Walmart has affordable household & grocery items. They actually carry things that I frequently use, so no wonder I find myself going to different Walmart stores. This specific Walmart isn't a Walmart Super Center. But, does offer limited groceries, a Pharmacy, clothing, a seasonal section, household items & small appliances. I also have the Walmart+ App. As it helps me send out stuff to my family when they need certain items. Walmart+ definitely came in clutch, several times especially when my son was sick & lives hours away in San Diego. It's great & gives me peace of mind to be able to have groceries & such sent to him for me :) read more

I usually like Walmart for affordable prices and lots of choices. But I recently went to get photo prints and it was a disappointment. They couldn't print the matte prints because their machine was down. I signed up for text notifications and didn't get any. Later to find emails saying it was cancelled. Poor timing for holiday season. And on top of this, there was no associate in sight while I waited at the counter. I understand she was busy helping another customer but might want to check the line as it was growing. Or maybe need a back up there. read more

I come here regularly to pick up household items and other things I need from time to time. They sometimes have good deals, so keep an eye for those. They have everything from electronics, household items, food, clothes, toys or pretty much anything you can think of. The one thing that is unfortunate is that most of their employees are not as friendly. Except the ladies that greet you as you walk in our check your receipt, those ladies are so friendly! read more

The staff here is kind of unfriendly and a little grumpy. It definitely had weird vibes all around. If you are returning something, I recommend you enter in via the exit door. The customer service location at the front of the store. If you come in via the enter door, you need to go past the cashier checkouts to get to the front of the line at customer service . Definitely a weird layout. I'm used to being able to enter in the store then head to customer service. Not entering in the store via the exit door to return something. They need to put prices on the ladders as well. The lady checking receipts was super nice though. read more

The brown paper bags are a terrible idea for people who have E Bikes,bicycles ,or walk ,they rip pretty easily and no handles ,I know first hand because it happened today with me,I own a E Bike ,the bag riped in front of CVS and I had to pick up all my groceries .I think plastic bags should be back in the store .not everyone owns cars. read more

Horrible customer service, I just wanted to buy a pair of shoes for work. I noticed it had no tag at self checkout so I waived down an associate for help. Blonde older lady at the self checkout stand barely tries to help me by inputting the item number into a produce category search??? She then rudely tells me to do it by myself. It doesn't work so she tries again on her computer then tells me she can't sell it to me even though there was a rack full of the same shoes with the same price just different size as that was the last shoe in the size I needed. I leave and she sarcastically says "have a good night" as I was leaving. I would avoid this store if you could. read more

I stopped by on the hunt for some clearance Christmas decorations and I found some! I got a Christmas tree for 30 bucks. It's small but so nice! I also got a new sturdy laundry basket. Place is kept organized. My bf and I witnessed a young lady being asked to leave as she seem to be inebriated and and down grabbing things/talking to herself. Staff was kind just trying not to cause a scene. This location does get a little scary later at night. Across the way there were two cop cars kicking out another person from another shop. Shame on you, Walmart employee! I was with my FIL, who is 91 years old. He wanted to buy postage stamps. We waited in your long line by the liquor section. You said that the store was out of stamps. Another employee said that is not true. She said every cashier knows to call for a manager as the stamps are kept in the office. We chose not to wait in another long line to buy them. Thank you to the associates at customer service. They saved this review from going sour when I went there specifically to pick up my phone that was lost and find my phone was making it beep in one of the employee's pockets and then I went to go find someone and then it was you could hear it in the employee lounge, but they said it wasn't back there until the lady from customer service went back there a took it and gave it to me no problem and was very helpful. These employees are the ones dealing with the crappy customers returns and complaints. Kudos. read more

