I called for a small repair. They came out that day Done! Second time I used them on two locations.

They've lost my confidence and future business. When they did my roof I was impressed by the quality and oversight so I chose them for 2 window projects and both were filled with delays, excuses and failed promises. the final straw was having the installer break a window and I was left with a piece of cardboard and plastic for over a month in the winter despite being assured the project would be completed before the winter. No oversight despite my texts to the owner and the project wasn't completed until February. If you're considering a contractor that is responsive look elsewhere. read more

I would never even recommend them to my enemies. They chose to come do our roof even though we made it clear we wanted a discount for their terrible communication, and being 4 weeks late, or our money back. They told us AFTER they got here and started the roof that they weren't going to give us a discount, when it was too late for us to send them away. We got an estimate in the beginning of May. We received a signed contract stating 2 to 3 weeks. Had absolutely no communication about timing changing. After 4 weeks we called and were told they would try and be out by that weekend, never showed up, never called. At 6 weeks we called again, and said we would like a discount AND it to be finished by the end of week 7 OR we would like our money back and to go else where. We received a call from Dale saying he would speak with the guy who was suppose to be doing our roof. And never heard anything back. We received a text saying they were coming out today and we called to confirm what we said last week about discount OR money back considering our garage leaked during the 1 week of storms that could have been avoided had they come out on time. After speaking with Dale's wife who was nothing but RUDE, we will NEVER use this roofing company again and NEVER recommend them to anyone. Our "Discount" and "them doing us a favor" was not being charged for soft wood they found after the fact but she herself said had they not found that soft wood they wouldn't have given us a discount. So even though we made it clear DISCOUNT OR MONEY BACK. They chose to still come out and do our roof, since we weren't getting a discount, they shouldn't have been here and should have been mailing us our deposit back. Which to me should be considered theft and a scam. And then I was called rude several times for trying to make it clear for what we had stated last week, as she sat there and lied and claimed to have spoken to my husband last week about this issue, when he had only spoken directly to Keith and Dale. Never spoke to her until today about everything going on. She tried blaming the weather at one point. We were in a drought during weeks 1-4 and had rain only during week 5. Not a good enough excuse when there was no rain during the time period we were told they would be out. We never received any communication until we called and left voicemails. And most of the time what was communicated to us was false. So if you want TERRIBLE customer service, TERRIBLE communication, and work done no where near on time and it being blamed on nonexistent weather, this is the company for you! read more

We have used D and D contracting to put on a new roof, install new gutters, repair wood siding, install a new garage door opener as well as a side entrance door on the garage, and tear out/build a new deck on the back of the house (see picture). D & D Roofing has work samples all over Racine and the owner, Dale Decker, hands you a long list of all of the houses he's worked on. Not just roofs but porches, add-ons and more. After considering several companies we chose to have D & D replace our 100 year-old shaker shingles covered with two layers of asphalt roof. Their team worked long and hard to carefully remove all of that, plus they razed our chimney and replaced it with a vent which saved us a lot of money. They retained much of the original foundation wood of the roof and integrated the new materials with it very well. There were some sections of the building that were added on in the last half of the 20th century that were not as well constructed and these were replaced and well covered. They even did a great job on our garage with its challenging architectural features. As for the mess in the yards. These guys worked as hard as humanly possible to clean up all of the shaker shingles, asphalt shingles, boards, nails and gutters. They picked up all of the odd scraps and rolled a magnet over the lawn to catch any stray nails. An odd piece of asphalt shingle shows up now and again where no one looked (not even us) but given the volume of material moved I should not be surprised if something comes along. After all was said and done I was extremely happy with the job they did and would highly recommend them. read more

To be fair, I didn't have my house roofed by this company, my neighbor did. But after the way we were treated by their workmen, I will NEVER be a customer of theirs. The morning they started the roofing processes, the asked my husband if they could use our driveway. He agreed, provided the driveway be clear for me to park in by 4.00. At 4.30 when I got home my driveway was still taped off and full of ladders. When I asked the workmen when the driveway would be clear, he told me 6 or 7. Seriously? He then told me I could park on the street. Obviously... Plan ahead dudes. We're letting you on our property, at least respect our requests. Then when I went into my back yard, I found chunks of old roof in my gardens. Nice. read more

I had a few small issues with my gutters and not only did they return my call but sent a guy right away. The job was done (including a couple things I didn't even realize I needed) by the time I got home from work. When I called to ask how much I owe, they said nothing, just remember us when you have bigger jobs. Who does that!? Hell yeah I will...I got stuff needing doing and these are my guys!! read more

My neighbor had their roof redone this week. Their crew had blocked off our driveway for 3 days straight and were constantly on our property. They never asked to use our property or block off our driveway and I had to get my vehicle out. When I returned yesterday, they had roofing material all over our driveway and yard. When I asked them politely to take care of their mess, I was told "we will get to it when we get to it." Mind you they had no permission to be on my property in the first place. Beyond that, all 3 days they have left extremely late and when we go to put our vehicles in the garage, we have to take flashlights and metal sweepers with us. We have found no less than 50 nails in our driveway because of them. When confronted about this, they just shrug at me and walk away. Maybe they do decent work, but their crew treatment of neighbors around job sites is completely unacceptable. If I could give less than 1 Star I would. read more
