Etruscan are super responsive and thorough. They took on a skylight project that no one else wanted to do because of the unusual size of the glass. We are so grateful to them and they will be our first call for other roof and siding projects. read more

I'm going to request that your company be judicious about how much room your trucks are taking up when you park in an alley as opposed to a street. I had to squeeze by one of your trucks tonight about 6:30 since it was parked near a light pole. I had very little maneuvering room and scratched the car on the driver's side. While I understand that you are trying to get a job done in an efficient amount of time, the alley needs to be navigable for large and small vehicles- and emergency vehicles, as well. I have sent you an email about this, talked to your driver, and took some pictures. Thank you for rectifying this for the neighborhood residents. read more

Etruscan installed a new roof for us when we moved to Glenview 3 years ago. They did a wonderful (and quick) job. We recently had a downspout detach itself from the eaves. After I texted them, they were out within a day to fix it. read more

I strongly recommend Etruscan. Over several years, I threw them a bunch of "nuisance" jobs patching, fixing a skylight, etc. They handled these promptly and professionally. Finally I needed a new roof and I just wasn't going to go elsewhere. Unsurprisingly, the old roof was removed and replaced in one very long day by a crew of hard workers. The workmanship was excellent. This is a firm with a commitment to customer service and quality. read more

Whole roof replacement. Complex and detailed oriented project, which Etruscan painstakingly attended to every facet to make sure outcome was perfection. Todd, Mario and all of their crews were absolute professionals. Easy to work with, excellent communicators, fair and transparent pricing and the most HONEST contracting company I've had the pleasure of working with-- A++all around. HIGHLY recommend read more

I can't say enough great things about Etruscan and especially Mario. He is truly one of the nicest and most thoughtful people I've ever worked with. From start to finish, Mario went out of his way to make sure everything was done right and that I was happy with the results. He takes the time to explain things clearly, answers every question with patience, and really makes you feel like a valued client. It's rare to find someone who cares this much about the people he works with. If you're looking for a roofing company that goes above and beyond, ask for Mario--you won't be disappointed! read more

Mario and Etruscan Roofing are by far the best roofing company on the North Shore. Great communication and prompt, excellent service!

We found service on time, professional, communicative, efficient. They added gutter guards to our existing system. Would recommend!

etruscan was highly recommended and we had a quote from shaun, who also managed our project. we replaced leaking old copper gutters with new improved (they can now be cut to any length--no soldering needed) and they turned out great. the workmen were efficient, dependable and cleaned up and disposed of all old materials. the result is terrific! highly recommend. read more

My first roofing company said I needed a total roof replacement. I was not sure about that. I am glad I called Mario at Etruscan Roofing for a second opinion. He came out right away and carefully inspected my roof. I was pleased when he told me there are no significant issues with my roof and it definitely does not need to be replaced. He was patient with me when I initially challenged him about his conclusion. After he clearly answered all my questions, I was confident that no work needed to be done now. Thank you Mario. read more

I called Etruscan Gutters and Roofing late summer of 2025. I spoke to Mario. He came out and took a look at my roof. Mario told me I needed a new roof and explained why. He did say I could wait until the following year. I'm glad I didn't. After removing the roof, more problem areas occurred. The men did an excellent job. The weather barrier they put in was 6 feet from the gutters. This was included in the price. The asphalt shingles were excellent quality and chosen for my roof based on Midwest weather. Mario helped me with the color and my roof is beautiful. Vents and a fan were removed and new ones were put in. The men did the roof very soon after I picked the shingles-the weather was going to change soon. Any questions I had were answered immediately. Etruscan put in gutter covers and a piece of trim under the brown siding, removing the white piece, a few years before the roof went in. Everyone is so honest, helpful and excellent at roofing and gutters. I highly recommend them. Lois Rifkin read more