I hate going to this Walmart to begin with because the ratings are low and it's known for having rude employees. When I needed help finding something I told an employee "excuse me" and she stopped me by putting her finger up in my face because I didn't see she was with a costumer. I think that's a rude way to tell someone they're busy with another customer. "The youth" as she put it, would be scolded for that same gesture. I walked away and let her know she could speak to me like a human and use her words. She called me rude for that so I gave her the same energy and called her rude back. We both could've left it there. I continued with my shopping and when I came back around she was still talking badly about me behind my back to the customer she was helping. Saying things like "the youth these days have no respect" I have enough respect to talk to people like an adult and use my words instead of putting fingers in people's faces. Then she proceeded to tell me I could get out of the store and I told her I didn't have to. So she tried calling security on me for "being rude". Walmart allows 20$-1000$ deposit on any online banking card an these employees here decide when to say "sorry doesn't work do you want to try again" which is the 3rd time or more an i thought I let others know that there preventing customers from depositing money in to there cards saying it's a problem with the machine which isn't accurate seems more like an excuse to just say no for whatever reason maybe they have bad days idk beside that , that's no Walmart protocol , they give off a receipt explaining nothing but claiming that in my perspective that this paper is a voucher for me to not make my deposit for the day is my pov on there response to not letting my card go tru with the deposit , which isn't cool at all especially when I have errands ,bills ,an groceries to take care of the 1st time was ok but 2nd 3rd an so fourth etc... should not be a headache for a simple bank transfer so I will follow up with a complaint for these employees if it continue Maybe even a lawsuit Capeeshh! I needed a pleasing bauble for a bare spot in my back garden area near the weekday gazebo, so I put on my good corduroy jacket, satin ascot and driving gloves in order to motor down to my favorite Walmart on Victoria Avenue. I learned the hard way a couple of years ago that there is no valet service (though the police did get my car back eventually), so I self-parked near the large magnolia tree at the east end of the lot, hopped out of my K-car, and excitedly strode towards the welcoming whoosh of Walmart's automated doors - entering with a smile and a knowing nod to my favorite greeter, Nadine. I grabbed one of the complementary shopping carts that Walmart graciously lends its regular clientele and made a beeline for the garden center. A personal shopper who was placing packages of rodent repellent on the shelves near me asked if I needed help. I started to explain my sudden desire for a bauble, but before I could finish she stopped me and pointed to the end cap. There sat a mesmerizing piece of garden art: an emerald, amphibian-themed, solar-powered garden statue in luxurious resin flanked by two mysterious, glowing crystalline orbs. The unnumbered piece isn't signed by the artist and is entitled "Three Meditating Frogs." I normally don't buy anonymous artworks, but I just couldn't look away. Someone once said that "art isn't supposed to look nice, it's supposed to make you feel something." Well, Three Meditating Frogs ticks both of those boxes. Thank you Walmart! read more

If you guys are going to lock up everything in your store, then you need to have way more people on the floor with keys ready to unlock everything. I often came here for only 1 reason good prices on oil & oil filters. Last time I was able to get everything in a somewhat timely matter. This time felt personal, I was ignored by one employee when asking them to unlock the oil filters, then what appeared to be a manager asked me if I needed help. Turns out he didn't even want to help me he was just paranoid I was stealing. Then a tall black kid employee told me word for word "you came at the wrong time, I ain't got no keys" when I asked him. That was my breaking point, I will never come here again. You guys are so worried about thief's you ruin the relationship with regular hard working honest paying customers. Of all the locations to choose from in the Ventura Oxnard area this store is by far my favorite option! I tend to struggle with all of my Walmart experiences because it's always such a zoo-but who can resist the savings!? This store is nicer than the others, more organized, clean and the employees are actually nice. I only shop here for household/bathroom/kitchen/health & personal type items and the savings are fantastic! The parking is way easier to deal with over the others nearby so that right there is a win win! Located next to Trader Joe's too so I love that! Give it a try! read more

