This was my 2nd visit to this urgent care clinic. The first time was good. This time - not so much…read more Long story short, I ended up testing positive for Covid. The doctor or nurse practitioner - whatever she is - last name Weaver - came into the room and after I said hello she responded with "you have Covid" in a monotone voice. No warmth, compassion or kindness. She told me she was sending 2 prescriptions to my pharmacy. Didn't tell me what they were or how to use them. Then she told me she would be sending me an email of something - I couldn't understand her mumbling under the mask, but I never received it. Didn't offer remedies to help me feel better. No discharge instructions. Nothing. As if I didn't feel bad enough - physically and emotionally about having Covid, this woman made me feel pretty shitty. I can't recommend this place anymore. I certainly won't be returning. I'm giving them 1 star because the front desk people and the tech that took my vitals and administered my tests were all friendly.

They make you feel welcome which I think is nice as usually urgent care centers may come across a bit rude. I have also been able to put my PCP information and they are able to view what occurred on any visit outside of their care, and I really enjoy that because I may not firsthand know what the exact prescription, if provided one.

I thought that your doctor works for you and not the other way around. Then when you finally get there, you had to wait for more than 30 minutes, yet when you're 5-10 minutes late they cancel your appointment and tell you to set up another time which is two months from the day of your appointment. His staff are also unprofessional, the people at McDonalds have a better personality than this person that wears a scrub at the front desk. The only reason why I had chosen this place was Bc it's close to my house, but I think I might just go back to my old doctor in Summerwood, Dr. Castillo is a very good doctor and actually cares about his patients plus his staff are professional and kind. They're about 40 minutes away from Cypress but that's ok I'll drive there if I know I'll get a better service. I am currently sitting here waiting, my appointment is 10:45, it is now 11:13. Any time now??? This is definitely going to be the last time I'll be coming here. If you're needing a family doctor try to find another one that will suit you better. This place surely does not do for me. I hate leaving not so good review but I'm not going to lie to my co-customers.

After this she proceeds to say that we can come back on another day despite knowing the patient have fasted solely for this appointment. She sent us to Quest diagnostics 30 minutes before quest close and when we got there they told us Village Medical got our insurance wrong. Not only did village medical at cypress Rosehill wasted our time because they had us wait for more than 30 minutes in the lobby despite having an appointment, their medical staff did not successfully provide the medical procedure they are required to fulfill. The office is clean-looking & aesthetically pleasing. Front desk receptionist is polite & nice but other than that, their medical staff needs more training because quest diagnostics told us village medical do this a lot, so much so that village medical's account number is already pasted on their desk. We as patients deserve better most especially if they are charging our insurance and we are paying them.

Hard to review fairly as the medical care fine, although there is a tendency to prescribe to solve…read morerather than understand the underlying causes. My real issue is dealing with Village Medical to book, follow up or manage referrals, as it terrible. They have a referral process which seems to involve me doing the work and the automated system sending lots of texts and making calls asking if I've done it and to let them know so they can get an appointment to follow up, rather than chasing the provider they referred to for medical notes, test results, etc. If you call back the team invariably have no idea why you were called, or transfer you to the wrong area, which has happened several times now. The icing on the cake that probably best describes the administration experience is that I received a call and email today (Aug 21st) telling me my appointment on May 8th (3 months ago) was cancelled and to call to reschedule. I have now been on hold for 18 minutes to speak to their Patient Relations Team and about to give up. I would email as suggested but these have never been responded to in the past. I understand that medicine is all about making money in the US but it shouldn't be at the regular expense of my time. To summarize, if you have plenty of spare time to fill then Village Medical is for you.

Shows how much you actually care for people and their health. Shame on you. I've lived in 4 different states and have always been able to make payments on medical bills.

I'm writing this review to express my concerns with my interactions with Dr. M Graham. I picked…read morethis doctor because I am black and I wanted to receive help from a doctor that looked like me. But mins after interacting with her, I started to regret picking a doctor solely off of color due to the cold and annoyed responses I received from Dr. M Graham the entire time. Mind you, I've done this before in other cities and the black doctors have been AMAZING. But the difference with all the other black doctors I went too, they had conversation with me and showed their passion for their job as well as their passion to make sure I'm well. I'm a Program Manager at a health insurance company and my team job is to educate patients about their benefits so they know the importance of following up with their Family Medicine doctor/ Internal Medicine doctor / Primary Care doctor to prevent them from readmitting to the hospital. But when a doctor is cold and makes you feel like you're getting on their nerves, I can see why to this day patients aren't comfortable speaking up for themselves. Doctors and Providers have to do better with creating environments where questions are welcomed because the patient should be invested in their care because that patient is the only one responsible for ensuring they take all the action items needed! I personally did ask all my follow up questions because I know I am in charge of my health and following whatever I need to do for myself. But I did take a few notes to make sure I was able to share with the office manager the interaction I had with this woman as a new patient. I'm leaving two stars solely because the scheduling team was nice and the front desk staff at the Fairfield location was nice and did recommend I see Dr. N Brown the next visit. But do not book with her if ask questions and would like to be sure of the information you received. Do not book an appointment with her if you expect your doctor to be friendly while you interact with them. Do not book with her if you expect to actually feel like the doctor kind of care about the concerns you bring. Do not book with her if you're not okay with someone slapping their hands on the countertop due to your follow up question about your medication. It's sad to say this because all these things in the last paragraph a patient should feel comfortable doing. But I was told that is just her personality so it seems like patients have complained and but it is what it is with her. This is the service you will be paying for.