This company is phenomenal not only are they courteous and prompt but they really help you out. I had a major roof problem.over a year ago no one found the exact leak but them They did a wonderful and no random nails laying around. They came back for another part of the roof ( that wasn't new) for some pipes that became unsealed and caused a leak upstairs and immediately took care of it. If you need any roofing, I would not call anyone, but this company they are fair, do the job right , and they are so courteous. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Etruscan! They replaced our roof and gutters several years ago and everything has been terrific. I communicated with Mario about a small issue with the gutter and he had a crew out to fix it the next morning. They came up with a very clever fix for the issue and it's perfect now. Their fix will also prevent further issues. I couldn't be more pleased and grateful for both the excellent communication (between Mario and me, and between Luis (the crew chief) and me) and the expertly done work! read more

We had a leaky roof that needed a repair. One company came out and said they couldn't find the problem. They recommended a total roof replacement. We called Etruscan for a second opinion - so glad we did! They immediately identified the issue and patched the leak, taking care to match the new shingles with the existing ones. So far, so good. read more

Thanks to Etruscan we have a handsome new roof and gutters. As a pricey part of home ownership, it is great to know we hired a company who did the jobs right. I watched the installers do a quality and tidy job, and there were places where they went above and beyond to do things right. For example using a torch and modified bitumen on a flat section that had been plagued by a stack of previous poor jobs. They also did the roof and gutter system properly in order to tuck in and flash over the ice and water barrier. It was impressive to watch their crews operate, and finished our roof in a single day. Todd helped guide us to the right colors for both shingles and gutters, and was able to schedule us with flexibility. Thanks for the piece of mind we won't have to do this again for a long time. read more

Carlos is fantastic. Timely and communicative with the consultation. Was able to diagnose the issue quickly and took the time to educate me on it. Very knowledgeable, friendly, and approachable in answering all of my questions. Saved me from costly roof ventilation modifications (which another company had recommended) with helpful general maintenance and monitoring tips for when Chicago has its cold snaps. Also took the time to show me the built in ventilation already present and visible on my roof. Highly recommend! read more

Fabulous service provider. They do great work and Shaun his crew are always around and also after the fact. One of my favorite vendors.

Etruscan is a great company to work with and we absolutely would recommend them. Carlos was super responsive and worked closely with us for our project. We had a new roof for our house, garage, all new gutters, and an attic solar fan. The crew worked hard and take pride in their work. They were quick, efficient and made sure that our property was completely clean after the project. We are so happy with the project from start to finish! read more

We had a total tear off and replacement done by Etruscan in 2023 and I couldn't recommend them more. They were highly recommended to us and did not disappoint. Mario was the only vendor who did a thorough inspection up on our roof as well as in our attic. This was before he had even asked me about any problem spots. He identified them to me in our subsuqeunt conversation which I found reassuring. The proposal was detailed and thorough, left no room for surprises or hidden costs. The crew and subsuquent work/clean up were excellent as well. Recently we had a downspout fall off our house - nothing to with Etruscan as they only did our roof. Mario not only had a crew out there the same day but also fixed it for free. Totally unnecessary and appreciated! read more

"I want to buy a new roof" said no one ever. Can't say I was too thrilled when our tree company told us that it looked like it was ready for a new roof. I wanted to get a bunch of quotes for such an expensive purchase so I reached out to at least a dozen roofing companies to come out to see if a) did we actually need a new roof or would repairs to and b) cost of a new roof. Thanks to Yelp Request a Quote I had many high quality players to choose from. I met with a bunch of roofers and got initial pricing. The quote from one roofer was 4x the price of the same material from another roofer (yikes) so I highly recommend doing your research. I finally narrowed it down to my 2 favorites: Etruscan and Countryside. Both of these companies were high on my list because they were responsive, seemed to know what they were talking about, highly recommend by both Yelp and friends & the less expensive than all other roofers. Eventually we went with Etruscan because we really liked Todd Payne- very responsive and honest. He actually tried to sell us on the least expensive material, which wasn't the norm with the other roofers. They were also slightly less expensive than Countryside. When we ordered the roof from Todd we asked if they could do it while I was away with the kids the following week (figured would be great to escape the noise/construction zone). It was a fast turnaround, but he made it happen and when we returned from sunny Florida there was only half a day remaining of roof work. My husband was in town to supervise, but there wasn't much to do since Todd and his team were so on top of things...we both received nightly emails with progress and pictures from Todd. The new roof looks fantastic and thrilled with Etruscan. I'm hoping not to replace this roof again, but for any other roofing/gutter issues they'll be my first call. read more