The ABSOLUTE WORST WALMART in all of Ventura County! This so called "business" knows absolutely NOTHING about how to treat a customer with respect or about how to conduct themselves (the employees) in a professional manner! I am literally left LIVID right now from my experience tonight! Unfortunately earlier tonight my cellular device had endured its last drop, causing it to break and therefore I needed to go purchase a new phone immediately. I raced over to this specific Walmart with 10 minutes left until it closed. Upon entering I looked for the 1st available store associate and politely asked if someone could unlock the glass case and I would gladly make the purchase and be on my way out. Well- of course that was apparently asking WAY too much. The MANAGER actually gets the worst attitude out of everyone involved and begins to yell at me saying "it's not going to happen! too bad, our store is now closed so you need to leave". Stunned, I don't say another word and begin to head to the door. I can hear the employee and manager begin to LAUGH at me as they start gossiping about what just had happened. Clean store, friendly staff....ghetto customers late at night. Came here because my car ran out of windshield wiper fluid and my front window was streaky. Outside there was a guy asking for change. Inside was well lite, clean and well stocked store but shady looking customers. After buying my supplies I didn't feel comfortable filling my wiper fluid in the parking lot, so wife suggested trader joes parking lot. And it did feel alot safer doing that there. Most likely a nice store to visit in the day time but not sure about night. read more

Horrible service. Ordered through store pick up. Waited over 30min. Called store pick up line for over 5min. Called to speak to an associate for over 5min. Nobody picked up. had to go in store and ask what was going on. Where I again waited another 5min and them was instructed to go back outside to my vehicle and wait. Bottom line don't waist your time. Go in the store and get your items would be a lot faster. Walmart isn't going to help you other than waisting over 45min of your time. Totally defeats the purpose of picking up. No apologies from the employees. Took an additional 10min. of my waiting after being instructed to return to my vehicle. Super inconsiderate for customers time. If you aren't going to deliver orders to vehicles without being prompted by a customer going inside don't offer pick-up service. read more

On Thur 03/26/20 my mother & I had a plan of attack for our errands (durning COVID 19); routine bloodwork @ Kaiser on Hill St, Trader Joe's & Walmart on Victoria Ave. Walmart: I was basically shocked when I entered the store. The only precautions taken were peices of tape every 6 feet at the pharmacy! Of couse they had the wipes for the carts, but, that didn't feel like enough. This is my go to Walmart where my boyfriend & I go so often that people have gotten to know us a bit & visa versa. It was disheartening to see these people not being protected in any way. I love this store but I'd give them a D- on that day. On a normal day they'd deserve a B+... Be safe and STAY HOME unless you NEED to go out. read more

Ordered online a nintendo switch and a game. Drove from Santa Barbara to Ventura and back to pick it up as it was stated it is ready for pick up. We then were called by Walmart Fraud Verification Jasmine (ref: 21010596763) and told it was there but that they needed to check it was a legit order. Our first and likely last order at Walmart. Walmart store misrepresented the situation and told us it was not there. One hand does not know what other is doing. I have been on a Walmart call now for 1 hour (thx i can multitask while listening to their hold music). Jasmine was to get a supervisor at customer service and after 40 minutes Mary (ref id: 825522008) picked up. She is not a supervisor and Jasmine did not stay on the line, even though she agreed to not do a cold transfer. I re explained that 1. We were misinformed and what guarantee is there that if we drive back down again that the merchandise (paid for online) is there this time? 2. Please see if they can ship it direct (this was not option when we ordered online). 3. Offer a discount or credit as some compensation and acknowledgement for their mistake that cost us a lot of time & gas. For us, it is the principle of this. I am speaking up for those that cannot whether because they are older, don't have the language or advocacy skills or time/patience to do so. 4. I concurrently rang Walmart Ventura and got put on hold 2x for about 15 minutes. Finally Roslyn advises me they have no GM but Mikey is a type of manager. He left maybe on lunch or went home (is 2:45pm). If she sees him she will give him my message. That did not sound very reassuring. I reiterated to please be sure to get him the message. I will update this later. My point is even walmart should appreciate their customers time. One employee did not let me grab a cart for lord knows what reason? None of the staff did anything to resolve the situation besides sit and laugh at what was going on. Like really?
