I received a free class thanks to the Class Pass App. which gives out a free 2-week pass to new members. The app. allows you to book several fitness classes from different gyms and studios. SPIN CLASS (between a 3 and a 4 star rating) -- I visited for an evening class in March 2023. The vibe/energy of the class wasn't as strong as I wanted. While the instructor (Maria Z.) was good, she wasn't too high energy the whole class. The class also started about 4 minutes late. I think if there were more people in the class that I would have had a better experience but there were alot of empty bikes inside which wasn't too encouraging to push myself harder as I biked. I noticed that I wasn't as excited throughout the whole class when I normally am very upbeat for a spin class and I don't think I was tired. It was just the slightly low-energy vibe of the class. There were only about 5 other women in the 6:30pm class (no men). From the number of people who came out of the 5:30pm class (males and females), there were alot more people in that class. The 5:30pm probably had more energy. SERVICE (5/5) -- This was good and I appreciated the instructor helping me set up my bike to the right seat position relative to my height. I was also given shoes for free to use (first class = free shoes) but I think normally you have to pay for shoes. I normally frequent Cycle Fly in Lakewood but Psycle is a fine option too. I just prefer Cycle Fly. **** - 35/150 total reviews in 2023 - 586 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 19 March 2023

What was wrong with my standing? Well, as it turns out, the back pains I had were caused by that standing. Which meant I wasn't sleeping as well at night. Which meant I was drinking caffeine to try to stay awake, and it all cascaded to affect my overall health. I was expecting, you know, massive weights and running 'til I puked. But they gave me tiny weights, realigning my body, grueling workouts that strengthened muscles I didn't even know I'd had because I was so unaware of my body - which I viewed as a carrying case for my head - that I didn't realize what had atrophied. And Fitness Evolution worked with me and my wife to create customized exercises that always pushed us but never broke us - which was critical when my wife broke her hand ziplining, and they had to spend weeks jerry-rigging exercises that worked around her injury. I've been doing this for a year now. And I'm not a skinny person, mainly because if you read my other Yelp reviews you'll see they're all about drinking and desserts, and honestly, I've cut that down but to be truly ripped I'd have to give all that up. But my back doesn't hurt on long airline flights. I sleep well, for eight hours. My body has strength in places I never knew it could have strength before. And now, when I look in the mirror, I see how I was standing wrong. I see all the ways Fitness Evolution adjusted me, one session at a time, to give me better flexibility and health. They helped me. It ain't cheap. But when I consider all the doctors' bills I'm gonna save from my body not degrading down the line, I'm callin' this a bargain.

