Seven years ago, I passed my MSF CLASS but had trouble getting on the street with my Harley Sporster. I heard about Cycle Guru and went to her school. Donna gave me classes in the parking lot, later on she put me on the streets with her riding in front of me. After that I started riding. Five years later I got a Harley RoadKing, huge bike for a 5"ft. girl. I had trouble stopping the bike. I lost my confidence in riding, I called Donna again and we met for a class. Donna immediately found out what I was doing wrong, she let me ride one of her school motorcycles until I felt better stopping on her bike, later on I got on my Road King and Donna did not let me leave until I got better at my stopping. DONNA YOU ROCK! I just finished 3 hours with Donna and I feel Much more confident riding a motorcycle. We spent about 45 minutes talking about operating the bike, principles of handling the machine, and common mistakes. The rest of the time was riding. Donna gave me a small bike, easy for a beginner to ride safely. She rode a scooter with me and coached me pretty much non-stop. We started in a parking lot, then a neighborhood with 4-way stop signs on every corner, then just every other corner, and then some longer stretches. Light traffic throughout, and a lovely area as well (non-essential but really pleasant). Every stop sign -- some feedback. Really helped me build my skills, And my confidence. I feel like I need some more practice before I take out the big bike I just got (great deal, but honestly more power than I'm ready for, it's been a few years since I rode). Donna thinks I'm ready; I love her confidence but don't quite share it yet. What I AM confident about is that I'll be back because she's a real professional in teaching. Donna the motorcycle instructor is the best. Took my first motorcycle lesson with her last week for the first time. I had some clue due to my other half trying to teach me. I had issues where I was afraid to change gears. Well that's where Donna came in. She gave me more confidence and she was thorough about explaining everything to me. She gave me some excercises to practice on. Figure 8s to shifting to 2nd. She even rode with me on her bike for some time to make I'm shifting gears right.2 hrs later she said practice practice practice on your own and you'll be able to pass your road test next month. She got me over my fear of shifting gears and gave me my confidence on riding. Donna is friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about her work. cant believe i forgot to write a review . took my MSF class in april 2021, barely passed skills test at end but made it . slow speed skills are tough . then went to Honda dealer to buy a shadow . well, because of covid my wait for a new bike was estimated to be about 3-5 months....Months! So in July i contacted Donna and told her i needed to get on a bike before i forget all my learned skills. We set up a Sunday morning ride and she made sure i knew my basics before we hit the road. first the parking lot to check my skill set then the side roads and eventually some main roads. 3 hours of building confidence! I am now as of September a proud owner of a Honda Shadow Phantom 750 and rode it 15 miles home from dealer, something i could have never done without Donna's reassurance and confidence in my abilities. I passed the msf course, got my license..and didn't ride for two years... Donna the Cycle Guru was recommended by a moto dealership and Im glad I took the lesson. All the blanks from the msf course were filled in. She began with the basics on through advice specifically for me. This helped me progress my skills & comfort to where I enjoyed the ride while learning from it. I rode a small displacement Suzuki cruiser that was low weight and easy to handle. Before riding; you get a lesson, some great advice and answers to your questions. From there, you'll be riding much more than endorsement courses. Parking lots, free range time, side streets with stop signs, (paved) back roads with mini twists and even a decently busy double yellow line roads through town if you' re up for it. You'll actually get through the gears! To make a long story a little longer, I got the seat time, advice and confidence to go and shop for a bike after a two year lapse. Mission accomplished. Donna is totally awesome! She always points out your mistakes or short comings on the bike and gives you the opportunity to correct them. She does not punish you for your mistakes. Riding is all about having fun and being responsible while doing it. She was even nice enough to let me take out the bike on my own for a bit which made me comfortable enough for the road test. She totally gave me the confidence and skill to complete the road test which she also went the extra mile to schedule the road test and to be there with her bike for the test. Donna is AMAZING!!!! I had ridden (a bit) years ago (2016). I bought a Kawasaki ninja 500 as a fun thing to do together with my bf. Well...we broke up and I was still determined I wanted to ride (well and safely) and didn't feel confident enough in my skills. I found Donna and from the moment I explained she said she'd take care of me, and she absolutely did. We went over basics of the bike top to bottom even before getting into skills which was great because no one had done that with me. She explained counter turning and reinforced it's ok to just sometimes walk the bike at first to build confidence. We practiced slow skills in the parking lot, and by the end of the lesson we went on a real 20-30 minute ride with turns and stops and getting all the way up to third gear. Donna rose by my side the entire time. I felt so confident and safe. I am proud to say I got home and rode my bike around for an hour in queens thanks to her patience and skills read more

Donna is a terrific teacher. She is calm, patient and customizes each lesson to each rider. I had always wanted to ride, but had never been on a bike. When I made up my mind, I got my permit and at the recommendation of a friend, called Donna. She brought the bike and helmet, all I had to do was show up in basic riding gear. Within a very short time, she had me cruising about confidently and even took me out on the road on day one! Day two was more basic riding skills and road work. Donna then scheduled my road test appointment and on the day of the test accompanied me to the site. I passed with zero points deducted. Donna is amazing! Before taking a class with Donna, I failed out of those weekend big name Motorcycle schools, where they claim they teach you and get your license over two days. Very discouraged I figured my place was riding bitch forever (don't get me wrong I enjoyed it, but I so wanted to ride on my own). My husband and Best Friend found Donna and convinced me to take a lesson. My bestie actually took the weekend course and passed! But was told she probably shouldn't go riding until she got better!!! So we both took a lesson with Donna. It was amazing. Donna explained everything and went at a pace that made you feel extremely comfortable. By the end of the session I was riding around East Rockway! This was in late 2020. I took just one more class in early summer of 2021 and the passed the road test! 2014 I had a heart attack . The first thing I did leaving the hospital I immediately went to my local harley dealer . When i walked in whit my hospital bracket on requesting someone to sell me a harley everyone looked st me like I was crazy !
