This location has changed stores so many times throughout the years but CVS has been here for so long. I only stop here out of convenience in passing due to another location being closer to my parents' house. I do like this location for the lack of people traffic. They have a parking lot across the street, with plenty of spots available. There is also street parking available. I have specifically shopped at this location sometimes due to items being in stock here. I usually find what I need at this location. I have not interacted with staff due to not needing any assistance and using the self checkout. The store feels smaller than many CVS locations but stocked well enough. The store is usually neat, stocked, and clean. The only times I have visited when there was any kind of mess was close to Christmas, when people panic shop. read more

The 5 stars are for the EXCELLENT customer service from Arlene! I had difficulty getting credit for a $4 CVS coupon at the self service checkout. Arlene came over and had difficulty also with both of the self service checkout kiosks. But she didn't give up or lose her cool and was able to check out my order with the coupon at the register. I know retail work is often stressful and annoying. So, Thank You Arlene for cheerfully persevering! Very glad you were on duty that day. read more

A basic CVS store in flushing that is not 24/7 but just pick up what you need before 10pm and you will be ok. Pharmacy in the back , basic CVS stuff and a few items on sale that I can use .Clean and organized with well stocked shelves and workers who actually work .Got a few goodies and got on line and was a quick visit .3 stars is good enough and maybe will add another star on my next visit in a few hours when my cuz is finishing his job nearby . read more

Sour! Wow, all the reviewers are right on here. There are some extremely sour staff here from top to bottom. CVS is known for selecting coupons on the CVS account at the register and my having to say that the coupon is on the card to a CVS cashier is pretty absurd. That comment just says I don't want to spend 2 seconds looking at the screen right next to your face. This is with no line behind me at all and essentially 2-3 other customers in the entire store! I stopped in to pick up a few rapid Covid tests. They're now covered by insurance, for reimbursement by mine. I walked in and asked the clerk in the front and he said they were behind the counter. They had three different types. I had previously used the flow flex, (94% accuracy rate) and opted for those. Took daughter for booster shot after school. Not a long wait. Not sure if the person administering the booster was a medical professional but he did not bother wearing gloves. It didn't even occur to me until it was over. Kicking myself for not saying anything sooner but it literally did not even occur to me that at this current state of health awareness, that gloves weren't even considered. Be alert (unlike me.) Cvs locking front door at 9:25 pm when closing time is 10 pm. disgraceful way to do business. Only one other customer was inside the store also. Not like a huge amount of customers to check out. This is just so unprofessional for a big chain store to do. When I questioned this , The young man said " I let you in didn't I ? when I knocked and he unlocked the door, I said the door should be open the store doesn't close for another half hour. I been going to this CVS pharmacy exact 1 year & 6 months but now I wont be going there since I moved. As soon as you walk in to CVS the workers at the register greet you saying welcome to CVS. All the workers are nice, respectful, they do their job, and one of the guy there said if I ever needed help just call him and he's willing to help me. This CVS was the best experience I ever had for past 1 year & 6 months. I recommend this place to anyone if they ever live around the Whitestone area but you should guys should check what you're buying. Why not five stars? Why only four stars? Well that's because most of the time I go there i couldn't find the thing I'm looking for or something they went out of stock. Because of that I gotta go all the way to rite aid to get stuff. They should put more in stock so that other people could get it too. The place is not well organized. Some of the nail polish products are old and they still sell it for higher price. I've been to many CVS's around New York, some are good some are bad but this one particular CVS is by far the worst CVS I've ever been in. Service is horrible, employee's are rude and disrespectful, the shelfs are always half empty and the place looks dirty. There is one particularly rude employee who works at the front desk at the pharmacy, his name on the receipt is Zurus, not only is he rude and condescending but seems to have anger issues. This person has gotten a little scary with his anger towards me and my wife on separate occasions. I've complained to corporate and store management several times about all of these issues at this store and all I get is lip service. So if you can, avoid this location at all costs. read more

THE WORST PHARMACY EVER! I am unable to reach a pharmacist by phone with questions about my prescription. I have called FOUR times, worked my way through the automated system to be put on hold for at least 10 minutes each time and then get disconnected. Picking up a prescription is an all day affair and maybe, just maybe, they get it right (either the medication or the copay...rarely both). It's too bad that I have to use them because of my insurance. P.S.- The only worse pharmacy is the Duane Reade in the Bay Terrace shopping center. read more

I am a customer of cvs pharmacy trying to renew 3 different prescriptions over the phone and was on hold for 50 mins 1 time and 40 mins another time. you can hear them putting you on hold. this is how customers are getting treated when you call just to re new prescriptions! now I have to physically go down there to get some answers. read more

