1/2 pound rainbow cookies and Homemade Tiramisu Cake
    Christopher N.

Popped in while I was on a walk, was immediately impressed by the dessert cases. I'm a sucker for anything rainbow cookie! However it also makes me a tough critic and I'm always looking for my new favorite. Tutto Calcio didn't take my top spot, but I still really enjoyed what I tried. The tiramisu exceeded my expectations. Nice coffee flavor and perfectly sweet. The rainbow cookies are a little irregular and on the cakier side whereas I like mine a little denser. I put them in the fridge and liked them more chilled! This bakery seemed like a favored local hangout. Service was casually paced but it's clear they know their customers and have a presence in the neighborhood. I'll be back to try some more desserts and maybe some savory food too!

Friends of ours brought bombolone from Tutto Calcio. My review is based strictly off that. 5 stars, top notch dessert. Lots of flavor especially in the Nutella bombolone. Would love to visit and get the full experience.

What a great find, we found this spot because we were craving Acai and then noticed this spot in between the stores. We tried their ice cream and it was delicious, the service was super fast and amicable. The ambiance is spacious and big so you stop by for dinner or lunch with your family!

I got a vegetable panini and a double latte. The latte was delicious and rich. The paninis came out quickly and was the perfect size for lunch. Service was great. Decor lives up to the name.

My girlfriend sent me a post for a rainbow cookie milkshake on Instagram and after taking one sip it was clear to me that she is the one. Absolutely incredible in every way. Literally tasted like a liquified rainbow cookie, and the sliced cookie on the top was an amazing touch. One of the best shakes I've ever had in my life. Incredible and definitely worth coming back for!

Tutto Calcio is a cute shop tucked away in Whitestone that has a great staff and interior- shout out to all the real football (ie not American football lol) players that they have up on the walls, super cool concept. However, their items are very much a hit or miss. The coffee and the lobster tails lacked flavor and weren't really great at all. However, the bombolinis were as good as they looked and were absolutely fantastic. Basically, you can either go really wrong or really right in this place and it's up to you to find out!

This is an expresso bar in Whitestone with amazing Italian pastries. Cakes to order too! The place is large, light and airy place with several table to for small gathers or large group of friends to handout. parties are possible. The cannoli cream is superb! They also have a menu for regular food for lunch or snaking too. Typically one can order at the counter and the item can be brought to you or you pick it up yourself.

Let me start by saying that you will probably leave with more than you anticipated buying. This café has such an interesting story. Starting as a place where you could enjoy soccer, simply turned into a wonderful bakery café that has delectable delicacies and many savory choices. If you are a fan of rainbow cookies, I suggest you treat yourself to a rainbow cookie slice, it was amazing . I have to say that everything that I purchased was exceptionally good. They also feature pumpkins a police and you can pick up Bombas - Italian donuts with so many fillings . I tried the pistachio filling, and was not disappointed. I would assume the Nutella filling ones are the most popular. You can also purchase Gelato and pizza! Dinner/dessert in one stop . The café has a really nice sit down table set up .

Tutto Calcio means Everything Football (Soccer to us Yanks), but that's not everything this place does. Although they have some outstanding looking meals, sandwiches and pizza my focus is usually on their outstanding pastries and sweet treats. The cornetto (Italian term for Croissant) are flaky and delicious - especially when they are generously (and I mean generous - these things absolutely nearly exploded with delicious filling) with creamy custards, cannoli cream, or citrus tinged berry preserves which are decadent and worth the caloric price of admission. Their Bombolini - plump little donut spheres filled with various deliciousness as well. These donuts along with their twists have a certain density to the dough and flavor that reminds me of zeppole, but elevated. The cannoli, cartoccio (the plumper cousin of the cannoli) and sfogliatelle are on the money. I haven't tried everything this place offers, but from my experience its all outstanding and certainly puts this place as one of the top Italian bakeries in NYC. They serve real meals here (Giovanna's Kitchen) along with pizza and sandwiches but I confess I have yet to try. Of course perfectly made espresso and other coffee drinks are available. Gelato is available as well. The attractive staff are always so friendly and helpful. Along with the bright colorful interior it always makes me feel really happy coming inside. You should as well - I believe you will feel the same!

It was so nice out today while visiting some fam in Whitestone - so I came here for some gelato & YUM! Staff is super friendly! Clean environment all together! You walk in & BOOM there's a display of yummy desserts! As you go towards the back, there's food & on the other end, there's another placement of desserts & gelato! Side note - Coffee is also always GREAT & STRONG (which I loveeee) I believe it's imported! The gelato had plenty of flavors to choose from (hazelnut, chocolate, Oreo, vanilla, pistachio, strawberry, etc). Comes in 2 sizes - small or large! I got a large with a scoop of pistachio & a scoop of strawberry! SO TASTY! Hit the spot!!! Prices are totally reasonable as well (for 2 large & 1 small I believe I paid around $17!!!) def a must if you're in town!

