Wonderful food. Consistently great service. Pastas, pizzas, seafood, etc. Have been before will definitely return.

Excelent service and incredibly delicious food! They had vegetarian options and we were super glad. The place was romantic and perfect for a date night.

Quick thoughts... the space is older but nice. Paper napkin type place. Brunch ends at 3pm and then there is another menu. Continental meets Italian style dining with a little Italian style Market upfront. Service was professional, kind but minimal. Ordered was a Caesar salad with a grilled salmon filet added. Very healthy. The dressing was more of a vinaigrette served with lemon wedge. I did not eat the croutons, thats just me. They were ok. Salmon was well seasoned but was missing something, spice or a citrus sauce. I ate it all, as is. Light, light lunch. I never finish a dish and I did! Rolls came with my meal..they were just ok. Took them home! Nothing goes to waste on my table!! My company had the mushroom sandwich on focaccia. It came with a salad. She really liked it. The house white wine was quite good. We wore our coats for much of the visit as unfortunately, it was very cold in there and most seats are against the large windows. Dessert was offered but nothing was done extra for the birthday and that's ok. But good to note. We liked the stain glass art that hung and that was for sale. We also liked that we were not rushed out of there as my company had come from quite aways and we chatted for a bit. Water glasses never refilled though. I could see the cooks making the fresh linguine in the back for dinner service. Yum! I also met the owner. He was cordial. It didn't blow me away here but I'd like to try a pizza and a pasta item one day. I would recommend to others. Good location with plenty of parking. If you see one day on line that they are booked up re seating, call and they will take your reso that way as they likely have space.

They change their menu weekly, every Sunday, which includes long pasta, short pasta, filled pasta, sauces, focaccia, and a meal kit with a mix of everything. This week's menu included: - Long pasta: Tagliatelle or pappardelle - Short pasta: Cavatelli or fusilli - Filled pasta: Scarpinocc di Taleggio e fungi (Taleggio cheese and mushroom) or tortellini quattro fromaggio (four cheese) - Sauces: Pomodoro (tomato based), Cornish hen ragu (tomato based), seasonal mushroom (cream based), Genovese pistachio pesto, or herb butter - Focaccia: Large or small - Tutti tipi di pasta: Kit including pappardelle, fusilli, scarpinocc, tortellini, seasonal mushroom sauce, Cornish hen rage, Genovese pistachio pesto, herb butter, and large focaccia The long and short pastas are 150 grams per portion and $7 each, the scarpinocc and tortelloni come in a pack of 12 and are $15 each, and each order of sauce is for two portions, varying prices between $5 and $15. The small focaccia is $5 and the large is $12. They take orders Sunday to Wednesday for Thursday to Saturday delivery or pickup. Pickup is free in Barrhaven after 3pm and delivery is $5 within a 10km radius from 3-5pm. They also advised that the fresh pasta is best enjoyed the day of order or the next day, and the filled pasta comes freshly frozen and can be kept up to two months in freezer. I have a real soft spot for fresh pasta, so knowing it was homemade locally and two types of pastas I had never tried before, and just being gluttonous and greedy ol' me, I ordered tagliatelle, cavatelli, scarpinocc, and tortelloni pastas, pomodoro, mushroom, pesto, and herb butter sauces, and a small focaccia. I basically customized my own kit and it came out to $89, a dollar cheaper than the tutti tipi di pasta one they had already put together. It was all just for me, not gonna lie. I ordered earlier in the week through a private message on their Instagram and they responded right away. They asked if I had any allergies, what my phone number was, and gave me the total price and e-mail address to send the e-transfer. I originally thought I would have it delivered since the charge was so cheap, but they sent me the address and I ended up picking it up instead. I picked it up and it came in two paper bags (with sweet thank you messages!), one for the cardboard boxes of pasta and the other for the plastic containers of sauces and the bread. There was also a little message on one of the bags to just put the pasta in the freezer and cook from frozen. It was super quick to pick up and I was really excited to get home. It was hard to decide which pasta to each for dinner tonight with which sauce, but I ended up going with the four cheese tortelloni and pesto. They also come with an instruction sheet on how to cook the pasta and incorporate the sauces, which I found very helpful. The tortelloni were made perfectly, just a little tangy, and not overly stuffed or heavy, perfect portion. The pistachio pesto was a touch bitter, also perfect and I licked the spoon multiple times before even mixing it with the pasta. I decided to try the focaccia just on its own and it was soft and moist with some salt. I warmed it up slightly in the toaster oven and used some of the herbed butter (which came in a huge, very generous portion). It was all exactly what I wanted, exactly what I expected, and so incredibly satisfying. Can't wait to try the other pastas and sauces (and finish all the focaccia)!

This restaurant was very strange. We tried this out as a group celebrating a birthday last week,…read morevery excited to try it. The decor is fairly upscale, and they had live music, which was nice but made it hard to talk or hear the waitress. I really, really wanted to give this 5 stars, because it has the potential to be so damn good. The prices were very reasonable. The portions were mid-sized, reasonable for the price. Every bit of seafood was cooked to perfection - I had calamari and the seafood paella, and each bite of meat was succulent and tender. But the first thing that was lacking, and weirdly so, was appropriate seasoning. Like I said, the calamari meat was cooked to perfection - but in a heavy, bready, North American style coating with sauce that was very much like ranch. More appropriate for mozzarella or zucchini sticks. The seafood in the paella was succulent, and the rice was amazing - but the overwhelming flavour was *salt*. So much so that the taste of the seafood was overpowered. In addition, the service was much less than stellar. The place was almost empty, yet it took us almost an hour to get water. The one waitress greeted a friend who came in with a hug and loud banter, but ignored us for a long time and even was annoyed to have to serve us. Some people got their mains while others hadn't even gotten their starters yet, so some people were still eating far after others had finished and even had to leave. Every star was for the seafood. This restaurant has potential but doesn't live up to what it could be.
