This was my first time at this CVS location. Most CVS stores are well stocked and have good prices. This CVS has both, AND friendly, efficient employees. I was impressed by the open aisles, and great selection. It's also well lit so these old eyes don't have to strain. During this pandemic, and any time of year to keep people safe, signs remind patrons to keep products sealed - not to open and test. CVS is usually good about taking back products that do not please, so there is no reason to test personal items in the store. Andrew checked me out efficiently, and in his eyes I could see the smile his mask was hiding. He was also friendly & polite. The store has lots of parking, and is easy to get into off off Bruce B. Downs. Getting out to go south might be a little tricky, but it's doable! read more

Worst pharmacy I've ever been to, I should have checked the reviews before using them. They won't fill prescriptions, are always out (no one else is), they have said they were working on a prescription to then say they no longer had it/it was not sent in. When I went in, they said it WAS in the system and they don't know why it wasn't filled. They will just straight up lie to you in order to avoid doing their jobs. A truly deplorable experience that is not duplicated at other nearby CVS stores. Do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else. read more

i made an early appointment for myself and my daughter to get flu shots. we arrived and then found out that they dont take blue cross. we woke up early on xmas eve to fight traffic for no reason. when we were walking out we recieved a text informing us that they dont take bcbs. seriously? what a pathetic company. read more

Saw Tara Jones nurse practitioner today, she went to take my vitals and literally jabbed the ear thermometer in my ear and had nerve to ask me if my ear was in pain because I moved away and I said No you jabbed that thing in my ear, no apology and she had nerve and did it again!!! I was freakin livid!!! I said what the .... Are u doing? Then she said so u want me to take your temperature in your mouth I said no!! We about done here. I really just needed some meds so I told her lets finish this up and then I told her after she told me it seems like sinus i fection that I usually get Bromfed for my cough. She said I dont prescribe that because of the side affects! I said really?? I said you can see in my records I get I have never had any side affects frm this medicine and infact all these other medicines that get prescribed have side affects so what is really going on?? She was shaking her head and twitchin in her seat just acting so unprofessional and eventually we ended my visit, which was okay with me because she needed to go home the way she was being toward me! The pharmacy is too busy and short-staffed; they screwed up my prescription two times and then when they finally got it right, I received a notice that it was out of stock and to check back in two business days (after my prescription ran out). One of of staff was very rude on the phone, extremely condescending. I transferred the script to the Commerce Dr CVS, they filled it within a couple of hours. This CVS location is consistent with poor service. Whether it's employees being short with answers to questions or just ignoring customers. Had a COVID appointment that I took off work for. Waited in the Pharmacy line. Get to the window to check in and was told to sit and wait for someone to administer the vaccine. Waited 30 mins. No one acknowledged or came to talk to me. I left. Tara Jones works inside the minute clinic and refused to see me despite the fact I have an ear infection. I called to let them know I was late and she continued to not only approach me in a disrespectful and passive manner but she refused treatment. It's baffling that I called and confirmed to come so I drive 15 minutes to get there and I'm refused. This woman should not be working anywhere near a doctors office. I am in extreme pain from my ears needing to be cleaned and this "doctor" or "practitioner" completely disregarded her own oath. read more

I was very impressed with this CVS. I needed vacation refills. They handled everything, on-line with my MO CVS, new prescription by doctor and contact with my insurance company. I couldn't ask for more. That wasn't all! Their drive-thru was efficient and quick to handle my refills. (I had a basis of comparison with my partner's nearby Walgreens where we drove away twice as the window line didn't move, at least 5 cars deep and slow!) read more

Oh hey, my 317th review on 3/17!! Fate right? Well, here it goes..this is a busy location on the corner of Bruce B Downs and SR56, but the staff does a great job of keeping lines moving. This has been my stop for prescriptions for years because the pharmacy department is extremely competent and the drive-thru line normally moves fast. While you may wait a bit in line, the pharmacists are very friendly and work hard to fulfill your order. The store itself is well stocked and very clean. It's a CVS. And like most CVS's, they have a bunch of stuff that you will likely need at some point or another. The nice thing about going to CVS is that they are consistent. If you'be been to one, you've been to them all. The not as nice thing about writing a review about CVS is that they are all the same so there isn't much to say about them. That being the case, I will leave you with these two things that stand out for me when I come in here. When you walk in the door, the person behind the register at the front of the store ALWAYS says hello and welcomes you to the store. It's a nice touch. You don't usually get that at other CVS's. The other thing is that the receipts when you buy one item are so obnoxiously long you can actually hear the people in the stock room chopping down trees to accommodate the next person in line. They really need to do something about that. It's unnecessary! That's all I got!! read more