Nightmare in Northbrook Update. 1,000 stars! After the first repair they did, it was still leaking a little bit (for the complexity of the problem please see my prior posting). When I would call them about it they came out right away to try to figure out the problem. Very soon they determined a far more extensive repair was needed, sent the crew back which proceeded to rebuild the side of the house. THEY HONORED THEIR ORIGINAL ESTIMATE AND DID NOT CHARGE ME MORE. It's perfect -- no more problems after years and years of having our own "indoor water feature". Amazing. I wish I could give them more stars. read more

I cannot say enough great things about Etruscan. Amazing job from start to finish! I needed my roof repaired and Shaun came out to assess my roof, met with our adjuster and helped us through the entire process. I was really dreading having to replace our roof but he made it so easy. Shaun was very responsive and always returned my call or text and even offered to talk to my claims adjuster when there was a hold up on their end. We needed our roof done by a certain time frame and Shaun was able to accommodate us and delivered! Our roof looks great and we've had neighbors come by to ask questions about who we used and I could not stop saying enough great things. There is a reason why Etruscan has a 5 star rating, the customer service is top notch and work quality is stellar. read more

It is rare to find a business like this, particularly in this line of work. Getting a new roof (and gutters) is daunting--and expensive--and choosing the better company isn't always easy. Etruscan Gutters and Roofing is the exception. From the bidding process to the communication to the installation to the follow-up---working with Todd Payne and his crew was a sincere pleasure. The crew was hardworking, addressing questions and requests like professionals. Todd followed-up and followed-through. The billing process was understandable and accurate. For the duration of the project, all went smoothly. There's a reason Etruscan is so highly rated here. Our actual experience is that these reviews are to be believed. In the future, we would call upon Etruscan again, should it be necessary. read more

Can't say enough good things about Etruscan. Mario has been excellent to work with. Very quick to communicate and always on time with his word. Mario and the Etruscan team just completed our 1929 home's cedar roof, gutters and gutter guards. They did an outstanding job in terms of quality. We could not be happier with the outcome and the value and would highly recommend them. They were also very easy to work with, cleaned up every night and the service was incredible. read more

During a heavy thunderstorm a couple of weeks ago, my roof sprung multiple leaks. This was at the beginning of the COVID-19 quarantine so when it rains, it truly does pour. I called around and had a bunch of different roofing companies come out to give me quotes for a new layer on top (I have a flat roof) and also new gutters. I obviously don't know much about roofs but am generally distrustful of all contractors just because I'm always worried about being scammed (or up-sold) so I wasn't sure how I'd choose. Shaun from Etruscan was the last to come by and was by far the most normal, no-nonsense. He was friendly and polite, and there was no fear mongering. He was honest about what he thought needed to be done and that was it. Once I compared all the proposals I received (I had 5 total), it became evident that Etruscan was the most competitive. They also have incredible reviews both here and on Angie's List so I felt confident choosing these guys. The entire process was really smooth. Because my roof was actively leaking, Shaun was kind enough to rearrange the schedule to get my work done in about a week. The work itself took only about a day (my roof is about 600 sqft) but I really appreciated two things especially. 1. A few days before the work was supposed to start, there was another storm forecasted and I called them in a panic. They came out and filled in the worst of the cracks in my roof as a quick-fix to prevent more damage (it worked, no visible leaks during the second storm). 2. Shaun came by the day after his guys finished to do a final walk through and answer all my questions. A lot of times, companies will just disappear after the work is done right up until they want payment, and that didn't happen here. There was constant communication and I never felt ignored (unfortunately, another common issue). Instead of adding a new layer, I had them completely replace the existing roof down to the wood. They also replaced any visibly rotting wood, installed new flashings, replaced a vent, and installed new gutters and downspouts for both my neighbor and me (our townhomes share a gutter system). And the price was still better than three of the other companies who were only going to add a layer. The only thing that ever gave me pause was that their labor warranty is for five years while two of the other companies offered 10 year labor warranties (all material warranties ranged from 13-15 years). However, I ultimately decided that wasn't as valuable as completely replacing my roof for an affordable price. And again, as a fairly new home-owner, I really appreciate how honest and communicative they were. Overall, I'm really happy with my choice of roofing company and I highly recommend Etruscan. And while I can't see my roof, the gutters look great! read more

