If you're doing any nighttime riding, you know the importance of good headlights. My original…read moreheadlights were "fogged" to the extent that I finally decided I needed to do something about them. I decided that LED lights were the best way to go. I found Horney's on Yelp while looking for places that serviced Harleys- specifically I was looking for headlight and passing lamps replacements for my 2014 softail. I had already did some online research and found a set made by HogWorkz - LED 7" Halomaker headlight with 4.5" Halomaker passing lamps. When I walked in, the first weekend of May, I was greeted by two friendly ladies working behind the counter. After explaining my headlight situation and a picture of the LED lights I had found online, one of the ladies explained to me that she could get those same lights but it wouldn't be the brand name. She began searching through her computer files and showed me the results. The price for the whole set was about $200 cheaper than the brand name and they were the same. The only drawback was that she would have to order them and it would take 4-6 weeks for them to arrive. I was good with that and so she ordered them there on the spot, took my phone number, and stated she would call me when the lights arrived. Fast forward to five weeks later - June 9th and I received a call from the nice lady from Horney's stating my lights had arrived. I made an appointment with them for 10am the next morning for the change out of the old lights with the new. I arrived the next morning just before 10am. They immediately took my bike in and in less than an hour was finished. The new headlights look amazing and definitely light up the roadway!! I'm extremely happy with the service I received, the helpfulness and pleasant nature of the employees, the quality of product, and the overall cost of my purchase. A hearty recommendation and 5 Stars! Check them out.

I had brought bike to another dealer and they charged me 2 1/2 hours labor at $139 an hour and never solved the issue. I was told about this shop and so i brought bike there, told them of the issue and they were game to try. The initial diagnosis didnt reveal much so Horneys called me and asked how much time i wanted spent to solve the issue, so i authorized another 1 1/2 hours of labor and nothing else. I rec'd a call 2 days later and the issue was solved and the bike was ready for p/u. I was told that my battery was replaced, and I didnt authorize it, but i was out of town at the time of the call and i knew tha battery was not that old. So i waited until I got home and checked and battery was only 2 years old and always kept on a trickle charger. I went to p/u bike and paid the bill. I rode home without issue and put trickle charger on bike and went about my day. 5 hours later trickle charger was still in the red (battery not fully charged) so i worried and called Horneys. I asked front clerk about it but she is only counter help and does not know much about the repair of the Harleys. She said she'd ask the repairman (Rick Horney) and get back to me. I was in the garage w the bike and it was 100 degrees and 90% humidity outside so it was hot and the return call didnt happen so I called again. She said she was busy with a customer and hadnt a chance yet to speak with mechanic. Mean while I removed seat and noted that the battery installed was not a OEM Harley battery, it was an aftermarket battery, in addition that the wires for the trickle charger were not placed correctly on the battery, the battery lock down bar was not reattached and the positive battery cable to the battery had a large crack and wire was exposed. I was not happy. The initial price of the battery was $196.95 and $70 labor to install it. I called Horneys again to tell them the issues of what i found, and that the price for an aftermarket battery I never authorized was high. Front clerk said she'd discount the battery to $165.99. But no mention about the other issues Id found. I asked if I could return the battery and I would buy a OEM replacement. She reluctantly agreed. There was never a return call to me about the other issues Id found. I went back to the dealer the following day with another unrelated issue, and spoke with the mechanic (Rick Horney) and he was verbally abusive towards me, stating how could I complain about other issues when he fixed the issue the other dealer could not. How dare i call so many times and abuse the front clerk. I never and would never verbally abuse anyone in customer service. When I called Horneys Custom Cycle, I was distressed but never mean. I was bringing attention to the issues Id found. So I went to the front counter where the mgr. was, (didnt get his name) and explained the situation. He then went to the back area and spoke w Rick to get his side and upon his return to the front counter, he said that I called too many times and now his shop refused any further services to me. I was banned from their shop. I said I would be back to bring the battery i no longer wanted and return it and I left. On Tues Aug 12th, I went in to return the battery, that I didnt authorize. I was given a refund for the battery and not for the $70 install fee. Do not utilize this shop. If you complain about the repair work and issues found with their work you too will be banned. Im going to file a complaint with BBB and Consumer Affairs. This is not the way to treat customers and people in general. I didnt need to be banned as I would never go back there again after how they treated me and abused me. And for their poor work ethics.

