Here we go again. My insurance requires a referral. I just found out today that once again, this office did not send over the referral to my facility for a wellness screening. Due to the facility being in network, they performed the colonoscopy anyway. Problem is, my insurance company didn't approve it. The colonoscopy center is going to have to eat the $700, plus $8000 anesthesia bill. I don't receive my $250 HSA reward. Why this facility continues to have office problems, IDK. It's incompetence at this point. This is ongoing for me, so I switched PCPs as of today. I don't have a problem with Dr. Hoang, but it's the front office, and the issue with Dr. Ngo's lack of thoroughness with my son, his last visit. I wish them well. read more

I needed to find a new primary doctor and I started doing my research around the area. Not many clinics around but I was able find this location. I always love reading the reviews before going somewhere. Many reviews were just silly complaining about the receptionist. I did not have a problem with the receptionist over the phone or in person , she was friendly and helpful at all times. Dr. Hoang is informative, patient and I felt like he actually care and communicate thorough. I have to say I finally found a priimary doctor who makes me feel welcome and comfortable. I also got the privacy I needed, he wasn't in a rush even though his waiting lobby was super pack! I gave them 4 starts because I had to wait almost 2 hours! ( take note: my appointment was made 2-3 hours before the appointment) so I can't really say much about that, not every clinic can squeeze you in. But I personally don't like waiting too long. read more

I'll add that in my 21 years I have never had a problem with the staff at his office. Not once. Sometimes the staff is busy. But I have NOT had even one unpleasant experience. I think that people who "dump" on the staff are unkind & rude people by nature and perhaps the reason why they had an unpleasant experience is because THEY are unpleasant people by nature - not the staff. Honestly, this is the worst doctor's office ever and if I could, I would leave a negative 10 stars. Do not go here and go elsewhere where people care as we are fed up and choosing a different PCP. The issue started a month ago when we wanted to go get tested for covid19 and needed them to fax the facility with a doctor's order. Initially, they told us to just go to the facility website and sign up as it is not needed. Wtf? If we didn't need it, we wouldn't waste our time calling to begin with. Then, they said they will send it, which didn't happen because we we left to wait after rapid testing and after being fed up, paid with cash instead of with our insurance. Strike 1. Yesterday, my wife fell and sprained her ankle. We visited the office today and doctor Khanh Ngo prescribed some medication for her at the CVS across the street. We were left there to wait 30 min with the prescription not being sent. We went back to the office and asked for the handwritten prescription so we can just get that instead of waiting for them to send it over electronically. The receptionist was rude and told my wife the doctor is busy and there is nothing she can do. And she added, since my wife have to get xray anyways, why not do that first and give them time to send the prescription over. Are you effin kidding me? And this is with my wife hurting while she walks terribly. Wtf again?!!! I'm so mad now that I am still fuming. Strike 2. Not giving them a chance at strike 3. Going to file a complaint to Texas Medical Board as this practice is atrocious! read more

I wish I would have taken into consideration the reviews that I had read before choosing to come here. On the day that I feel the worse in a while, I get the most appalling service imaginable. First, I call around 4:10 to see if they can see me as a walk in because I am feeling terrible and have a commitment for tomorrow I cannot cancel. They say no, and I ask what I should do. The person who I was talking to says "what do you mean", I say, "that. What do I do then?" I have insurance, she could've recommended me to go to an urgent care of something, but instead she gives me the run around until she finally gives me 10 minutes to get there an be seen. Okay, so I rush to make it on time (again, feeling like crap and driving-literally speeding to make it on time because they are so rude I wouldn't be shocked if they turned me away for being one minute late. So I sign in, they take my CC for payment and I get called within 3 or so minutes. The girl who calls my name has an attitude when she calls my name. I kept thinking in my head "oh great, just what I need." So, the door to the consult area remained open, so I closed it. The first thing this "professional" tells me is "is there a reason why you closed the door?" At that point, I had it. I walked out, telling them many truths they need to be told on a daily and told them they better give me my refund. Dr. Hoang has always been great and personable, reason why I kept returning. But now, I am sitting at a Walgreens clinic because I feel like crap and I didn't want to deal with their snarky attitudes. Seriously, close your practice for two weeks and have a change of personnel. When one is feeling their worse, this is the last thing we need from anyone in the medical field. read more

