Can I rate 0 stars? This is targeted at the pharmacy. The pharmacists were clearly nudged through their programs and given a participation trophy for graduation. I expect they were not hired in merit or personal strengths. All service providers are young, unknowledgeable, ambitionless, slow and impersonable. This is a huge CVS with accommodating, friendly staff. My 40% off coupon expired today, so I purchased an eye product I needed. Edward helped me check out since the 40% off coupon did not come up with self checkout. Husband used his CVS card to purchase the White Castle burgers. They were even cheaper with his reward bucks. Could not have been more unhelpful. Showing flu symptoms so went to the Minute Clinic to take a test - was told they had appointments for 2 days away & to just get an at home test. Pharmacy sent me to the checkout for the desk, checkout sent me back to pharmacy. Pharmacy directed me to a shelf where the test was out of stock and when I asked if they had any in the back, the pharmacist rolled her eyes and said "well we don't have any back here." Also had to wait for her to get off her phone to answer my question - both pharmacist acted like I had ruined their day by asking for help. Let without test & it was probably the worst customer service I've ever seen. read more

OMG I see everyone else here agrees that Cory Silva is the worst pharmacist ever! I have had the same exact experience as everyone else here. He doesn't know how to fill my prescription correctly and instead of calling my insurance company to find out what codes to use, he just tells me he can't do it. I had to have the insurance company call him directly since he couldn't be bothered. He had the nerve to ask me if I wanted to pay for my prescription, NO my insurance covers it if you would just code it right. He has an attitude, unfriendly and completely unknowledgeable and helpful. Why is he the only pharmacist working here? He needs to work at a pharmacy that has a team so he can ask them questions. I don't understand how someone can be bad at their job for years! They have had their front doors boarded up with wood for 8 months now and finally installed new electric doors that don't open. If I can give this location 0 stars I would. The main entrance on K Street is constantly broken and they want you to use NY Ave instead. Zero customer service. Doesn't matter if you're just picking up a bottle of water or a prescription at the pharmacy. Shelves are blah. Everything locked up, reminds me of all these drug stores in downtown San Fransisco. Overpriced at best. If you want to smell the aroma of vomit and floor moped with feces au de parfume fragrance please don't hesitate to come to this location. Guarantee you'll be leaving the store feeling nauseous. Nothing screams sanitary and "health" industry at this CVS location. read more

I have mixed feelings about this CVS location at 655 K Street NW in Washington. After 15 years as a customer at another CVS I was automatically moved here when that location closed. At first the transition seemed good, but over time, there have been instances when the service at the pharmacy has been very poor here. There is one person who used to work at my previous location who continues to give excellent service, but other people have been very rude, unprofessional, and less than helpful. The most recent incident occurred today where I've been having trouble refilling a prescription. Please do better before I take my business elsewhere. read more

This CVS pharmacy is the worst. I've had continual problems with their service but this week was the final straw... i went to get my must have prescription and found it had closed all day. Then the next day they put a hold on my script for amoxicillin without telling me why. After trying to get anyone on the phone for 35 minutes, I was told it was out of stock? who runs out of such a basic drug. so I went back the 3rd day and it was again closed. Then I get a text message saying an unforeseen emergency has caused them to reschedule my appointment for vaccines. That's it, I am having all my prescriptions transfered to the Safeway down the street. read more

I'm not sure if the positive reviews are of the actual store, but I deal with the pharmacists at this CVS regularly to fill my prescriptions. Every single pharmacist at this CVS makes me feel unwanted. The staff are nice and helpful enough, but for some reason they all speak with a tone and manner as though they are insulted that I am asking them for help with my prescriptions and that they could care less about their job. They get the job done so it's hard not to recommend them, but I wish I didn't feel so uncomfortable every time I've had to interact with them. read more

Truly the worst CVS in DC because of the pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is rude and cannot do their job effectively. They make no effort to assist with insurance or figuring out prescriptions -- which is particularly troubling for someone with a chronic condition. It is worth it to go to walgreens only a few blocks away. read more

Avoid this place if you can. As others have posted here, pharmacist Cory Silva is not skilled at his job and is consistently mean-spirited and unpleasant in customer service interactions. Picking up meds at this CVS is not worth dealing with his attitude and mistakes. If you do have to get meds here make sure you check that your prescription was filled correctly and you were not inappropriately billed as this type of sloppiness happens here far too often. read more

I have been using this pharmacy for a year. They are not very friendly and clearly the people working the pharmacy in the afternoon are unhappy to be there. Not friendly at all. They close early, not good when you need to pic up medication. When I pleaded for help the guy said he couldnt because he "had to be somewhere at 6:30"... Sorry but thats not my problem. read more

The pharmacy staff needs a drastic improvement. They barely answer the phone, and then when they do, they are unwilling to work with you to get your prescriptions filled. This cvs is unusual in that they have great employees. Every time I've been here, people at the counter are extremely nice. This place is always stocked, clean, and well organized. My biggest issue is when they have lots of customers but only one cashier. This happened last night. We needed sunscreen for our upcoming scavenger hunt around the Tidal Basin. The two employees greeted us as we walked in the door, and immediately asked if we needed help. The store aisles are scattered around the eclectic floor plan, so directions were helpful to find what we needed, but the employees went above and beyond, walking us to the correct location. This CVS is clean, well-stocked, and - by far the best thing - I have never once seen a line at the pharmacy. I almost hate to say that because I enjoy swanning in and getting my meds with zero wait, but there you have it. One of the nicest CVS stores that I have ever set foot in. The store is super clean and does not have the old carpet that most CVS stores have. The staff was also extremely friendly which is quite the surprise considering I usually prefer Walgreens staff. The pharmacy and brand new and looks nice. This is a review of the pharmacist, Cory Silva, RPh. I had a very unpleasant experience dealing with him, and will try to avoid going to that pharmacy. Instead of looking me in up in the computer system as pharmacists typically do, he demanded that I hand him my insurance card and then insisted that my insurance had expired, which was not true. But it took a while to clarify that. He then made my wait 15 minutes to simply hand me a box of my medication from the shelf behind him, and didn't even ask if I had any questions about the medicine, as CVS pharmacists usually do. He was very unfriendly throughout, and I event witnessed him being snappy with anther customer while I waited. I understand that Cory has an RPh degree and can manage to find the right medicine and put it in a paper bag very well (I check he did hand me the correct medicine, for which I give him 1 star), but he practice looking up patients in the computer system and try to improve his people skills. read more
