Visited the pharmacy on late Thursday afternoon ~3:30pm for a walk-in flu shot (Fall 2020). Contrast to my past experiences at the pharmacy section in each Walgreens and Rite-Aid along the South-Eastern part of Montebello, I had a quick and overall pleasant experience. I was greeted by Cierra, who was quick to help me. I explained to her that I wanted to check if my insurance covered the annual flu shot. Within a minute or so of sharing my date of birth, she confirmed that I was in fact covered and completed my COVID screening after which she directed me towards the booth on the left side of the pharmacy set up specifically to administer flu shots. I give bonus points to Cierra for proudly embodying Spooky Season 2020 despite the tough year so far, fit in her orange and black hair clips as well as a candy corn mask! Following my my pleasant interaction with Cierra, I was enthusiastically greeted by the pharmacist Kathy. Despite such a long day at work, her energy was uplifting, and really calmed the nerves (I hate needles). She talked me through the whole process, and was kind enough to fill out my immunization card which I needed as proof for work. Overall, pharmacy here at this CVS location appears to be doing excellent as I was in and out with a flu shot in under 15 minutes without an appointment. I will say however, that I may have been a bit lucky with my timing as upon exiting the flu shot booth there were 4-5 customers lined up at the pharmacy. read more

Corporate CVS for the pharmacy obviously doesn't believe in any type of customer service. Cutting staff, cutting hours for the pharmacy and that stupid call tree and the only option to speak with the pharmacy is voicemail. Customer service is long gone!!! read more

I was in line before closing at 8, when it becomes my turn the lady looks at the time and sees that it's exactly 8:00 and says she won't serve me. I hope that all the pharmacists feel guilty that a depressed woman won't have her anti-depression medication for another night. read more

I always love how the staff is super friendly and inviting. The store has lots of merchandise to pick what you need for the most part . The few times I have gone to the pharmacy they have been super kind and helpful. They are very knowledgeable about helping you and addressing your personal needs. read more

Don't even bother coming in here. I came to this location to reload money to my college account & they couldn't reload money because they didn't know how to work their system. I never get issues uploading money to my account with my passport. They looked at me like if I was doing fraud? Could be a race thing them being races giving me a hard time? I had a prescription filled there the other day and I suspected that the usage instructions were incorrect. I called my doctor to verify and it was incorrect. When I called the pharmacy to notify them of the mistake, that said Oh that was a mistake, people make mistakes. First time coming to this location for the pharmacy. Backstory: My original CVS didn't have the medicine to fill a prescription that was supposed to be ready two days prior. They didn't notify me so when I went to check on it at my other CVS, they said they've been out and unsure when they would get more. The worker suggested that I go to a nearby CVS that should have the medication in stock. So I took my chances at this CVS off Via Campo. The Pharmacist helped me out quickly, and there was no wait. She was able to transfer my prescription and fill it on the spot. I was told that it would be a 15 minute wait and they would announce when it's ready to be picked up. It only took about 5 minutes for them to fill the prescription. I was in and out of there so quick. I'm glad that CVS offers the option to transfer prescriptions over to other locations when they're out and I was happy with my experience at this location. read more

I am very impressed with the pharmacist and the pharmacy service at this CVS. I had to collect prescriptions for my parent who is not able to leave her home. The prescriptions that were filled were not entirely covered by my parent's insurance and were very expensive. I appreciated that the pharmacist took the time to contact the urgent care physician to ask if there was an alternative medication that was available and that was covered by the health insurance on file. Pharmacists are very busy professionals, particularly during our current pandemic. I can only imagine how stressful their jobs are. I appreciate that CVS and it's staff is staying strong and helping us get through this pandemic together. read more

This is a shoutout to the Sales Associate Ryan at the cash register today Friday at about 1 pm. Went there to use my 40 percent discount. Ryan explained to me how it worked, because I was worried it would take 40 percent off the cheapest item instead of the expensive one. Happily, he explained I didn't have to make separate transactions, and that the discount would be taken off the costlier item if that item wasn't on sale. So he checked it, to give me an option just in case the three items were on sale...they weren't. Thanks Ryan for the terrific customer service at the register...you represented CVS and made me feel like a valued customer. Way to go!!! read more

Ok this was a shocking visit! I've NEVER been to an "y mas" location. Walked in and found what I needed after visiting 5 cvs locations. Thanks to Julie for helping us out and explaining to us why this place was called "y mas" she went above and beyond and showed me where to get what I needed and at check out she even was patient with me when I was asking about the coupons. She is a real good employee. Best I've seen at any cvs! Give this lady a promotion and a raise because she is a one of a kind for sure! This is one of the better CVS pharmacies I've been to, and I've been to quite a few. The pharmacy is usually pretty busy during the day but they can usually get your medicine ready in 15 minutes and will call your name over the PA system when it's ready, so you can shop around while you wait. This one isn't open 24 hours like some other CVS pharmacies and there's also no drive-thru window that you can abuse. Most of the people who work there are really friendly and helpful, and they usually look really busy but most will go out of their way to help you look for some over-the-counter product. There's also lots of good deals and sales going on if you use your ExtraCare card... it's kinda like a Ralph's card or Vons card. And if you use it, you can get lots of coupons and extra bucks at the end of your receipt that you can use for next time! The one sucky part about this CVS is you can't really use the bathroom freely. There's an alarm and locks on it so you have to ask one of the workers to open it for you which is kind of a pain in the butt. read more

Walked towards Pharmacy and were close. I asked an associate I had an appointment at 2:15 and told me there at lunch & just walked away. So rude!! I use to work in retail and customer service. Pharmacist is not only rude and inpatient with an elderly person but has poor choice when explaining what the elderly man should do. I am saddened to see how healthcare providers treat their customers. Treat people with respect and patience because one day, all of us stand in the same line. Not that I've ever had a bad experience at any other CVS in L.A, but, out of all of the ones I go to this one in Montebello, off of Via Campo, the staff is extremely friendly. I almost always feel this warmth from the way the cashiers converse with you. They are not nice for the sake of being nice to a customer.