We've been going to Cypress Family Clinic for about 10 years now. My husband and I love Dr Hoang and Dr Ngo. They are both great doctors with excellent bedside manners. A trait you don't see very often with doctors. Kim at the front desk is also very nice all the time. I prefer to speak with Kim when I call or come in for an appointment. there's another girl at the front desk however that is very rude. When you call she talks over you instead of listening. Because she's rushing to get you off the phone, she didn't hear what you originally stated. It's the same thing when you go to the clinic. She doesn't look at you at all. She only smiles when she's talking to the other girls in the clinic. The patients, she treats like a burden to her day. Not very friendly to be in the front desk. I would rate them a 5 if not for the rude front desk person. read more

Dr. Hoang is nice and patient. She is very good about explaining things and will answer your questions. I have been seeing her for a couple of years now. The front staff are as you would expect. I have had issues with getting paperwork and things and the lady that answers the phone ALWAYS sounds angry. I will still keep coming here though because of Dr. Hoang :)! read more

After my family physician retired, I panicked. And then went through about 3 doctors that were NOT a good fit before finding these guys. Cypress Family Practice is comprised of two doctors who happen to be husband and wife. Both are personable, competent general practitioners who will always make time to listen to you. Unlike other doctors I've seen, they have never ridiculed me for using herbal remedies, and they'll always explore what has worked in the past (or hasn't worked) for a particular problem. Both are very down-to-earth and haven't developed that God-complex that so many other docs have. Their staff is also friendly and down-to-earth, and will do their best to work you into the schedule in an emergency. I've always gotten same day appointments when requested, and even on those days, never had to wait more than 15-25 minutes to be seen by the doctor. The office itself is clean, comfortably lit, and actually has interesting magazines! They are also very kid-friendly. I was referred here by my SO's family, who all go here. Dr. Hoang is super nice and friendly and patient; however, she didn't put much effort in to solve my problems and her staff is horrendous. I went in because I felt like I might have been getting a UTI, I was having sharp lower abdominal pain and problems pooping. I explained everything to the doctor, and she said I'm probably just dehydrated and gassy. I was drinking a lot of water, though, because I thought I had a UTI. She had me do a urine sample to check for infection. She also prescribed antibiotics without being sure I needed it. 7 days worth. After 5 days of taking the antibiotics, I felt nauseous, fatigued, had massive headaches, and had more trouble pooping. I called her, and she said, "oh, actually these new antibiotics you only need for 3 days. I prescribe 7 just because people are used to it." Not only did I have to pay for more pills, I was physically ill. Then, I find out my urine sample came out clean, so I took the antibiotics for nothing. I guess better safe than sorry, but my pooping problem was exacerbated. The lady at the front desk asks me to pay. She didn't even know how much to charge me! She checked her list, but she wasn't sure which one went with my insurance. I'm pretty sure she pulled an arbitrary number out of her ass, some $56 and change. Weeks later, I get a bill for $125 for the visit and $400 something for the urine test. What? And the claims address for my insurance on the bill is wrong. I call my insurance to hear they hadn't received a claim yet. So I call the doctor's office and ask them to send it again. I receive another bill for the full amounts, so I go to the office to straighten things out. They made me wait almost an hour before speaking to me, and I was the only one in the clinic. The girls at the desk then tell me they already filed it but can't send another claim because it goes from a third party company. The older lady says to the younger under her breath, "just do what she's asking." I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean. I'm still getting billed $125 for the visit (where did my $56.46 go?) and $413.25 for the urinalysis. I recently went to Quest again, and they said a urinalysis shouldn't even cost that much. Dr. Ngo and Dr. Hoang have been our family physicians for about 12 years, and both of them are excellent at listening and asking relevant questions. They take the time necessary to understand the issues, and explain the path forward. They both genuinely care. Kim, who's been there for many years at the front desk, is wonderful - very caring and friendly. I just visited today, and got the same excellent care I always have from Kim and Dr. Hoang. After reading other negative reviews of a different front desk clerk, I wondered if that person would be there today. I encountered no rude staff today - perhaps that person is gone. Their front desk people are horrible. I hate calling and making an appt. One girl always talks over you and has the WORST attitude for a front desk person. I meant to tell Dr Hoang when I saw her (she HAS to already know though) but I was feeling so bad I forgot. I literally HATE calling to make an appt. the girl who checked me out was okay. But the next time I make an appt and she cuts me off, it's gonna get ugly. I like Dr Hoang, she talks fast, but that's okay. Very personable, relatable and knows her stuff. read more

