour service. Will join those who are switching to other pharmacies. This is a senior community. Shame on you. read more

Wish I could give zero stars. By far THE most disrespectful pharmacy staff in the area. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME I call from my office I get some nasty technician on the phone who is clearly miserable. Today my patient called and said she was told they cannot substitute my patients medicine because the script does not say it's ok. MIND YOU: 1. The script DID NOT say DAW (dispense as written)- there for right there giving them permission to substitute. 2. To make it one better- because I know there is no technical generic to the one prescribed I even went as far as to write in the script comments "ok to substitute prednisolone acetate 1% to use the same way" So right there gives the pharmacist everything he needs for substitution. Meanwhile they SENT MY PATIENT AWAY!!! He daughter NEEDED that medication and it was 7pm therefor our office was closed!! Today my patient calls me and I tell her I will call the pharmacy because I ALWAYS have a problem with this CVS. When I called I got some arrogant man whose name I should have asked for but I did not. He told me he did see that on the script and they would fill it. I asked him if he knew who was working last night that would of told her this and I kid you not he said "we have a lot of new employees here and they're not trained to read the RX correctly" WHAT?!?! HOW IS THAT OKAY? I do not understand. So I very nicely said "ya know we have this issue a lot with your pharmacy and I know it wasn't you but can you please make sure someone trains these technicians so this doesn't happen again?" He cut me off as I barely finished my sentence and said "oh sureeee"- as if this was a joke. I ended up hanging the phone up on him because of how DISRESPECTFUL he is and I will be instructing my patients to use another CVS in the area. This CVS is located DIRECTLY outside Holiday City in TR and this is how you treat people? Especially the elderly? Very sad- I hope someone important sees this and makes a change. I work for a very large practice in the area and will make sure the doctors all know of how I and our patient was treated so we do not RX that as often as possible. read more

Been very happy with my visits so far. Friendly techs and pharmacists. Was even able to receive my flu shot before Labor Day! Quick service and very accommodating on the phone. Used several pharmacies in the TR area over the years.... this store by far has been the best ! read more

This store has been remodeled at least 3 times since it opened. I'm not complaining about re-learning where everything is located. Instead, I'm happy they realized the old layout with registers on both sides of the entrance was a bad idea. The new space has made the store appear bigger and less cramped. The staff is friendly even humorous at times. Pharmacy has gotten better. I used to get the deer in the headlights look from pharmacy techs when I produced my smartphone with the Rx pickup barcode, but that has changed. Parking lot layout leaves a lot to be desired. Best time to go is after sundown when the seniors are all in their homes. My big problem is that whenever I visit CVS, there is some kind of computer issue. If I can't use coupons, extra bucks, or return something, I get pissed. I literally got a coupon on my receipt after picking up a prescription, had it loaded onto my card via the cvs app, and attempted to use it in the front of the store. Didn't work. Also, there seems to be an issue with pricing, especially sale and clearance items. They don't always ring up the correct price. read more

It's a CVS...the people were friendly enough, and the prices not bad. I was in visiting family and needed a script, after jumping through some hoops and making several calls I was finally able to get my copay squared away. read more

This is an update to previous post. Returned to CVS on 9/11/17 to pick up the 2 bottles of eye drops due my Mom. To my surprise only 1 bottle was available out of the 2. Adivised I'd take the 1and was told ...no....it was the policy of CVS to complete the order. Isn't that rich,CVS will take payment in FULL even though order incomplete but will not give you what you paid for. Can't help but wonder how much medication my mother or others were short changed without knowing since CVS never advised us in the first place 2 additional bottles of eye drops were due. read more
