Out dated, poorly and not to building code renovations, bad a/c leaks everywhere heat not much better. The poor thing is, it is in a fabulous upper class neighborhood, ElkGroove amenities, really great well funded schools, close to shopping, food, entertainment as well as a full Hospital just blocks away. But do the the conditions, non responsive management, and extra fees it's really more hassle then home. Look further, there are better deals in the area. read more

My air conditioning dud not work for 2 months this summer. The management provided portable air conditioners which only cooled off the livingroom. The other bedrooms were sticky and hot. The a.c units were also provided several other apartments. As such, our com ed electric bill doubled and they won't give us any discounts on rent or reduce our utilities. Review after four months living. When we moved in, the intercom wasn't working. They fixed that after three months when some of the residents complained because delivery services couldn't leave packages inside the building. After one month the air conditioner started leaking. They fixed that leaking after three weeks, then made a patch to fill that big hole on the ceiling after one month and a half. In the meantime we had issues with electricity, some unexplained problems with the fuse. Then we still don't have heating, and it's almost november. What really pisses me off is the key for the gym. We didn't get it when we moved in, and we didn't need it till now. The management has been changed and they claimed that we got the key, because we signed the lease (online, one month before we moved in and in time when other people lived in our apartment). Now we need to pay $75 for the "lost" key. It's not about money, more about them making us fools and liars. We are aggravated because we expected more from this place. read more

I've been living at cypress place for 3 months now and I can honestly say that I love it. The property manager, Dan is amazing. He really cares about the residents and does all he can to ensure we are comfortable. So, not only are the apartments beautiful and really comfortable to live in the staff is also amazing. Update on my review: If you decide to live here make sure you're really careful about the terms of security deposit. They took out about 350 dollars from my roommates and I's security deposit without explaining as to what it is they had to fix. We left messages and emails and they have yet to respond. They care when you live there but not once you're gone lol read more

I am a current resident and handicap. They never ensured that I was able to get in and out of my patio door or put proper equipment in the bathroom area per the Fair Housing Act and the Fair Housing Amendments Act (42 U.S. Code 3601-3619, 3631) laws. They kept me in dangerously hot conditions, refusing to turn the air conditioning on prior to June 1st even in 90 degree weather because the heating and air conditioning is so out dated. They are now insisting that I pay for an entire month past my one year lease at $600 above my current rate. I am trying to move out when my lease expires and they are refusing. Stay away from this horrendous management and neglectful place. read more

We lived here for 2 years and really liked it. It wasn't perfect, of course, as the actual apartment was tiny for 2 people and 2 cats but it was sooo quiet. We had a nice, good-sized balcony facing Salt Creek which was nice. We didn't have any issues with the management company and needed very few repairs which we appreciated. Plenty of parking as well. A few cons: the a/c is old and doesn't work the best but it's free (or it was when we were there). Salt Creek does flood on a regular basis but for the most part it doesn't reach the apartment complex. When we were there our only option for cable was Comcast and they were terrible. Besides those few cons, we enjoyed living there. read more

I have had the best experience at Cypress Place. It is truly a peaceful community and very quiet. Coming home to an updated apartment with wood floors and nice appliances just were little things that made me feel at home. Communication with Dan, the office manager, was always a pleasure. I've never had any issues with my apartment but if I ever popped into the office I was promptly assisted. The apartment is clean, updated, as is the whole community. The ONLY reason I'm moving out of this apartment is because of work. Otherwise there's no way I'd move. It's super close to expressways to access the city but then also super close to bike trails/woods to decompress and get some fresh air. Also it's close to Woodfield Mall and other great shopping. read more

