My physician gave me an additional discount for my prescription that works at any CVS. I kindly asked the lady dealing with me if she would be able to apply the discount card. The man immediately interjected and said "We close at 7. Tomorrow." He then followed up with: "you have good insurance. You don't need more discount." Absolute A-Hole comment. Clearly is not happy with his job or life. I ended up just paying the difference because I did not want to deal with him or get into an argument. Truthfully ruined my day. They could've said no and been nice about it and given a reasonable explanation as to why they wouldn't accept it. I left my medicine box in NJ and had arrived in DC for three nights, to celebrate my husband's birthday with our adult children. . . who had also traveled there. I have a chronic disease and was at my wit's end, so stressed out about getting ill while out of town. The pharmacist did a tremendous amount of work to get my 8 prescriptions ready, with 3-day supplies of each, explaining the situation to my insurance company, so that they would allow the emergency fills. His name was Joe and this was on 5/19/2023. He was an amazing example of professional courtesy and expertise and I will not soon forget his kindness. Thank you, Joe!

I came in for the pharmacy to fill my prescription but the were closed, opens at 9am. Soon as I walked in the security guard officer Myers began to follow me upstairs. I saw that the pharmacy was hasn't opened yet but there are seats available in front of the pharmacy. I decided to sit and wait because I had only about 20mins before they opened. The security asked if I needed help and I told her that I was waiting for the pharmacy to open. She started to walk away but I overheard her say in the radio she was carrying that I looked dirty so they better watch me. I told her I don't need to steal. I showed her my prescription paper and she refused to even look at it. I started to walk around the store to wait my time out and to also get away from the guard. She proceeded to follow me into each aisle. Once the pharmacy opened, I grabbed my prescription and proceeded to leave the store. The security guard followed me out the store telling me to not come back. She started recording me as I walked away, I yelled to her that I was definitely going to report her behavior as this is unacceptable. I am a paying customer who felt completely harassed. As part her of police or rules working at the CVs, I'm sure she was not supposed to be following into each aisle trying to intimidate me. Also I'm sure following me outside the store shouldn't be allowed. I felt endangered and humiliated in the eyes of the public. I expect this will be handled before I take legal matters into my hands. The only reason I happened upon it is that it is in the same building as the hotel I was staying at. Being so, it does not have direct access to the hotel (at least not that I seen) and you need to exit the hotel and walk around the corner to enter. I came in here for some drinks, snacks and hygiene products. It was not my intentions to stay the night in the DC area, but this made it easier to get what I did need for a one night stay. It feels like a narrow store, and it is multi-leveled, so be careful and watch your step. Aisles are a tight squeeze and you can be pushed along your way when looking for an item. Checking out is a breeze. Probably the easiest thing to be done in here.
