Without inviting trouble and actually pointing out to the world exactly where I live, I will confess that this new CVS is the closest drug selling establishment to my abode. The last five weeks I've been hoarding drugs and products containing drugs to relieve my symptoms of coughing, chest congestion, runny nose, stuffy nose, watery eyes, dry eyes, fever, chills, and sore throat. I've had a cornucopia of symptoms that never really turned into anything requiring a doctor's visit although I did spend money there too as the over the counter stuff wasn't working. I've been rather miserable but finally on the mend and ready to share a limited review of this new business. See above, I was there for drugs. All the cold and flu stuff is in the back next to the pharmacy and I get that. However, I reconfigured the store in my head and wondered why the pharmacy and cold and flu wasn't nearer the entrance-if I were an employee I'd want all them sickos in the flu aisle in and out ASAP.* Give them the least amount of time necessary to snot up, cough on, sneeze at, and germ infest the merchandise. Just another thing in life I wasn't consulted about and made the trek to the far end of the store where I valiantly tried to not cough/sneeze but failed spectacularly. I would've cared about this more had I not just passed approximately 10 people stocking the liquor and beer aisles all coughing and sneezing and then touching the merchandise. Alcohol sales are closer to the front than cold products but if I were stealing stuff it was probably easier to swipe the smaller packages of cold medicine than it was a bottle of wine.* I select my products and hike back to the front of the store where a nice checker is ringing up somebody else telling them that just yesterday a customer participating in the CVS rewards program bought $50 worth of merchandise and paid $2 for it all by the time the program rewards were all computed. Please don't talk to me about this...I just want to pay for the cough syrup and go home* My mental capabilities failed me and she launched right into how much I could save. I politely refused, paid for my OTC's and went home. CVS (or any other drug store) is not a place I shop at. I don't browse. It's not on my radar to go in and just look at saleable items. I go in because I'm sick or forgot the card for whatever celebratory function I'm headed to. SO glad this CVS is in my neighborhood! Beautiful store but more importantly they have beautiful people working there. They are so nice and helpful. Brianna, the pharmacist, is fantastic!!! Laura, the manager is helpful too. They have a little bit of everything and are open until 10 pm which is nice. read more

I dropped off my prescription at 11am and went to lunch etc.. it's now 4:20pm and it's still not filled. What the hell makes it take roughly 5.5hrs??? Lame.... read more

Terrible service here - with an attitude to boot. Pharmacy technician had no idea what he was doing trying to input my insurance info for a simple flu shot. At a different visit, when I asked for a different generic brand to maintain consistency in my medication, I stood there for almost an hour waiting for the dummy to figure out how to enter codes. I finally gave up in frustration. In my LAST visit to this pharmacy (I will not go again), the male substitute pharmacist copped a real attitude when I told him to give me back my written prescription because I didn't want the cheap generic they use that's made (and unregulated ) in China. He said, "It isn't the generic that doesn't work, it's the drug - you obviously need something different." I was very taken aback, given that I have been on this med for 5+ years and KNOW what works and what doesn't (and objective measures to back it up). Every generic has different additives and outer coatings for extended release - some work, some don't. They guy had a lot of nerve disrespecting me like that. The pharmacy is well stocked and they are helpful. The store staff is also very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful.

The pharmacy always is so understaffed BUT they continue to be the nicest and most professional and helpful group! It's amazing to me that they manage to be so sweet under such pressure. I received the best customer service of my life last night! Not only did the cashiers treat me with the upmost respect, but their friendliness and hospitality was beyond excellent! I swear, if I buy from any CVS in Ventura County, it has to be this one! In the front of the store, the cashiers have a neat workstation, small but great looking Photo Lab, and just walking by the Pharmacy, this is to me the best looking CVS I've ever been to in my lifetime. The aisles are wide and accommodate people with disabilities and even wheelchair accessible, plus the signs are clear to read and every sales sign is perfect sight. One worker in particular saw I was having trouble finding a certain product and then offered me assistance in trying to find a cleanser I had wanted. After walking me to the item, she told me about an alternative like the CVS brand which would save me money and have the exact same ingredients as the brand item. After that, she and I walked to the checkout counter and asked for my ExtraCare card, which I've never owned before. She told me that it only takes 1 minute and IT TRULY DID! Not only did she sign me up fast, but her speediness and efficient customer service greatly make me feel special and unique. I thanked her and went on with my day with a smile. read more