I moved into Cypress Place on 4/7/17 and so far its been pretty great. If given the option I'd definitely choose it again, but if you're planning on spending a lot of time in the city I'd advise against. Pros: 1. Building maintenance has been amazing. Every time I've called to get something fixed they have been very quick. 2. Very chill tenants, at least I have not argued with any so far. 3. Right next to some parks, restaurants, groceries etc. Cons: 1. Noisy parkway. While the other apartments are quiet, everything from airplanes and engine reving to loud music and car alarms can be heard outside. 2. The air conditioning and heat are on a system that only lets one work at a time. So during the winter the thermostat turns on heat, and during the summer it does AC. This is only annoying twice a year when they switch it over (the heat and ac work great), but is something I had wish they had mentioned before i moved in. 3. Not easy to get into the city. This place is pretty much in between two metra lines and highways, so theres no easy way to get into chicago. read more

I have to say that Dan the property manager is friendly and very easy to work with. Recently, I was in need of moving within a short notice. Dan went out of his way to take pictures of a possible apartment that I could rent before I even got off of work that day. He sent them to me via email. Fantastic! The property is quiet and in a residential area. I am use to having a pool in the complex where I came from. There is no pool here but there is a waterpark within walking distance of the complex. The location is also within a few minutes of all kinds of food establishments. I had other choices when it came to rental properties but Dan made this property an easy selection. read more

I am moving from an apartment in Ann Arbor, MI do to a transfer as a result of work. I found that Cyprus Place had a great location very close to many recreation areas. I also liked the suburban setting of any major roads or highways. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I am happy with my choice and am pleased with the apartment. read more

In my opinion this place is horrible. Do not rent from here unless you enjoy small overprice apartments that have nothing to offer. Lived here for about a year and the staff is horrible. Asked them to replace the rusted out portion of the A/C and Heating unit over and over and they have not. We had mold in our apartment in the air ducts and I'm allergic and have certain health issues that are triggered by the mold which is all dangerous to me and my children. When they replaced the ducts they didnt clean up after themselves or cover any of our stuff like we were told they would do and my son woke up with a bloody nose because of the dry wall dust that was everywhere. Management will deny anything that is wrong with the apartments and wont acknowledged health concerns. DO NOT RENT HERE! They always promised us and other people I know a certain apartment with a balcony on either the first or second floor and when we got here they said they did not have the apartment because the person did not move out. WE got stuck on the 3rd floor with a 140 lbs dog after we were promised the first or second with a balcony with the money we gave to hold the apartment. They lie and just want your money. Only good thing is they took our big dog which was hard for us to find. But we found a townhouse that is way bigger for 100$ more then this place and they have a pool, central air where you can control your own heat and air no matter the time of year, and a fitness center and playground for the kids. I do not recommend Cypress Place to anyone! read more

I have lived at Cypress Place for 3 years and I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here! It's a clean, beautiful and safe community in a great location. Everything you need is within a 2 mile radius, also this place is very close to Busse Woods Trail and Elk Grove Vlg High School, where you can walk to the July 4th firework show and other events without parking hassle. Staff is very friendly and always try to get all problems taken care of as soon as possible to make all tenants happy. Maintenance crew are quick to respond as well. Overall I am very satisfied and will recommend this place to all my friends in this area. read more

I have lived here for over a year and they truly care about the tenants and take care of the property. The apartments are quiet and tucked into a neighborhood and other than occasional planes the outside noise is good. I moved into an updated apartment with brand new appliances in the kitchen and the bathroom and bedroom are large in my floorplan. I have a nice open view from the balcony and do not feel closed in by any buildings next door. Property is pet friendly and there are nice areas to walk your dog including the park across the street and the cute neighborhood next door. I have felt safe living alone in this area which is welcome. Short drive to Rosemont and you can ride the blue line 24 hours into the city easily. I would recommend top floor if you are concerned with noise from tenants above your apartment as the floors can make sounds from what I assume is wood flooring between levels. When I moved here from out of state I received extra help from Janine and Dan with many questions and they went above and beyond to assist with the challenges. read more

Beautiful area to live in , good kind neighbors . Terrible owner ship . Air conditioning never ever works as well as getting any maintenance done around here is impossible. The office never answers their phones . We pay a premium for shitty quality. I would never recommend these apartments !