Customer service at this specific 'pharmacy' location is bottom of the barrel. I'm not sure if it's that they're underpaid, overworked or simply short staffed. Pharmacy staff is unprofessional in person and over the phone. All of them seem so unhappy with the positions they applied for, it comes across crystal clear through their customer service. I strongly believe that if you despise your job and you are not enjoying what "You have chosen" to do for a career, it's time to make a career change. read more

I normally get my prescriptions filled here. However, they had my prescription in their system for over a week. On the day it was supposed to be filled, they called to say they had to order the medication and it wouldn't be in for a week.why didn't they do this when my prescription came in? This is an extremely important prescription. They were no help finding another CVS that would have it in stock. read more

Sooo, I usually go here for my urgent care needs at the Minute Clinic. I never have a super great feeling about it but go. I went twice this week. First time I had the flu. The second time was a follow up as I was not feelIng better. She said I had a sinus infection (although I really had a symptoms) gave me a prescription and sent me on my way. Ended up going to another walk in clinic as I was still not feeling better. Turns out I definitely don't have a sinus infection on but have pneumonia. I feel like the quality of the nurse practitioners are nowhere close up to par as they should be. I won't be returning ever again as my health is way to important. Side note, on my way to my car at 10:30 am the guy in the car next to me was masturbating in a crowded parking lot with the windows down. I couldn't get out of there fast enough as I wasn't sure what he was going to o do since I caught him in the act. I did call the police when I got home and they informed me this CVS does not have cameras on the side of building. Uhh you might want to look into thIs. And maybe have someone monitor the parking lot every hour or so. This is behavior of someone who has done this before. I do want to say this incident was not In the fault of CVS, but a heads up to keep an eye out for the safety of your customers. read more

Aaliyah in the pharmacy is the best! I had tried to fill a prescription at Walgreens, only to be told they were closing soon and couldn't help me. I went to CVS and Aaliyah did everything she could to help me as quickly as possible. She was really friendly, and displayed genuine concern for how I was feeling. Despite feeling like I'd been hit by a bus, I left the store smiling and feeling better (at least emotionally) than I did when I entered the store. I will never fill another prescription at Walgreens again. read more

i made an appointment to get a vaccine. the called me immediately to tell me they were unable to do it. i missed the call and they left a message giving me the phone number to return their call. the number gave me no option to talk to a human and was unable to get in touch with the person who called. their system is unreliable and not user friendly. read more

Awful!! Had my 12 year old daughter in the chair ready for covid-19 vaccination and was turned away by the pharmacist. The nurse already had the syringe drawn. The FDA, the CDC and the CVS website all say that 12+ are now eligible. I even called the store before coming to verify. My daughter is on crutches so this was not an easy trek. Do not use this minute clinic. I went to this clinic in 2016 and my federal blue cross blue shied covered the visit in full. I went in 2019, when I made the appointment I gave my insurance information. I am now being billed for the visit because this clinic is no longer a preferred provider on my plan. I'm glad they're not rude, but they really don't get workflow. My md called in an rx 30 minutes ago, I called the store twice n they said they never received an rx. I went to my dr office and they said they did call it in and called this cvs to get a name of the person they spoke to. Now I'm here at cvs and it's still not typed :/ wompp... I'm pretty sure me waiting in the waiting area won't help, they'll prob forget to call out the waiters like they did a month ago with a relative of mine. Very high volume pharmacy. I feel bad for the staff. I have had a couple of communication issues (on my Docs side) and the pharmacy is patient in explaining steps that need to be taken to resolve issues. There are times when I think they could have done some of the leg work, but think they don't because of volume. Overall, nice staff, good location and consistent with what you would expect from the CVS brand. read more

Aetna/CVS has some serious issues filling prescriptions due staff cuts and overworking their staff. In my opinion, the possibility of prescriptions being mis-filled is a real risk! After having issues of having my wife's prescriptions at the CVS at 8809 New Tampa Blvd (see related review with additional details), I was sent to this store near the Wire Grass Mall. Once there, I was told that it would take them 3 days to fill my wife's prescriptions. After telling them my wife's doctor prescribed the prescriptions to be started today, one for diabetes testing, and another for prednisone for an allergic reaction, the store acquiesed and agreed to filled the prescription, but it would take an hour. While waiting for the prescriptions to be filled, I found out the reason the store was 3 days behind in filling prescriptions was that Aetna/CVS had cut their staff by 50%, and people were working extended hours to try to catch up. Historically, CVS has had issue with mis-filled prescriptions. It seems to me that the risk of this reoccurring is increased as a result of the staff cuts at this store and various others in the area. Consequently, I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO CVS TO FILL PRESCRIPTIONS! read more