First, I highly recommend reservations, especially for peak times. The restaurant was packed on a Friday evening around 7pm and thankfully, the host squeezed us in but it took some time for her to figure out if she could even accommodate us. For a beautiful atmosphere, celebration or special occasion, this restaurant is a great choice. If you're only going for the food, I don't think it's worth it. Italian food is delicious but I believe there are better restaurants elsewhere. However, the food will satisfy you and you won't leave hungry. The portions are enormous so you're definitely getting value. We were disappointed in the truffle fries, which were soggy and I think breaded, which is unusual. The Caesar salad was delicious, as was the pizza. Otherwise, the food was average. Again, if you're celebrating something special, I think this restaurant would be great. The two seater table at the end of the dock would be absolutely amazing for a proposal or intimate dinner for two.

Since it was a beautiful sunny day that was not humid or hot so we sat outdoor to take in the scenery of people walking by. The service was good even though our waiter got slammed with tables and it appeared he was the only server but the other workers helped him out, TRUE TEAMWORK! Eddie was knowledgeable of the menu and provided great recommendations. I decided on the branzino, shrimp, garlicky spinach and Florentine cauliflower. My mom was excited to order the chicken parmigana with spaghetti and a Caesar salad. And yes, she partook in eating both of my veggies. Each and every dish exquisitely flavorful and delicious. Although my tummy was satisfied my tastebuds craved dessert. In comes the Coconut Pana Cotta. Paradise in a small half coconut dish. The Thai coconut milk, honey, mint and summer mixed fruit had me in a dreamy haze of splendor. One of the best restaurant desserts I have ever eaten. Kudos to the dessert chef. Highly recommend. We support so many local places that sometimes we overlook a visit, but every time we remember to come back, we're reminded of exactly why they've been around for so many years. The first thing that keeps people coming back is the hospitality. The service is always so warm, welcoming, and attentive. They're also incredibly accommodating and are always willing to prepare dishes to the diner's liking. You can tell that there's a real sense of familiarity here, too. Over the years, many of the same staff members have continued working here. I don't know everyone's name, but I definitely recognize familiar faces visit after visit, which makes the experience feel even more special. On this visit, we had a special with prosciutto, fontina cheese, and sage pork chops. The pork chops came with mashed potatoes, but we decided to skip them since there was already so much food. We also had cappellini with garlic, an arugula salad, and an assortment of hot antipasto appetizers. My favorite on this platter is the eggplant rollatini, it's so good. I did notice that the shrimp in the antipasto were a little different from what I remember having here years ago, but it wasn't really a bother. There was so much food overall that there was plenty to enjoy. It's always nice to return to a place that has been part of the local community for so long and be reminded of why people continue to come back.

A huge plus is the paid parking lot around the corner with an exit onto 150th St, just a few doors down from the restaurant. Anyone familiar with the area knows street parking can be challenging , so that definitely made things easier. I came here to celebrate a dear friend's milestone birthday, and since she loves Italian food, this was her pick. We started by sharing the fried calamari, which was nicely fried and included both rings and tentacles. Neither of us eat the tentacles, so we pushed those aside. The calamari comes with a choice of mild, medium, or spicy tomato sauce -- we chose medium -- though honestly, I'm happy with just a squeeze of lemon on fried calamari. Each entrée comes with a choice of side dishes, and you can also upgrade both the pasta and sauce options. My friend ordered the Chicken Sorrentino, topped with prosciutto, eggplant, roasted peppers, and melted mozzarella over chicken cutlets. For her side, she upgraded to gnocchi and then upgraded again to Bolognese sauce. I had the Chicken Marsala, which was tender and juicy. Both dishes came with two thin cutlets each, but between the bread, garlic knots, and calamari, we only managed to eat one cutlet apiece and took the rest home. The Marsala sauce was flavorful and tasty. I personally would've loved more mushrooms, but overall it was still very good. I chose roasted potatoes on the side, and from the one bite I managed before getting too full, they were delicious. If you're in the neighborhood -- or even nearby -- this place is definitely worth trying. One thing to note: they only serve beer and wine, no full liquor bar. My Pinot Grigio was decent, and my friend enjoyed a light beer with her meal.

Angela, who was both our server and the manager, was wonderful, friendly, attentive, and made our dining experience very pleasant. For dinner, I ordered the Cod Oreganata with a side of roasted potatoes. The cod was very good, but unfortunately the potatoes were undercooked and quite hard. My friend had the escarole and bean soup along with Mom's Famous Meatball, and both were absolutely delicious. The fresh bread with the tomato spread was a standout, and I even made my own little olive oil dip with salt and pepper (although I couldn't help wishing there was some balsamic vinegar to go with it!). The only hiccup came at the end of the meal. A staff member who was trying to help accidentally picked up our check, even though he wasn't our server. This created some confusion with our cash and credit card payments. We later learned that he is deaf/hard of hearing, and it was clear he was simply trying to assist.
