Since I'm not too good with arranging flowers in a vase, I either buy too few and have to go back to buy more and then they're gone, or, I buy too many and waste money. I brought my vase from home because I saw these big beautiful velvet poinsettia flowers trimmed in white. I showed the vase to the young lady in the store . She took the flowers which were in the window display in a Christmas tree, paired them with faux lamb's ear, tried other greenery, but the lamb's ears were perfect, cut them the right size and arranged them in the vase for me. She had other customers, was very pleasant, she helped them while I walked around and then completed my arrangement. The store has a great vibe and with service like that, this will be the first store I will visit for these types of things.

If you're staying and walking across for the beach/boards, you're paying $10. My gripe with this place is that ever since I can remember, the woman at the register hasn't been very friendly at all. No hello when I say hello to her. My 4-year old needed the restroom, and she said she had no restroom (c'mon, really? This shop is in a large house..of course they have a restroom). Hubby had to take my son across the street to Subway to use their bathroom while I shopped (and purchased something!). Also, the Yelp check-in deal said (1) free seashell. After showing it to her, she said she didn't have any shells. Mind you, there are 99 cent seashells ALL OVER this place! And it was for my little boy, not me!!! Someone asked her a genuine question this Saturday as to why the shop closes at 4pm. Her response was they would not make any more money. The customer then asked "even in the tourist season?" And the woman behind the counter said "yes honey!, even in the tourist season". The customer being offended by her tone said "well I guess you know better than me" and this woman's second rude response was "I sure do". This was just one event. There have been others that I've seen but I don't remember the details. So although I would highly recommend shopping here for the selection of items, I would though try not to interact with this woman much unless you absolutely have to. I have learned that she is not the owner and hope the owner reads this and will watch her more closely as she needs better people skills.

Our grandkids worked doing shores and saved enough to get what they want on top of the spending money we give them for their vacations. We teach them value and respect. One thing for sure, every time we come back to town, I would never spend a penny on your store. I hope you learn a lesson with this and remember not to be racist. I immediately fell in love with some of the framed photography, but like many others, during these difficult times, I'm on a budget, so that was a hard no to spending $150 on art right now. Luckily, when we wandered upstairs, we found less expensive prints of the images so we could frame it ourselves. SOLD. Staff were friendly. And bonus, even through my mask, it smelled so lovely inside.

The prices have skyrocketed and I fear they have steered away from the "local business" culture and prices. Now it feels like I'm shopping at an expensive department store. The prices are not reflective of the quality. The jewelry isn't as good as it used to be as the $14-$16 sterling silver earrings begin to tarnish after a month of wear. Many of my pieces I own have become stretched out and pilled after only a few wears (even with gentle washing/cleaning). Some of the pieces being the EXACT SAME BRANDS that are sold at Island Gypsy in Lavalette but being more affordable there. Today I went for the first time in a long time as I had a gift card and wanted to give them another shot as I so badly want to love sunshine again. But when I went to pay the girls said there wasn't enough money on my unused gift card saying there was only $13 of the $25...do not think it was malicious or intentional but I think there was a mix up due to them reusing gift cards. If you're charging this much for your products, why can't you afford to buy new gift cards or have a better system? The girls kind of just looked at me and shrugged like "sorry". After today, it makes me so sad as a local of point pleasant boro that a store I once loved for the quality and price has now become a hub specifically geared towards wealthy tourists.

Noticed however different prices on each. We said we would purchase both for the same (lower by $10) price. The woman (not Penny) said ok. When it came time to pay for our items she said "no". She didnt even honor the 1 at the $10 lower price. Needless to say, we left and did not buy the clothing. They lost a $200 sale by not honoring the amount on the tag and not honoring a price adjustment on the other item. This is terrible customer service.

Very disappointing experience. My daughter and her friend started hand-painted ceramic projects…read morehere in September while both were dealing with school and work schedules. They returned in October, November, and December as their schedules allowed to continue working on the projects. During those visits, they explained multiple times that there may be gaps before they could finish and pick up the pieces. They were under the impression this was understood and that holding the items would not be an issue. Now that their schedules finally allowed them to go back, I drove my daughter over to pick up the pieces, only for her to be told they no longer had them and that they had been thrown out. She was then told they only hold items for 40 days. That was not clearly communicated to her, especially considering they had specifically discussed their school and work schedule situation during prior visits. What made it worse was the response. When my daughter asked why no one called before throwing away paid customer projects, she was told they "do not call you guys." When she said she had spent a lot of money, the employee responded that it was "$40" in a dismissive way, as if that amount did not matter. To my daughter, that money mattered. More importantly, the project mattered. These were hand-painted ceramic pieces made by two friends during a busy and important time in their lives. You cannot recreate that exact item or that exact memory. It was not just pottery -- it was something personal. My daughter left very upset and almost in tears. I understand businesses need policies, but a strict 40-day hold policy should be made very clear, especially when customers explain ahead of time that school and work may delay pickup. A simple phone call, text, or email before discarding paid projects would have avoided this entire situation. I also do not understand how a studio that serves students and families can expect someone attending any type of school, including college away from home, to always be able to return within 40 days. If that is the policy, it needs to be clearly stated upfront and repeated before items are discarded. Very disappointed in how this was handled.
