This included my new composite deck after furniture was dragged across it, a chipped exterior window frame, water intrusion after the roof was removed approximately three hours after rain, a brick knocked loose from the exterior, and several dented gutters. The gutters were replaced and the brick was glued back in place. However, the remaining damage totaled over $3,000 and was not repaired. When I requested repairs, I was told the company could only afford a $250 reimbursement. After I sent a written request asking that the matter be reviewed through their insurance--since the repairs could not be afforded and to seek a fair resolution for the deck damage--I received a letter from their attorney stating that a lien could be placed on my property and that the damages were considered "consequential to the work," citing language in the contract's fine print. I'm posting this to document my personal experience so homeowners understand how damage issues may be handled if they arise during projects with this company.

Additionally, we felt that the cost of the project was competitive for that of a smaller company given the quality products and opportunities extended by the Osers to minimize the cost of the project when it was first discussed. Despite the already competitive price point and the delays to the start of the project which may have otherwise resulted in changes to the cost of the materials needed, the Osers were extremely hospitable in working to keep the quoted price the same once we were ready to get started. Additionally, after we worked with the Osers to address a miscommunication on our part which would have typically resulted in a minor increase in the cost of the project, we were able to once again maintain the original quoted cost of the project due to the company's flexibility and understanding. Last but not least, our floors look incredible and the members of the installation team were friendly, efficient, and competent throughout the installation process, which took only a day to complete. Then they told my husband they would be back the next day to clean up and fill back in the dirt that they torn up around the concrete. Next day, no show. Weather was perfect for 5 plus days. No show . Finally a week plus later they show up. Do a really piss poor job and just throw excess dirt farther out into the grass Instead of taking it away. Then stomped it down. Turn grass side down into grass. It looked terrible. Then when we said something. Quote" from owner. We don't clean up ir fill back in."Wow. Seriously. Then he accuses us of shorting him money on our check. Every person who has ever received a check from someone has looked at it. So why didn't he say something then, why because he was lying. My husband made the mistake of paying them in full and they didn't want to come back and do the rest. Now we are using our hard labor, we are in our 60's to rake and try to repair our lawn in multiple areas. Plus buying dirt and sod . He should be paying us. So Pay a little more for a company that takes care of their customers. We even got them more business in our neighborhood. After reading some previous reviews I decided to give Empire a chance and they did not disappoint. Not only was Steve a pleasure to do business with but all of the work was completed in a timely manner and some ahead of schedule. How refreshing to have someone say the work will be done at this time and actually have that be the case, and all the work was done better than expected. If you ever have need of a rooking/siding contractor, including metal buildings like my outbuildings were, look no further. Less than 6 weeks after the incident everything is done and done perfectly.
