I am always greeted when I go into the store, very organized and fully stocked with everything you need. I had to witness demeaning treatment from Conor toward one of the employees who had a question about how to process a payment. Aren't managers also supposed to help and guide their staff? Conor's attitude was extremely rude and arrogant. I felt bad seeing his coworker just lower her head and put up with the disrespectful way Conor was speaking to her. read more

We are always excited to find a pharmacy/convenient store close to our hotel, but this CVS was a real disappointment. Very dirty, disheveled and low stock of food and beverages - lots of empty aisles. They are renovating (or at least there are signs indicating that, though there isn't much evidence of work). The pharmacy is in the basement and the elevator was out of order, so there may be accessibility issues for those who can't do the stairs. Not many people working either. I walked to what I thought was the closest CVS to my office and was surprised to find out that it wasn't as close as it was. In fact, when you put it in on Yelp, it takes you to the wrong address. So much so, you are nearby a recently closed location. I needed a prescription filled and thought this would be a quick run to have it filled and I was totally misled. When I finally did get here, it took a minute to get the prescription into the pharmacy and I was told it would be ready by the end of the day. I figured that should be correct and made my way back out of this place. As it was nearing the end of the day, and this location having odder pharmacy hours than usual, I wasn't getting any update. No text like I was told and I didn't want to have to go out of my way to go home, but I had to. I came back here, frantically found a place to park and went inside to see if my medication was ready. Surprise, it was not. Supposedly what I needed filled was not stocked and they hadn't gotten to stocking the shelves. They asked if I could come back to get it...on the following Monday. I had to carve out a time in that day just to come here to make sure I made it before the pharmacy closed and pray that they actually had my prescription filled. Thankfully, I no longer need that medication, but that doesn't stop this location from badgering me that my refill has been filled and ready for pickup. Funny how when you don't need it, they have it and badger you for it, but when you do need it, ah, we'll fill it when we can. read more

Used self checkout and accidentally pd for charges someone had started to checkout but didnt finish. Manager advised could not refund all because they couldnt find all the items to "return" to credit me back and that I should have noticed before checking out. Which yes I agree it would have been better for me to catch but I dont think that means I should have to pay for things I clearly didnt purchase. She only smiled and said she was sorry, she couldnt do anything else to correct. If you're looking for those people who weirdly work harder to not work than if they had actually helped, come to this store and look for the 30-40yo lady with the wig. read more

Nice to have a CVS near our hotel. This one is on 2 levels but the elevator was broken (still per other reviews). With that said my wife could not go down to the lower level so she sent me. The staff was friendly but did not want to check me out. Instead they directed me to the self check out kiosk. read more

They must have just replaced the carpet in this place because it had that new carpet smell. Staff was super friendly upstairs and downstairs...two people asked if I needed any help finding everything. Store was laid out pretty well and I was able to find what I needed. Elevator was out of service, which was not great because I'd run 9 miles that morning so walking up and down the stairs was not easy for these old bones. Pharmacy is in the lower level so people with disability issues who need a prescription will face challenges...not sure how that would be addressed. The cashier was super nice. I usually use the self checkout but since he was so fast and friendly, I decided to go the human route this time. Except for the elevator, no complaints about this location. read more

This location is convenient. There is metered street parking around K Street and near Safeway on 4th Street NW. The coupon machine is frequently broken. The employee was nice when I couldn't get a coupon to scan at the self check out. If I were attending a meeting at the convention center, I would grab a drink or a snack here on my break. read more

This CVS was recently renovated so it feels crisp and clean. It's conveniently located in downtown DC positioning themselves as the place to go for every office worker's needs. It's a large CVS so they have groceries, greeting cards, gummy bears, and even a pharmacy in the back. When I went, the staff were friendly, but I also noticed the self-check-out lanes were all broken. read more

My daughter went to the pharmacy at 5:50 PM today and was met by the rudest pharmacist in the Washington, DC area by the name of Yvette. My daughter is traveling for work and outside her home state. Her prescription was called in at 4:00 PM and the nurse asked if the pharmacist would like my daughter's insurance card to make the pick up process easier. Yvette said no, that she would take it when my daughter picked up the medicine. When my daughter presented Yvette with her United Health Care insurance card, Yvette said, "I need your pharmacy card, not that." Our plan uses the same Member ID and Group Number for both insurance and pharmacy. (Walmart & Shop Rite take this card every time). When my daughter tried to explain that was the card we always used, Yvette said, "Do you want the prescription or not?!" After saying this, Yvette told the other employees to log out as they were closing at 6:00 PM. Visibly upset, my daughter took the prescription and paid the $38 for it. (Walmart & Shop Rite are a $1.97 cost) Time stamp on receipt is 6:01 PM. This is how a licensed pharmacist provides care and service to someone in need of medication? I filed a complaint with CVS Corporate and will be contacting the State Insurance Department. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and use another pharmacy outside of CVS. read more

Great COVID vaccination experience here today! The pharmacist who gave me the vaccine was kind, professional, and asked if I had any questions before giving me the shot. She also gave me and another shot recipient free bottled water during our post-shot 15 minute waiting period -- she seemed to actually care how we were doing. read more
