Saw Dr. Paul Chin, originally diagnosed as labral tear, did PT and Chiropractic, no improvement. MRI revealed spinal isues, referred to Dr. Edmund Choi. More PT and Chiro and recommended Hemilamenectomy. No improvement, elected for surgery March 2024. Dr. Choi supposedly performed the Hemilamenectomy and pain level reduced for a couple of weeks, then came back worse than ever. Continued PT, Chiro and Aquatic Therapy with no reduction in pain. Even tried another injection. Nothing was improving. I ended up getting another MRI and a 2nd medical consult from a Nuerosurgeon who reviewed multiple MRIs (pre and post op) and questioned me as to what surgery Dr. Choi had performed. My new Nuerosurgeon at Memorial Hermann-Woodlands said there was no evidence of any previous surgery in my spine and we were both shocked. Needless to say, I hired the Neurosurgeon to repair my spine which he skillfully completed in August 2024. I'm now 100% pain free and walking well (no thanks to Sterling Ridge Orthopaedics and espcially Dr. Choi). A couple of positive comments re: SRO - Office staff are excellent. Dr. Beukelman is a great chiropractor. All the PT crew were excellent, especially Aquatics with Kristin! I can not recommend Dr. Edmund Choi and suggest getting a second opinion to ensure adequate care. I spent almost a year in debilitating pain because this doctor couldn't fix the problem. The day of my surgery, I arrived at Inov8 Orthopedics at 6:00a.m by 12 :00 p.m., I was back home, sitting in my bed with my leg elevated and ice on my knee," Less then 1 hour after surgery I was walking on my new knee. I think I was very fortunate to have went to inov8 Orthopedics. They prepared me for the surgery with a class about surgery along with a booklet full of information about my surgery and everything I needed to know before, during and after my TKR. They also answered all my questions and fears They even gave me information about an app online called calm to help me not be so nervous about my upcoming surgery. They told me that if I I let them know the day of surgery that they would play whatever I wanted while I was waiting for surgery to help me relax. They real went out of there way to make sure I was relaxed and comfortable. The day of surgery I was extremely nervous but they were so professional, confident and calming. They were ready for me and it put me at ease. The prep for surgery went very fast and was painless even the first of two nerve blocks. I felt nothing. I think it was about 30 minutes after I went back to be prepped that I was wheeled into the surgery room next thing I know I'm in recovery. my surgery done and they're offering me something to eat and I got up and did some walking. The nerve blocks lasted about 24 hours. I will say it was painful and sore after the nerve blocks wore off but I was given medicine to help with the pain. Almost 2 weeks later I am doing really well. I have very little pain mostly pain when I am in bed at night and my knee gets a little stiff still. That is getting better and better every day. I am now two weeks out walking 4-5 thousand steps a day. Almost at full extension and can bend my knee 90 degrees with no pain. Physical therapy is amazed at how well I'm doing. I had very little bruising and swelling. my knee feels very stable. I am so glad I had my surgery at the inov8 Orthopedics instead of a hospital. They really pay attention to the details. It is a very clean environment and they are extremely careful about people coming in. At a hospital I would've been in with all the sick people with the added risk of getting a infection. I need my left knee replaced also. there was no question about whether or not to have outpatient surgery at inov8 Orthopedics. My experience was phenomenal. They gave me all the tools I needed to be comfortable and successful. The whole staff is truly amazing they all work together so well.

This practice wants large, fast turn-overs now. I have a shoulder with a "mechanical" injury in addition to the arthritis in the shoulder. I pulled these muscles and the result is extremely painful. X-rays were ordered. Fine. Good medical practice. When Dr. Warnock came in he would not listen to what had happened, assumed it was arthritis and ordered physical therapy for arthritic shoulders and that was it. He missed the entire problem. I will never go back. He can rush others through this factory now. I am 8 weeks out and still in tremendous pain. He has made me worried I may come across another physician who simply wants more patients through the mill.

However, I stated to him before the procedure (twice )! already have X-rays and MRI images of my back. I made this aware before my injections. There was no need for the injections. The images I already obtained would have shown surgery could be needed. I asked him to look at the imaging which is why l asked for a second consultation. ****He should have told me this before my injections, not after!**** I feel like I just put a $3000 Band-Aid on my L4 L5 vertebrae. Least they could do is give a refund. Photo attached are my Xray images he deemed unnecessary to look at and his images he showed me as soon as I woke up from being under. This was a scam.
