Facility and equipment are pristine. Workouts themselves are no joke and because of the way they're structured you don't plateau - it's never not challenging. Workout classes can be intimidating and having a forever injury that requires modification can make it feel even scarier however, the employees always make sure to welcome new people show them around. I find that before classes (particularly a more full class) there will be socialization between members/attendees and it's not just with people they know, rather with whoever is standing nearby. Of course no one is forcing conversations if people don't wish to be social, but it just feels extra welcoming. The instructors never make you feel left out or like a burden if you need modifications. Having done barre for a while, I'm pretty good at doing my own, however without signaling anyone out they'll offer and demonstrate different modifications for each move and encourage people to take what they need. It's nice to be reminded that this is your workout, and the way you do it doesn't have to fit perfectly into a certain look or move. They also offer hands on modifications, which you can tell them if you'd rather not receive them, but the modifications are never forceful (I think most group fitness people have experienced a modifications from a good intentioned teacher that was a little too zealous - that's never happened to me at Barre3). This is a great place for beginners, for people who are feeling a little alone on starting a fitness/barre journey, for regulars, and for all the in-betweeners. It's a welcoming and inclusive environment, that encourages modifications, all skill levels, and support where ever you need it. However, don't be fooled by all the niceness too much, because the workout will still absolutely kick your butt and is harder than you think - but it's delivered in a way that's always encouraging. Also, the free parking is a major plus of this location! You can park in the attached garage or street parking nearby. For the garage I use the call box and let them know I'm there for barre3 but make sure you get the door code from an employee before your visit, because you'll need that to enter the 2nd door.

My intuition is that Jonathan is given an incentive such as a bonus or commission from corporate and relies on people not tracking the exact costs of what they should be paying. We are still owed money from months ago and when we approach Jonathan about it, we receive a very unprofessional snarky repose that he is "AS I TOLD YOU, I'm going to do it but it takes time" which is an outright lie because it has been over a month and he has issued some but not all credits that he admits is owed to us. Again, I believe he is playing this game to pad his numbers on other people's expense which is stealing and goes against their contract with their credit card processor. It's a shame because the program and the facility is great but Jonathan brings an awful stain on the organization.

We have not had a good experience. Our coach has changed three different times and we ended up not getting coaches that specialized in our sport like we thought. At one point, we didn't have a coach and could not schedule. Now, We can't get the facility to call us back to schedule our remaining sessions. Not a great way to treat customers!

They have subcontracted fitness trainers that are all very professional and very professional. This is a gym. I am a member and i travel a lot - 3 weeks a month. So while on the road i go to lots of gyms and this is my favorite by far. They have 4 cardio areas !! Who else has that? no one. they have a huge free weight area, a gigantic machine area, a self guided and self paced fitness area, and the theater room is really a great idea, big screen movies and cardio equipment. They have a juice bar, and lots of classes. The flaw if there is one, is how small the locker rooms are. There are definitely better locker rooms and the showers are very basic. They are clean, but could use some sprucing up. But i like the work out areas and the trainers, they are a terrific group. I dont think they have a child care option, but my kids are old enough that this is not an problem, but you might want to call if this is a requirement.

Nick, the owner, does a great job of making you feel at ease right away. I had some experience with Crossfit before but was not the most advanced. The classes had a nice mix of first timers to seasoned athletes. Nick and Josh, the head coach, are always available to help you with technique and form. They like to make sure you have perfect form before you start adding weight. They still like to push you to make sure you get a nice workout but it is always in a safe way. Nick is obsessed with keeping the gym clean. All of the equipment is clean and well maintained. The wall of windows also make sure you always get natural light while you workout. The fellow athletes are all nice, supportive and welcoming. They helped make my fitness journey and transition to Nashville much better. This is the best Crossfit box in Nashville.
