I really have to add to all of these other stellar reviews...D&B is FANTASTIC! They could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Their selection is great. They have hundreds of styles of pashminas as well as men's & women's scarves and hats. The shop is very well organized, with everything well displayed and each item numbered so you can easily find it on their shelves. All of the employees were willing to go out of their way to make sure we were happy and found exactly what we were looking for. We got there close to closing time on Saturday, but did not feel rushed, just welcomed into their store warmly. Just a note to anyone trying to find it: *you enter through the loading dock. There is a small metal staircase on the right leading up to the loading platform. We accidentally went in through the main building door, which leads you up to a second floor where other companies are selling sunglasses, hats, and some other trinkets. They do have pashminas, but the selection is limited and the staff not at all helpful. We knew that couldn't be the place helpers were raving about so we went outside and tried again until we found the real store. I'm SO glad we did. read more

I did get a bit weirded out when walking through this slightly dingy building, but when I got upstairs, it was much better. The store is very well organized by color and print so it was easy to get a sense of the options before making a selection. Was roaming Chinatown like a tourist trying to buy 24 pashminas as wedding favors -- wedding the 1st of May so could get chilly and thought this would be a lovely gift for the ladies to wrap around their shoulders or, around their neck like a large scarf). Kept getting a quote for $4.00 which wasn't bad though they were all just hanging there out in the open on the side of the street, and I would have had to hit up several places before I could acquire a collective 24 pashminas of similar style. Found D&B on Yelp and trusted the reviews. D&B manager and staff absolutely lovely as I pulled and put aside several multi colored paisley pashmina's -- one lovelier than the next with so many vibrant hues, jewel tones, etc. Soft to the touch. The staff didn't rough me up to buy and get out of there but rather made me feel very comfortable and allowed me to take my time. I was in there for a full 1/2 hour pulling out and looking at all the wonderful colors and options within their paisley offerings alone -- not to mention the other lovely selections I could have browsed if I had wanted to. I chose the lighter pashminas (in terms of fabric weight) and the manager said they were $3.00 a piece which blew me away! They were gorgeous. I was able to get fantastic, inexpensive yet thoughtful, quality wedding favors -- 24 in total -- for under $75.00! The best part, the lovely store manager gave me one for free as the bride! A family relative needed to get some quality pashminas for a good price and nobody came close to meeting the superlative customer service and did D & B Pashmina. I've been a loyal customer since this fine institution was located close to Canal Street in Chinatown. They continue to be VERY HONEST, tasteful and genuinely nice when you speak to them on the phone or in person. The last time I saw such beautiful patterns was at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. That is saying a great about how I feel about their inventory. Further, there products actually have increased in their silk content. Most things in today's opportunistic society have deteriorated in quality as well as quantity. D & B has been a shining example and they offer a very convenient website that you should visit and support. It is 1010buybuy.com. This is the only place you should check out if you have gifts to give. Further, if you have to travel overseas, these are lightweight and well received. This place is great! I came here to buy pashminas as favors for a bridal shower I am throwing. They were extremely helpful and the $3 price cannot be beat. They have so many colors and styles to choose from! He also let me choose a scarf for myself as a gift - which is very generous. The reason I took off one star was because I went by again this past Saturday, as I needed more pashminas, and they were closed, even though in the store hours on yelp it says they're open. When I called they picked up and confirmed they were closed but that I could place an order online- which I did on Sunday. The prices are slightly more expensive online...but still better than most places. I ordered on Sunday and received the pashminas on Tuesday...another plus! All in all, I had a fantastic experience and I highly recommend this place! read more

I bought a few pashmina's for guests to use at my daughter's wedding. Because of the virus, the wedding was postponed until August so they won't be needed. I am able to return the pashmina's without a problem. Although I haven't opened them, they do look like a nice quality product. read more

Finding this place alone makes you feel like you're going to get a bargain. It's on the second floor and requires you to be buzzed in (you press a button that simply says "pashmina") and to walk up a Hostel-esque fluorescent stairway. Once you get into the store, though, there's an amazing selection of pashminas and scarves to choose from. I was the only one in there which was a bit strange at first, but the lady who runs it was incredibly helpful, and pretty soon I had piled up with ten really pretty prints and was all set for summer. This place has amazing, high quality choices at the lowest prices around. I looked online for hours, and this is lower than any price I could find. They also have a ton of stock on hand. I bought 125 pashminas for my wedding for $3 a piece, and they had it all in stock! My color is teal, and they had 3 shades of solid teal to choose from as well as many patterns. This is wholesale place is great. The prices are a bargain and the man who helped was very nice and works very fast.