All I can is go somewhere else. Pharmacy is not helpful. It is like we are bothering them. I have questions sometimes about blood pressure and diabetic meds/and or machines. NO ONE HELPS. Longest wait times for someone to answer the phone in pharmacy. I actually used my friends phone while on hold already for 35 minutes to get the front of the store to ask if they were even working in pharmacy. Extremely OVER PRICED ON EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO PURCHASE THERE. Ripoff. From shampoo to vitamins to batteries or milk OVERPRICED nonsense. I get the same things at Walmart and Target dollars cheaper. Not cents cheaper/dollars cheaper. Only good thing the manager is the nicest most help gentleman, and always smiles. To bad I will not see him again as I will not return unless necessary. The pharmacy cashiers have major attitude problems there. Especially that old asian guy. He's always rude to me and acts like he own the whole store. He hates it when you use coupons or tries to buy non pharmacy items with your medications. He purposely didn't approve a $4 off coupon on my Claritin-D eventhough I had it in my app and it was also advertised on the CVS weekly flyer. He should find a new job were his nastiness could be more useful instead of harassing customers. The only reason I'm giving them 2 Stars is because the regular non pharmacy CVS workers there are actually very friendly. They actually have great customer service skills. read more

The pharmacist is mean, full of attitude and they have for the second month in a row have made mistakes on my prescriptions. They have no empathy for the fact that people need their meds timely. This CVS, has been by far the absolute worst experience regarding customer service and interaction. I honestly have never experienced customer service reps that are as mean and condescending as the ones staffed at this location. The sense I get, is that they view everyone as stupid people wasting their time and of little value. There is a severe lack of respect, courtesy and professionalism with the way the employees treat customers. Customers are spoken to with impatience and distain. To make matters worse, there is absolutely no leadership in the management. The female employee named "Jewel" was more than rude. She cut off my sentences, and snaps answers that are irrelevant being that she didn't listen to my question. In addition, when i tried to ask the actual question, she was so impatient and rude, I just decided to let it go and get my answers elsewhere. (Calling Walgreens worked). In the end, I decided that she is simply unqualified for the job she has, thanked her and left. It is mind boggling that the customer, in my case me, had to treat the store representative, Jewel, with a reversed concept of "customer service". It's as if my buying something resulted in me owing her. It was as if she was barely tolerating my presence and buying from CVS was her doing me a favor that I was not worthy of. It was a disgrace. If anyone looks at most of the recent reviews since 2016, the reviewers are all complaining about mean/horrible customer services here. I am not surprised. Very poor management, poor employees. Jewel, african american worker, knowing that the customer is on line, completely ignores the person and goes on snacking. As she was asking, "do you have a CVS card?" I also was asking her, "Oh I thought this item is the second one half price off." Instead of explaining to me that it doesn't come up on the system unless she puts in the card information, she looks at me as if I am an sort of an idiot and repeat herself with an attitude, "DO YOU HAVE A CVS CARD?" I confronted her about her bad side manner and then she said "I don't have an attitude." instead of apologizing or explaining. Then, she kept on repeating herself, "46 dollars. 46 dollars. 46 dollars." Wow........ I spoke with the manager named George, who was busy joking/fooling around with that particular worker Jule, and he gave me quite an attitude as well. At first, he tried to defend her, then, he repeated himself "I will have to speak with her." probably about 20 times, brushing me off rather than taking in what the customer was complaining about. He finally said, "I am sorry." then, I cordially said, "It's not your fault.". Then, guess what. He almost yelled at me saying "Well, I am a manager here, so I have to apologize!" Basically saying that he doesn't believe what I was saying but he was doing so only because he had to. ...... ......... ............ I couldn't believe what was happening and I just decided to turn around. I came back home and read all these reviews and decided to take it further. I have been to CVS stores in bayside, Queens Village, Long Island and never experienced this horrific customer service. Not to mention thet, about 2 moths ago, the technician (not even the pharmacist) refused to fill up my vitamin D prescription because it was an over-the-counter medicine. I wanted to get it from the pharmacy because the dosage on prescription was specified, but the technician's exact word was, "Well, I am not filling it up." Later on, I spoke with the manager (the same guy George), and his reasoning was the pharmacy is really busy. (Really? The store is always empty whenever I walk in.) I didn't know that being busy gives the pharmacy a justification/rights to refuse fill up the prescription. If it was a controlled substance it is completely understandable that the pharmacy trys to be careful, but in this case, they were just lazy and didn't want to work. Though, I have to say that George did handle the situation better at that time, probably because my husband who is american born was speaking to him. Apparently, he is not good at being cordial/proper to an Aisan female with a slight accent in her English. Very disappointing. Never going back to this location, however, I will definitely take this matter further to address it. I am surprised that these unprofessional/poorly mannered people are able to hold their jobs despite the amount of complaints they are receiving from customers. Well, hopefully it will be addressed. In addition, I would like to encourage people who had sour experiences at this location to share their opinions, as well. Those multiple bad reviews on this page says it all. Based on that, it makes me believe that there are many more people who walked out of this store with sour taste in their mouth, but didn't share their experiences. It surely is an uncomfortable act to the unpleasant moments and leave bad review, and some may feel that they are retaliating, however, by doing that, I believe we are really helping to keep this community as a cordial environment with a little effort. This pharmacy is literally the worst. The pharmacy technicians never know what the hell they're doing. The pharmacist refuses to come speak to you if there is an issue with a prescription. They never know when or if my prescription is ready. They always put the wrong insurance in for me even though I have had the same exact insurance for my entire life. They also insist on seeing my license every single time I get a prescription no matter what it is. Made the mistake of using them for my past three doctors visits and will be definitely switching back to Harpell, where I never have any issues. One star for the one sweet girl who rings me up. Other than that the whole staff sucks. This is a problem with all CVS pharmacies, but especially with this one. read more

