CycleBar Review: A Journey of Community and Growth I began my CycleBar journey about eight years ago at the Classen Curve location, and I fell in love immediately. Over the years, I've come and gone as my life changed--first as a college student and now as a stay-at-home mom of two. Recently, I found my true CycleBar home in Norman, and it has become a wonderful community that I'm proud to be a part of. No matter where you are in life, CycleBar welcomes you. I cherish the moments I carve out for myself during the week to attend classes. The instructors are incredibly supportive and take the time to get to know you. I love when the Cycle Stars call out names during class; it motivates me to push myself further than I ever thought possible. The sense of community here is truly amazing. This isn't your typical workout. In class, you feel like you're part of something bigger. Everyone is uplifting, and you can sense the camaraderie among the riders. Having had gym memberships in the past, I never realized the immense motivation that group classes provide. With a standard gym membership, it's easy to skip workouts, but at CycleBar, you're held accountable. If you sign up for a class, you can only cancel up to 12 hours before. This means that even on days when I want to come up with excuses not to go, I feel compelled to show up--and I love that! The group setting is fantastic. While the instructor guides the class, there's a strong sense of teamwork. Some classes even display group statistics on screen, allowing us to work together. As someone who works from home and doesn't get out much, the social aspect of group classes is refreshing. However, if you prefer to keep to yourself, it's easy to slip in and out without drawing attention. The instructors encourage you to listen to your body. During my first ride, I struggled to stand during most songs, but that was perfectly fine. They remind you to hydrate and go at your own pace, which creates a comfortable environment for all fitness levels. The CycleBar community is genuinely welcoming. One of my favorite instructors approached me before class to learn my name, and she consistently makes an effort to acknowledge me. The overall atmosphere is laid-back, with friendly staff ready to answer any questions. Tracking my progress has been a game-changer for me. After each class, I receive an email with my stats, which helps me see my improvement. I've steadily increased my distance--currently, my high score is 12 miles! While stats aren't everything, they provide a sense of accomplishment that keeps me motivated. CycleBar offers a variety of class styles, including "Classic," "Connect," "Performance," "Empower," and themed rides. I typically enjoy the classic classes, but I also love switching it up with a connect ride now and then. In summary, CycleBar is more than just a workout; it's a supportive community that encourages growth and connection. CYCLEBAR - 100 Rides!!! - Cycling Classes Near Me - Norman, Oklahoma

I enjoyed the workouts but my schedule wouldn't really allow me to utilize the sessions regularly. I have been trying to cancel my membership since June. I've emailed, called, texted, and gone in person but haven't received any response. They have charged me for two additional months since my initial request and now will have to go to my bank to ensure I don't get charged for additional months since they have been unresponsive. I would have considered coming back in the future, but after this experience trying to cancel, I will never go back and don't recommend anyone else go. read more

I've got access to a spin bike at home but I wanted to check out a live class & CycleBar was everything I'd hoped for (and more!). I signed up for a free class and was welcomed as soon as I walked in. They had a locker for me and a special greeting which was so thoughtful. Cyclebar has cleats for riders - even in half sizes, so the fit was perfect. Or, you can click in with your own. Instructor Lenny led the Wednesday evening class and was so motivating and encouraging! The class was about half full and the workout was AMAZING! If you know, you know...spin classes are all that and more. Great workout and super friendly staff! I'm still on the fence about spinning at home or in a live class environment - CycleBar is probably one of the best spin studios with several locations in the OKC metro. I have done many different workouts over the years, and Cyclebar is definitely the best I have ever done! From the community, to the instructors, to the rides, it is all truly incredible; it is nearly impossible not to fall in love with it and get addicted! And the results you will get from it, if you are consistent, are next level!! If you are thinking about trying it out, don't hesitate, DO IT! There is ZERO judgement from anyone, only support and encouragement and the best, most positive energy!! I just completed my 100th ride and am already looking forward to my 500th! read more

Update...DO NOT COME HERE. Worst customer service especially from Amanda Fitzgerald. I enjoyed my 1 ride and the welcoming staff the first day but not knowing that their limited times wouldn't get better but just more limited with my busy schedule along with being 20min, this became a nightmare. I had agreed to a 2 month contract and get that but when I realized I couldn't get to the classes due my schedule and only after taking 1 ride, I reached out via phone before the first month was even done. Someone from the staff was kind enough to call me back but lead me to believe that the manager may be able to get me out of my contract or something at least. They did not leave the email but stated I needed to email. Well with my crazy schedule, I didn't get to find the email before leaving the country for 2 weeks and then when I returned, I got Covid. After about 2 weeks I was able to dig the email out and find it so I reached out. Now I got Amanda Fitzgerald that completely offered no assistance except that she would let my account have the rides back I didn't get to take as a credit on my account. She advised she was cancel my membership BUT not for another 30 days. So now, I not only paid for a 2nd month but I also have to pay for a 3rd month when all I did was take 1 ride. The staff had to have known this and the returned call where I requested to cancel back at the end of July should have just said sorry, all you can do is email to cancel. They lead me to believe the manager would help me, not just say SOL which is what happened. The credit of my past rides only showed in my account for about 3 days and then it went back to zero again since now my September payment is late. The icing on the cake...Miss Amanda told me I was rude and hateful. Well if I am, they have given me good reason to. She talked to me like a child as if I didn't understand their corporate system when I have worked in IT type jobs for more than 20 years. She also doesn't understand the definition of misleading and did not see where I was mislead. It is pretty obvious to me. And there is always a way to fix or modify a corporate system. read more

Love this place! The staff are super friendly and helpful people who like to get to know their riders. It is a place free of judgement where the instructors push you to improve yourself in whatever way you need. I always leave having had a great workout and feeling good that I've done something for myself. read more

Best release of anxiety I've found. Love the incorporation of weight bars, encouragement, and everything you need (water, towels, and shoes). It is definitely a great way to get your cardio in. read more

Personally, I hate working out- BUT these group fitness classes get me through the burn! It's collaborative, and we truly grow together inside those studio doors as one. Fantastic Instructors!! From, Alyssa to Lanney to Luke to Renea -- plus so many more fabulous instructors at the Norman club. I can promise you they have a ride for you! DO NOT GO TO CYCLEBAR!!! me and my sister signed up for cyclebar for the summer and when school came around we didn't have time for it, so we tried to cancel our subscription but there is NOWHERE to cancel your membership AT ALL on the app. i tried calling cyclebar soooo many times and left voicemails but i NEVER got a call back or ANYTHING! luckily my sister found out we had to do it through instagram. so we dmed them to cancel our subscription and we thought we had cancelled it but nope! we just got charged for this whole month AGAIN when we had cancelled. we tried calling them but surprise surprise they did not answer once. we probably called 30 times and yet no call back and no answer. we also left many voicemails. we dmed them again and there is no way to get our money back. even though we already canceled. apparently there is a "30 day trial" so if you have to get charged in that 30 days even though you canceled your subscription they don't care. so i recommend not bother even signing up for cyclebar. read more