Harness Cycle has been a part of the Hingetown (Ohio City) community for years. More recently (a…read morefew years ago), Harness Cycle moved into the Vitrolite building dreamed up by the Harness' founder and her business partner. You'll find this indoor cycling studio on the first floor of Vitrolite. AMBIANCE: Enter into the lobby with reception and lockers. There's also a small shop. Go to the back room/cycling studio. The space is always pristine, has a lot of natural light, and lack of clutter. It's like a little getaway to go to the Vitrolite - experience Patron Saint Cafe for after ride bites (accessible from the same building), unwind at the Soul Space yoga studio (same building, second floor), connect at the Matriarchy (same building, second floor). Venture out in the neighborhood too - Verbena for mocktails, Larder for forged menu items, Risng Star for a good cup of coffee, Roaming Biscuit for best biscuits in the city. STUDIO: I routinely visit the space for events. However, I haven't cycled in the new space, just old space a while ago. This was my first cycling studio. I knew absolutely nothing about cycling (don't even ride a bike), I went super hard during class and had a tons of fun. As a newbie, I did not feel intimidated. The website easily guided me through bike reservation and shoe rental prices were known upfront. I was able to remain in the back. The class was high energy and fun! The studio has a website page dedicated to the newbies to make the process less intimidating. The place is great if you're a beginner! SERVICE: The service at Harness is always friendly. I feel like I can always ask the most simplistic questions and get responses in a patient, friendly manner. Beyond just friendly service, the team here built a community. People don't rush out of the space but rather linger and connect. People form friendships in this space. There are plenty of events for Runners Club and others to further foster community. It's truly a place where you'll find your people. MEMBERSHIPS: The studio allows drop in rides and memberships. Circle Memberships offer anywhere from 12 rides per month to 12 rides per year. The memberships are priced $88-$288 per month which is comparable to gym pricing at top tier gyms. You'll get different perks like free shoes and guest privileges. A few of my friends have memberships (live in Hingetown), and really love their experiences. I'll be joining this year to once again experience SISU sauna! SISU SAUNA: Seasonally, Harness Cycle partners with SISU Sauna. The Finnish mobile sauna is transported to the patio. You can visit the sauna as a member before or after your ride. You just have to let the front desk know, usually first come first serve basis. The sauna is about 200 degrees and can fit about six people comfortably. A lot of people walk in their gym clothes and find it comfy, I also go in a swimsuit. I've been to this sauna multiple times and remain obsessed. It has perfect dry heat, cedar aroma, and just transports you. I'm sauna connoisseur and highly approve of this one! The urban sauna experience is so fun! I always anxiously await SISU's return! It's literally the best part of my year! PARKING: There is no dedicated parking. You can find street parking in the area but plan for extra time. Other options include Church and State parking garage, Transformer Station (hours might be restricted), and parking lot by the Quarter. The latter parking lots are paid via app. I highly recommend this space if you're looking for community. You can easily connect with health-oriented, fitness folks who are down to earth, and want to meet friends. Also, you must visit SISU! It's such a cozy winter experience!

It's easy to locate off such a main drag. If you're not from the area, be prepared to give yourself extra time for parking. There is no dedicated parking lot, but rather free street parking on surrounding blocks. It's worth it to arrive early just for peace of mind you can find a spot and not be rushed while parallel parking. I wouldn't recommend it as a spot to super last minute book a class. I've attended a few yoga classes and had a wonderful experience. I continuously meet inviting and engaging teachers that actually understand the type of yoga they're teaching. The class sizes are intentionally small and extremely low-pressure. That type of environment alone is enough to make me want to return. Its genuinely a relaxed, supportive atmosphere that meets you where you're at. As someone with physical limitations, I always feel comfortable here and never feel pressured to be something I'm not.

BOOKING CLASSES -- Use their website. I had a ClassPass membership back then so I used my ClassPass credits to book the Reformer class. As of the writing of this review, in July 2026, BeFitness is no longer on ClassPass so guests will need to buy a single class package or a membership directly from BeFitness. A friend told me that they got rid of their Class Pass contract a while ago now. (Side-note: ClassPass is an app that allows members to book classes at different fitness studios and have the option to also access gyms and spas across various cities). REFORMER CLASS -- Anyone that has done a Reformer class knows that it is challenging, especially at 5am. The instructor was good because she provided understandable cues of what to do for each move/exercise. The instructor was enthusiastic as well. Having now taken other Reformer Pilates classes at a different Pilates studio in Avon and Bay Village, I definitely do not think the Reformer Pilates class at Be Fitness was as hard as the others that I've taken elsewhere. Nonetheless, I still recommend BeFitness if you live in the area and are looking for a beginner and intermediate friendly class. The Reformer Pilates class that I took at a different studio was a more advanced class. TIP (Reformer Pilates) -- The good thing about Reformer Pilates is that you can always adjust the resistance straps to increase or decrease the amount of resistance (weight) that you are pulling. SERVICE -- I remember the check-in process being smooth when I entered and the front desk woman greeted me (she was also the instructor). Overall, I enjoyed the Reformer Pilates class. Similar to many fitness studios, they sometimes have deals/sales so join their email list or visit them on social media to stay informed with current discounts. I joined the Cleveland area YMCA a month after visiting BeFitness so I most likely won't be back to BeFitness since the YMCA offers a ton of fitness classes in addition to a full gym, pool, sauna, etc. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 151/250 total reviews in 2026 - 992 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 July 2026
