Did you know that 60% of CVS store's revenue comes from the pharmacy? And yet there is always a line because it is staffed with only one person at the register. They should do something about that. For the rest of the store, the shelves are usually under stocked, probably to avoid too much theft. It's good for when you need something like bandaids or cough syrup or a prescription filled. This location has barren shelves and the pharmacy is horrible. Specifically, some of the staff is outright rude, and the pharmacist herself has a very disgusting attitude, is very unprofessional, belligerent and appears to overtly treat and speak to African-American customers very badly and with proactive hostility that is reflective of some obvious prejudice against them. read more

Went in for a COVID vaccine (had appointment!) and was confronted with rude staff at pharma counter. Watched as pharmacist was rude to another customer (so I see from whence the problem stems!). Was very off-putting! Five staff at the counter and no one could be bothered to help people coming to counter. There is no queue, so it's surprising that addressing those who do come up is so difficult for them!! read more

CVS Pharmacy - Vaccination check in.... - Drugstores Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

No established system to check in for vaccines so you don't know who to go to, if you should stand in line, which line to stand in, or anything because everyone is just randomly standing and sitting around- (HALF OF THEM MASKLESS while having full on conversations about nothing). Checked in online, nothing to indicate I had to then check in at the "consultation" desk. Finally did after some others did. (You see all these people standing around, yet you don't bother to sort them so there can be some order? We have to stand in all the lines until we get the right one??) Asked pharmacist if she could enforce the mandate, she says "we tried, but some won't listen." It's a mandate- if you won't comply, exit the store. Not a difficult thing to do. Literally sitting in the ONLY sections for vaccinations yelling phones, spit flying everywhere. I feel more protected at work (and I'm in oral healthcare ). DO BETTER CVS. P.S. never got my booster bc it was taking entirely too long past my scheduled appt, more people were coming and none were leaving, and I wasn't interested in catching any spittle from the Mouth Sisters. read more

If I could give Kevin, one of the new managers, 10 stars I would -- he treats customers with understanding and respect and goes above and beyond to advocate for them. The store is large for a CVS and well organized and maintained. The pharmacy team deserves 0 stars, particularly the man carrying out vaccinations on Friday 10/22. After about half a dozen customers with booster shot appointments rightfully pushed back against his refusal to follow FDA authorization and give Pfizer boosters to Moderna recipients, he just... stormed out. Took off his lab coat, grabbed his wallet and left. Leaving several people with flu shot and other vaccination appointments left stranded too! This man does NOT care about the health of the community and has no clue how to interact with the public. After witnessing his temper, disrespect of patients, and lack of understanding of relevant vaccine protocols, I would NOT trust him to give me or anyone else an immunization. She is absolutely phenomenal and every time myself or my partner shops there, Jamie is beyond helpful, delightful, caring, gracious and polite. Jamie should teach a class and more than deserves a raise asap! The only reason I continue to frequent this location is because Jamie's customer service is so impeccable. This CVS is right outside of Giant. The interior is smaller than other CVS locations and seems to be a little cramped with low ceilings. However, the staff here went out of their way to help us and we're extremely friendly. Thank you! read more

Front staff is great but the pharmacy is absolutely terrible. They never answer the phone unless I call the store and request they transfer me to the pharmacy. They routinely will tell me inaccurate info like of my medication is in stock or when it will be ready. Poor manners and just bad customer service. read more

I went there for a COVID booster and found a crowded non-line at the counter. The employee signing me in turned out to be a self-declared expert on COVID vaccinations and berated me because I came for a Pfizer vaccine which he believed to be not suitable. While I was waiting (and I waited a while) the guy took a mask break in plain sight, a second person had to pull hers down because she had to drink coffee while at the counter, followed by a third one using it as a chin band while working in the stacks. Glad I already was fully vaccinated and wore a well fitting KF94. The immunizer was great, though, I'd give her 4 stars. For the rest I'd want to give 0. read more

Worst CVS ever. They never open on time and today am employee made an unnecessary comment about me. I went this morning to purchase can tuna and crackers. I would normally stop at Giant but i figured since this store is smaller i would less likely add a bunch of items to my basket that i didn't plan on buying from the beginning. I grab the tuna which is on sale for $0.88. Than i grab the ritz crackers which has a price of $3.99. I also grab sone candy because i cant resist. Iget to tge register and the crackers ring up $4.69. I inform the cashier that the display price says $3.99. She says show me please. I walk over to the crackers and show her the tag. She informs another employee named Ms. Jackie that it is ringing up higher than the tag. Ms. Jackie says '' i just changed those prices. The crackers at what ever they ring up.'' ''i just changed those prices!, they are cheaper at Giant anyways. She should have went to Giant'' After that unnecessary comment i will most definitely go to Giant next time and all other times. How do you work for CVS and imply that a customer shop somewhere else?? Ms Jackie needs some Customer Service training. read more

Beware of store clerks with a really bad attitude! I politely asked where I could find bug spray and was ignored before I was sent out an aisle--just to discover that they were out of it. At self-checkout I needed assistance because I had bought an age restricted item. Both clerks walked by me several times. When I asked one of them to help me, he told me that only the other one could assist. They deliberately made me stand there at least 5 minutes and wait. When I asked for their names, they refused to give them to me. read more

Worst pharmacy customer service. Prescriptions are not filled on time. Today when I asked when I can expect 1 or the 2 prescriptions that were waiting to be filled for 4 days they told me that they have been backed up for 2 months. It would be helpful if they would at least be honest about the time to fill prescriptions and be nice about it. read more

I tried to order a refill three days ago and still says "processing". I called over 5 times today and was on hold for over 2 hours. The other locations can't fill my medicine because it says "in process" in their system. I was trying to be a good neighbor and use them during the pandemic but I will be taking my business somewhere else. Whenever I go to pick up my medicine, there are prescriptions all over the place and they seem to be drowning. read more

This store was once run like a neighborhood pharmacy, with pharmacists who worked here for months or years, knowing customers by their first names. That has changed via COVID and corporateization. Now the pharmacists are temps; many of those doing pharmacy functions are not even pharmacists. They are especially rude and aggressive towards women and people of color, profiling them for supposedly getting prescriptions refilled too early or by saying they have run of prescriptions for weeks or months. One by one, conscientous workers and pharmacists have left as well as customers who are never returning. read more

Literally worst CVS experience I've ever had. Merchandise all over the floor, customer service was absolutely an embarrassment (I asked the clerk if I could get a basket or cart because none were available and he looked at me and SHRUGGED. No words, just a look of "sorry .... I don't care".). That was the least of it. I went to purchase a gift card, brought it to the cashier to pay and she says, "sorry, we aren't selling these anymore." I say, "there's an entire stack of these kinds of cards on the shelf." The cashier responds, "they shouldn't be there." And I leave. Don't waste your time stopping in for even a short errand. Not worth it. read more

I've been a regular customer of the pharmacy since the store opened. The pharmacist is always available to answer questions and provide advice and the 'front-line' staff provides excellent customer service.
