I get my hair done once a week and I would say this was top 3 worst places I've been to. My appointment was with Henna. As she was washing my hair she was dripping water all over my face. I asked to try and be careful as 95% of stylist can wash your hair without getting the water all over your face. She started blow drying my hair and kept clunking my head with the brush. All of this would have been alright if my hair would have turned out decent. My hair was dry and frizzy and I had to wash it the next day as I couldn't take how it looked. I am new to the area and don't know anyone. After researching internet called many salons and chose this establishment after speaking with them. I was told that I would get an experienced colorist. I brought with me a topper hair piece that I asked to match highlights and color. I am 63 years old and never walked out of a salon more disappointed. I really feel it was not the fault of the 22 year old girl that spent over 4 hours foiling my hair but the managements poor judgement. The young woman that did my hair did not have the experience I was expecting. I paid the bill and walked out not wanting anymore chemicals on my head to correct the problem. I even tipped the girl because she should never have been given the task and she was very sweet. I feel the manager was testing her or just rolling the dice one me for over $300 $$$. I took my boys in today for haircuts. One of the stylists was Kina. We asked for an inch to be taken off of his long hair and she cut so much off and left him with bangs! Not at all what we talked about. He is so upset. In tears as soon as we got to the car and I understood. The other stylist, Kelsey, tried to help fix it but without completely fading it out, there was no fixing it. 10/10 would not recommend Kina for a boys haircut. I'm not happy with my outcome.. Today I did receive my money back after having partial highlights that spotted along my roots. I also learned at the same time I was charged for a trim I did not get! I have a pixie cut with an undercut so super short hair and I was charged over $100 for partial highlights, and left with terrible results. read more

I saw a sign that stated this salon had and used Redken products. I was very excited as I use Redken products whenever I can. I went in and talked to Katie, she was so helpful with helping me find the right products and getting answers to a couple of questions for me. I really like the look of the salon, it was clean and very attractive. Although I did not get my done that day, I felt welcome and plan on going back in order to have my hair done when it is time. So this place was my go to but I will no longer set foot in here. I had a wonderful experience when I had my mullet and Rita would take really great care of me. But the reason I will no longer set foot in this establishment is because of the most recent hair cut I received. I called to set up an appointment with Rita to have my mullet cut off but unfortunately her schedule did not match with mine so I asked to be set up with someone who could do a good fade. I was setup for an appointment with Michelle. The haircut went good and I was pleased when I left. A few days passed by and I started to develop bumps on the back of my head that were not razor bumps. The bumps were itchy and nothing could help subside it. So I go to a dermatologist to be told I have Barber's Itch. Barber's Itch is a fungus that you can get from improper cleaning of tools and equipment. I now have to use prescription medicated ointment on the back of my head to try and get rid of this crap. Not only that but after making management aware of my situation I was never contacted back to try and make the issue right. read more

Emily has cut my hair twice now and I still can't believe how much better the cut is than any other cut I've ever had. It feels better, styles better, and just looks better. She's also a pleasant person to be around. She won't talk your ear off and at the same time she's very sweet. It's a perfect combination! She's also willing to give advice (not just product related) if you ask and her advice has helped my hair a lot. The salon itself is very nice. The logo may be outdated and the website low budget, but the salon itself is updated and very nice. I went in as a walk-in client and thinking that I would be provided great service. The ladies up front were nice, however I felt like I was being thrown around for someone to cut my hair, I ended up getting a nice lady that cut my hair but was rushing because she has a client already coming in... there were several ladies in the front that were just sitting down having conversations.. one of them could have done my hair instead of double booking this one lady that already had a client coming in. Someone in the front asked her do you have time, and she responded I can squeeze her in!!! Really!!!! My hair came out okay, not what I expected.... I walked in and informed them I wanted a shampoo wash, cut and style... well the lady that did my hair asked me again at the very end if I still wanted her to blow dry, I made up an excuse telling her I had to get my kids, her response was "Ooooo not saying I didn't want to blow dry your hair but because I have another client coming in and it is going to take me 30 extra minutes to do your hair" Really, is that what you tell your clients... that's not my fault they over booked you but I really went in there to spend my time to myself but to get a half ass service.. I went as a walk-in for a cut and highlights. I asked the price and was told $39+ for a haircut and $69+ for the highlights. I had pictures of the cut I wanted. I have short hair and the highlights are partial. I got there at 11:00 a.m. and walked out at 4:00 p.m. Just putting on the foil for half my head took an hour. After she rinsed it out my hair had a light lavender tint. I went in for a light, light blond. She had to re-do the tint. The color ended up being something I could do buying a packaged color, it doesn't even look like highlights. To top it off, every time I went to the sink for a wash or rinse my back got soaked and I told her so. She did nothing to dry me off. Another employee at the basin next to me gave me a towel. I also sat in the chair several times when she would disappear for several minutes leaving me just sitting there. I told her I would style at home and she just blew it dry. I about passed out when I checked out and it came to $178. It was a miserable and unsatisfactory experience and I won't be back. read more