I needed my antibiotic delivered. I went to the website which, all of a sudden, does not know me or my history. So I called, and was put on "hold" for 25 minutes. Finally, Yesenia answered and said they do not deliver. When I mentioned the claim on their phone recording and website stating that they DO deliver, she said she could sent it by U.S. mail and that I would have it in two business days. That isn't the ideal wait time for an antibiotic, but I said yes. With my pre-existing conditions, I could not safely go to pick up the medicine. In four business days, it still did not come. I called again, again holding for an interminable period (but okay--these are difficult times), and Yesenia denied any knowledge of my previous call! She did say she would sent it out U.S. mail, and that it would take 2 business days. Now there is a weekend in the mix, so it was 9 days AFTER my doctor called in the prescription that I received it. Not good for someone who is very sick. My insurance requires that I use CVS, so I had to call again (same nonsense). This time Georgia (Jorja?) assured me that I would have my (other) prescription in two business days. Three business days have passed, and NO MEDICATION HAS ARRIVED. This incompetence is stunning. If increased volume is the problem, say so, and I will call elsewhere for my prescriptions no matter the cost (if I am able). But don't lie and say you don't recall a phone call or that it will be mailed that day. I will change my pharmacy asap. read more

This is a great cvs...it's the only one I go to. Everyone is helpful, and their weekly ads always has savings.

The staff here is extremely helpful and know where everything is. It makes up for CVS not stocking them with the advertised items.

This CVS has courteous staff and its own parking lot. The pharmacy staff is knowledgeable and efficient.

All the staff members are nice and helpful except for the manager Vicki. She's rude, has a major attitude problem she needs to check herself on and she makes mistakes not owning up to it by lying so she thinks that will solve the problem. No life sometimes doesn't work that way. It's a shame she's the manager too she needs to start at the bottom again to understand what customer service means and hopefully she does. read more

One star because of my experience here last Friday. I went to pick up my medication that my eye doctor had faxed over. When I arrived, I spoke to BIANCA who was behind the counter of the pharmacy. First she told me there was no prescription sent over and once she decided to actually check she proceeded to ask me if I would like to pay the $1,000 out of pocket when I have insurance because "my insurance did not cover it" (RIDICULOUS TO EVEN ASK) for eyedrops. She then told me to call my insurance and ask them why they were not covering it instead of placing the call herself in order to speed up the wait time/process. I then called my insurance, where I spoke to a representative who told me it WAS fully covered. Aside from me wasting an hour of my time on the phone with my insurance she was extremely rude. When inquiring about the status of my medication after such a long wait she proceeded to help other customers who arrived after me. When I told her that I had been waiting first her response was "I've helped you enough". When I responded she threw her hands up in the air, dismissing me, as if I was one of her friends that she was in an argument with which was extremely distasteful as well as disrespectful considering. She was also responding "WHATEVER WHATEVER YOU SAY", seriously? This store should have chosen a better employ I can only imagine what she must do to the elderly and frail patients the way she treated me. Aside from her wasting my time and being disrespectful. In addition to this, she encouraged conflict as a customer began to argue with me because she made it seem as if I was trying to distract her away from helping her customer that should have been assisted after I was gone to say the least. Spoke to the store manager about this (Very Friendly) listened to my concerns and made sure she was addressed re: this issue. Bianca was unapologetic , rude, and unprofessional. Love all the crew at the pharmacy department. They treat me as if I'm very important and are always going above and beyond to get my meds or my kids meds filled within 10-15 mins. They are always on it when I run out if refills and they are quick to call the doctor to resolve any issues. Although they are very busy at times they still manage to make you feel as if you're their top priority. That's that makes this place stand out for me. I've experienced their teamwork to get thing done and they always help one another out. it seems like a family environment and it reflects in the customer service. It's truly outstanding. This is one of the better CVS in Queens that I've been to. They actually have their sales item in stock! It's not crazy busy/crowded and the people working at the cash registers are very knowledgeable. I have been to a CVS where the cashiers didn't know what they were doing.