I am a Kelsey Siebold patient that has to leave as a patient because I'm going on Medicare with a Plan G supplement plan and not using their Kelsey Siebold Advantage plan. Looking for a new doctor is very stressful so I've been calling other Family Practice offices. I think it's important for people to know that THIS OFFICE DOES NOT TAKE MEDICARE AT ALL - NO FORM OF IT. Not even if you have a supplement plan. The person I spoke was very nice until I mentioned I would be using Medicare and then she just interrupted me mid-sentence, "we don't take medicare and haven't for five years". I've always wondered how doctors could uphold the hypocratic oath and refuse to take patients that might not pay as much as others. Anyway, my insurance pays the gap, so why not. Even if they did take medicare, I guess it's better to know now, the way these doctors frame what patients they take. read more

Wasn't feeling too well, came in last minute for a checkup. receptionist was friendly and fast! I was able to be placed as a walk in & was seen within the next hour. The staff here is thorough and amazing with diagnosing & following up. I was recommended to this place & I am happy I have found a permanent physician. read more

Both doctors are great and caring with me and my family. The reason for the two stars is due to the front desk employee who is always to busy to actually listen and assist. This is a problem when describing what you want an appointment for, following up from previous doctor visits, or answering questions about insurance. read more

Love Dr. Hoang! She's very personable and caring and truly spends time with you. I don't, however, like that she's "anti-prescribe" when it comes to anxiety medications. I've suffered from two different anxiety disorders for many years now (and can easily be proven by looking at my medical records from my previous psychiatrist), but that apparently does not matter. Pros: Dr. Hoang has a great bed side manner. She's very friendly & made me feel comfortable & at ease. I also appreciated that she wasn't pushy at all with extra tests/shots/exams- if you're not interested, she will immediately move on. Cons: Expect a long wait time. I waited 1 hr 15 min for a routine check up & 30 min for a vaccination. Both appointments scheduled for 9:30 am on a week day, so I suspect the weekend is even worse. Dr. Hoang seemed to be in a visible rush to get my appointment finished & move on to the next patient. Compared with my old doctor at Kelsey Seybold, she didn't spend much time asking questions about my health/lifestyle, & she skipped some of the routine checks that usually come with a physical (breast exam, etc.). First time coming here and I referred to the reviews on google for Dr. Nancy Hoang. She was very professional, and was careful with my medical history to ensure that we are not missing anything before she started. She was knowledgeable and answered all my questions and concerns and was gave me information on the medications that she would prescribe and reasons why she would not give more than that. Of course it was to make sure that she is not just giving long term medical treatment for the wrong reasons and I hope I will recover quickly so I don't have to come back for an x-ray. I don't understand the low star ratings for the office staff.... I've been coming here for about 10 years and I can't say enough about the staff - they are soooooo nice and sweet! I've never been to doctors office with nicer and more helpful staff! While I love Dr. Hoang the office staff is ridiculously bad. They don't identify themselves when the answer the phone; they are often rude and they enjoy blurring the lines of legality and company policy. When they get confused they compose a sentence with HIPPA as the centra; theme. I was looking to send more business their way but I'll have to re-think this due to a recent incident. The staff is not helpful, they look for a reason to say "no" instead of trying to be helpful. I requested to speak to the doctor and was told "yes" by one star member and later "no" by another... who attempted to handle the situation. Anyway, it's a disaster, it's not handled. With check-ups, sick visits, or general health concerns, they are always a phone call away to help. What I love best is that they are a husband/wife team, parents, and Catholics. However, the lady at the front desk is rude and some of the other young ladies that work there are routinely short with the patients and inattentive. So i came in Cypress family practice PA with a minor rash at first, that i believed to be contagious , my girlfriend who also has the circular itchy rash and was far much worse, was with me as well and Dr ngo told me "it's probably just an allergic reaction." i told him we have a stray kitten that could likely have given us this rash but dr ngo said it was not from the cat and provided me a steroid cream and oral steroids and sent me on my way. after taking the medicine he prescribed me, almost a week later the rash spread to my entire body and the medicine appeared to make no progress. i tried to go set up another appointment with them but they rushed me out of the office and told me to come back tomorrow only to be told when tomorrow came that the office was closed and couldn't be seen in person. during this time period i took my kitten to the vet and he was diagnosed with Sarcoptic Mange which is highly contagious to humans. i've since seen another doctor that has prescribed me a completely different medication and has informed me that the steriod cream i was given has made my rash spread WAY WAY worse and he compared it to " pouring gasoline on a fire " if dr ngo would've payed attention to the details of my condition such as the the kitten, and the contagious aspect he could've at the very least told me to separate my self from my kitten until the rash starts to diminish. i wasted my time and money here!!! DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE RUDE AND PRESCRIBE YOU THE WRONG MEDICATION! read more