I had the best experience here today. I was hesitant to change stylists but I was driving too far and paying an awful lot so I decided to try this salon. I made an appointment on Monday and was told the girl that would be doing my hair was great, and boy was she. Delaney from the very first minute was professional and delightful. She is amazing with highlights. She did a better job than the girl I was afraid to stop going to. Delaney also gave the best shampoo, she took her time and did a great consultation to find out exactly what I was looking to achieve. I have found my new forever stylist. I highly recommend this young lady who is, in my opinion, very professional, talented, and sweet. My daughter went in for her scheduled appointment on a Saturday @ 1:30 with a stylist named Chloe. My daughter showed a picture of what she wanted her hair to be done, WELL that did not happen what so ever. The business closes at 4:30 and we were there after 4:30. So in the light in the building it looked ok however once we got outside my daughters hair was extremely discolored and was different shades of colors all over her head. One on side of her head was light and the other side of her head was darker. I tried to go back into Classic Hair and the door was locked, then I tried to call but no answer and to top it off they are CLOSED on Sundays. (She paid for this with her own money that she has worked for $195.00 plus the tip.) My daughter cried the rest of the afternoon and locked herself in her room for the rest of the day. Oh and due to my daughter being so upset we did not go celebrate her getting into Texas State University for this coming August. So I took my child to MY stylist who I have been using for years and they fixed it BEAUTIFULLY. It cost me another $150.00 but my daughter was happy and to see that smile on her face was so worth it. So I called and spoke to a tong lady that got ahold of one of the owners Kathy would was extremely apologetic even though she was off that day and said that she would refund me the money all I had to do was go up to the salon. The same day after speaking with her I went to the salon to get the money as I was advised to do. So I arrive at the salon and was completely thrown for a loop. The lady behind the desk went and spoke to the other owner Tina who in my opinion was very rude to me. We were taking about what happened to my daughters hair and it was like she didn't care. Not like that was not enough the OWNER of this business CLASSIC HAIR allowed a customer to get involved into our private conversation but she allowed another employee to tell from across the building that "don't do that because she is going to cancel her card and then you are out of money, Tina"! WTH first of all this employee did not have anything to do with OUR PRIVATE conversation but what was worse is this employee had a customer in her chair and another one sitting next to her waiting to get rinsed from getting highlights done. I was completely EMBARRASSED and HUMILIATED!! What was worse is that TINA the OWNER. DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO STOP ANY OF THIS SHE ALLOWED THIS TO GO ON FOR AT LEAST 20 minutes. My daughter and I were in a last minute rush to get our hair cut before a special event today, and went here thinking "walk-ins welcome" meant we'd have a better chance of them fitting us in on a Saturday morning. They were able, so that was nice. However, we went there knowing it was a chain salon and expecting average, quick service at a cheap-ish price- like maybe a step up from a Great Clips or Fantastic SAMs. Honestly, I expected to pay maybe $30-35 each for our medium- longish hair- nothing fancy, just trims with medium layers. No pricing posted up front should have been my first clue and I definitely should have asked about the costs. True to expectation, we both got very mediocre cuts, mine with a blow dry and very bare bones styling, my daughter declined the blow dry when she was informed it would be an additional charge. Unlike what I expected, I was charged $51 and my girl's was $43! (After tipping the usually accepted amounts, it cost me $120 for the two of us- just for cuts!) Yes, I have often paid more for a haircut, but that was for a quality job that usually involved some razor cutting for texture and a careful, salon quality blowout and style. This was definitely not up to that price-point standard. And I would never have consented to pay $43 for my girl to leave with wet, unstyled hair if I had asked ahead of time! Guess I learned my lesson. I will plan ahead and schedule with my regular stylist next time where I get cut, color and partial highlights for $120! read more

The salon is not following Texas salon reopening guidelines for reducing COVID-19 exposure. Employees were wearing masks, and the salon stated they had a mask requirement, but customers were taking their masks off once in the chair, and refused to put them back on when asked. Salon did not enforce the mask policy, and the salon was crowded. Workstations were also less than 6 feet apart with customers at neighboring stations. My advice: go to a salon that is enforcing COVID-19 policies until this pandemic is over. read more
