I do feel like they haven't updated the gym much since they opened. Most of the original machines are there and beginning to show wear and tear. The men's sauna consistently has one of the burners out, leaving it not as hot. Also the tile in the sauna is turning black from the amount of sweat and filth in there. Staff is very kind and helpful, common areas are very clean. The pools are great and the outdoor spaces during the warmer months are a gift. The classes are always filled up and the gym is pretty crowded. I would like to see them add on to the gym to make more space as more and more people are joining. Fees are going up but I don't see amenities increasing with the price. Overall I love this place and am thankful for the space to unwind and decompress daily.

Predatory business practice…read more Do not let your college kids sign up for this service. The website does not allow you to cancel and they say you have to come in person. I told the woman on the phone that all of my kids were out of state and they couldn't come to cancel in person. She said that is the policy. I said that they stopped using it on Aug 2nd, but they charged me again on Aug 15th. I asked for the manager's email to email my cancellation. This was ignored. I sent another email which was ignored. We had to cancel the card that was setup to pay because they still have our account listed as active and we will not let them steal our money again.

One of the best trainers I have worked with. Perry is a great guy and is dedicated to the success and safety of his clients. He evaluates the clients needs, preferences and focuses on any limitations. He is very knowledgeable and communicates in easy to understand terms. He is very focused on form so the client obtains maximum results with measurable progress and safety. He is very conservative when increasing levels of an exercise. Two issues that I have experienced great improvement in the few weeks of training with Perry, 1) Injured knee several years ago resulting in loss of range of motion and discomfort during certain movements. Currently ROM has greatly improved and little if any pain or discomfort. This has provided me with the ability to perform exercises that I had avoided in the past. 2) Impingement in shoulder has limited me in certain movements and considerable discomfort. Currently able to perform movements with little awareness of any limitation or discomfort. ROM has definelty improved and improving muscle strength. Highly recommend Franklin Strength & wellness. Meh. GFA isn't exactly what I expected in a gym. Maybe it works for some, but it's just not up to…read morepar in my book. I've had plenty of different gym memberships across town depending on where I lived at the time - but I won't be back to this one. Let's start with the good. Location is great, fees are not bad, small gym (which is fine). These are initial observations when I signed up. Now, we shimmy on over to the "not-so-good" part of the review. I got to GFA at 5:45 AM and popped into the restroom really quick. Very dirty restroom. Honestly... disgusting. So I simply deduce either a) no one cares to clean up after themselves here or b) no one is on staff during the night to make sure the customers needs are being met. I took pictures to share, but I'll spare you (you're welcome). Not a deal breaker, but not an amazing start. The first treadmill I jumped on didn't work (touch screen controls seemed to be completely dead). No big deal. The second didn't work either (same issue). The third treadmill took a lot of work to get going, but it finally worked. I noticed that there was a TON of dirt caked inside the treadmill air vents (I included a picture) which are pointed directly at your face while running. Also, not awesome. I ran with a wince for 45 minutes. Additional observations. Weight room is very small (don't love to workout in tight spaces - again, personal preference), there are no showers, and FOX news was blaring all morning. Unfortunately at this time, I cannot recommend GFA and will not be extending my membership. I hope your experience is better than mine should you choose them for your local gym.