Dr. Hoang was my PCP and she was very friendly and personable. However, her receptionist is a NIGHTMARE. I have never had to interact with someone so unprofessional, rude, and judgmental in my life. I called to make an appointment way back in Nov. for a day in Jan. but forgot what day it was on. I called to ask when it was scheduled. The receptionist asked for my DOB, etc. She then kept telling me how I never made the appointment because I wasn't in the calendar. I told her that I did indeed make it but forgot the date. She replies "No you didn't...you are not in the computer." Instead of offering a solution like any other courteous receptionist. She just kept arguing with me! I was the one who had to ask her to make another appointment. At this point she was so short, rude, and unprofessional I just couldn't keep it in any longer. I told her "I can not believe how unprofessional you are being right now." This time she was quick to answer and replied "NO. YOU ARE RUDE. YOU ARE YOUNG AND RUDE." -I'm sorry...what does my age have to do with anything? I was so upset and felt so belittled that I couldn't help but start crying and being defensive. She then put me on hold. Dr. Hoang came on the phone and apologized for her behavior...which did not seem genuine. It seemed like she just rubbed it off. WHen I told her about the comment about my age and how unprofessional and uncalled for that was, she replied "Yeah, Um..I'm sorry, I don't know why she said that." ---not very comforting for a crying patient! Lets just say I switched PCPs. I think it is very sad that these quality Doctors are losing patients bc of an issue that can be fixed...DO NOT HIRE YOUR FAMILY MEMBER TO WORK AT YOUR ESTABLISHMENT UNLESS YOU TRAIN THEM HOW TO BE PROFESSIONAL. read more

This is the only family practice we have used since moving to Cypress 16 years ago. So, I called them to make an appointment as soon as possible. I'm told there is one opening in the afternoon. That was perfect for me. From this point, everything went downhill. She asked for my name, I spelled it, my birthday, I said September 5, she in a nasty voice "do you mean fifth". Ok, that's what I ment, she went on doing something. She comes back telling/yelling YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN HERE! You have to come in as a new patient! There is no appointments for new patients today! I tell her that this can't be the case, this Dr Gno is the only Dr I have seen during the time in Cypress! She goes on, HOW DO YOU SPELL YOUR LAST NAME?! I spell it again and she comes back telling me YOUR BIRTHDAY IS SEPTEMBER 13th, NOT 5th AS YOU SAID! Like if I don't know my birthday, it's been the same for 62 years!!!! I tell her, the 13th is my husband's birthday. We both use this place. She goes just nastier and tells me again that I have never been there. I found a very friendly place, got all my medicine and started to feel way better right away. Needless to say, we are never ever going back to this place!! read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Ngo's for a few years now. He is very friendly and attentive. The office is always clean and neat and they have a little area with toys to keep the kids entertained while in the waiting room. Even the MA/nurse who takes the vitals are friendly as well, I'll continue to go there as long as I live on this side of town. read more

On front staff I thought I'd be the 1st one here. Most of the comments here are about that! Unprofessional would be an understatement - RUDE would be more like it. Service with an **Attitude** and our family pays full price. LONG unattended holds, then if you call back, she will recognize your number and put you on another silent unannounced hold.