What should have been a straightforward purchase turned into a frustrating ordeal. To complete paperwork and resolve issues related to my purchase, I had to return to the dealership approximately 10-12 times. Nearly every visit lasted at least 30-45 minutes and could have been avoided had things been handled correctly the first time. One of the biggest issues was that the Hull Identification Number was entered incorrectly on different documents by staff on multiple occasions. These repeated mistakes delayed my loan application and the registration process. I brought the majority of these concerns to management, who repeatedly promised to "make things right." To this day, I'm still not sure what they intended to correct because I saw very little urgency or effort to resolve the problems. Expect plenty of apologies and excuses, but very little action. The experience became even more concerning when I was given a trailer that I did not purchase. After waiting nearly an hour for the correct trailer, Parts Manager Anissa Overstreet drove a forklift toward my WaveRunner at what I considered an unnecessarily high rate of speed, with the forks leveled toward the hull of my new watercraft. Both Sales Consultant Jorge Fuentes and I were concerned enough to wave her down and ask what she intended to do. Rather than addressing our concerns professionally, she responded arrogantly, insisting that she knew what she was doing. She then made comments about having "all these men working" and claimed that none of them knew how to work on a trailer, speaking disrespectfully about her coworkers. Ironically, I was the one who had to point out that the trailer winch had been installed upside down. As she searched for the correct tools-making multiple trips back and forth to the shop with the wrong equipment-I reminded her that I needed my license plate removed before they took back the incorrect trailer. That request also seemed to frustrate her. She eventually stated that the license plate bolts were stripped (not by me-they were brand new and designed for marine use). As she repeatedly asked, in a condescending manner, who had installed the bolts, I kept telling her that I had. Despite acknowledging the damaged hardware, she then attempted to reuse those same stripped bolts to install my license plate on the correct trailer. When I asked if that was really her plan, she confidently said yes. At that point, both for my own peace of mind and out of respect for the coworkers she had been speaking to even more harshly than she spoke to me, I asked her to step away and requested that a supervisor take over. I reported these concerns to management as well, but based on my overall experience, I have little confidence that anything will change. This entire purchase was defined by repeated mistakes, poor communication, a lack of accountability, and an unprofessional attitude. Buying a new Yamaha WaveRunner should have been exciting. Instead, it became one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had. I sincerely hope future customers have a better experience than I did.

The Ultimate Bike Shop Experience - A True Gem for Motorcycle Audio & Customization…read more After five frustrating installs at other places, I finally found the one shop that truly knows what they're doing--Kory Souza Originals and I'm lucky because it's located right here in Sarasota and did I tell you that it's right across from the Italian bakery . This place isn't just a bike shop; it's a haven for anyone who wants their motorcycle to sound as good as it looks. The owner is an absolute expert, a true craftsman who knows his way around both motorcycles and high-end stereo systems like no one else. He also can gold plate right there in his shop so if you wanna get rid of the chrome and go gold, this is the place! From the moment I walked in, I could tell this was different. No nonsense, no guessing--just straight-up knowledge and experience. He took the time to understand what I needed, fixed every issue that previous installers had botched, and made sure everything was done right. Finally, my stereo sounds exactly how I always wanted it to--clear, powerful, and flawless. But it didn't stop there. He went above and beyond, changing out all my fluids perfectly, fixing my trunk, and offering so many incredible upgrades that I had to draw the line--because trust me, it's addicting! This shop is the only place I'd ever trust to install a stereo on a bike, hands down. If you want expertise, precision, and a shop that truly cares about the work they do, this is the place to go.