From start to finish these guys did a top notch cedar roof replacement -- fortunately Shaun stopped me from going forward with asphalt like everyone was telling me to do and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. Quality work and materials, competitive pricing, and honest approach. Shaun was quick on responses and always on top of things. Everyone I spoke with said these guys are the best and now I know why! read more

Update- Etruscan did follow up with us and re-did the sill so we do appreciate the effort to adress our concerns.

I canceled my contract with Etruscan yesterday (10/16/19). The contract was signed in June. After several emails to the company, the work, which was delayed by weather, was finally scheduled for the week of August 12, 2019. The company was aware that the leak in the roof was causing damage to my ceiling, but 2 months past the scheduled work time, I heard nothing from them. In response to my cancellation, they said that they were sorry, they had a hectic couple of months. Well, it was pretty hectic in my kitchen during those rain storms and repairing that ceiling is going to be costly. read more

We had a need for a roof repair and seeing the Etruscan trucks at Home Depot made for an easy find. I engaged with the team and they provided a fair estimate and even helped with a temp fix due to the time of the year. Once work was scheduled the team came out and were to the point. There were some issues from the initial work, but the team remedied this and took extra steps to assure the problem was solved. They interfaced perfectly with our masoner who needed to do some complimenting work to complete the repair. Three months and no issues! Way to go Etruscan. read more

We have used Etruscan three times. The first time we used Shawn and Etruscan is when we replaced all the gutters on our house last year. We then brought them out again to add gutter guards. After last winter I contacted Shawn and his team about ways to prevent ice damning and they added installed heating coils on our roof. This company, top to bottom, delivered on everything they said. Their crew was always friendly, fast, clean and reliable. These are people you want to do business with because they care about the end result and their reputation. Thank you Shawn and the entire Etruscan team. read more

I want to thank Etruscan Roofing and Carlos for helping me out. Etruscan was one of the roofers I considered for my home, but I did not choose them. Sadly, the roofers I chose have not worked out so well. I asked Carlos to send me some photos he took of the roof to help me with my issues with my roofer. It takes a special kind of company to help a client who did not use their services. Thank you Carlos and Etruscan. read more

Etruscan is the best! I had been very apprehensive about re-roofing our house, envisioning days of noise and chaos. To the contrary, the Etruscan crew of nine workers did the roofing in nine hours! When we made requests, his response was always "yes." We highly recommend Etruscan. read more

We were new owners to our house. We developed a leak in the roof. The prior owners gave us the name of this company which did the prior replacement work a number of years ago. A few years ago we had some work done on our gutters. Thing is, at the time, and since you only get to see the bottom of the gutters, it's hard to see if they did quality work. Recently, gutter things weren't working well so I hired Etruscan. They found the gutters were attached only occasionally, and the last company chose gutter covers that were a bit too narrow.l and either fell off the top edge into the gutters, or popped out and were hanging down. Etruscan fixed it all. And, this time I had a chance to look at their work. These guys did an incredibly great and complete job. The gutters are attached, pitched, cleaned, and the covers are installed correctly. These guys did a WONDERFUL job. read more

We had bad ice dams and icicles over the winter. Mario came and inspected the roof, gutters and warming cables. He gave a couple different quotes based our budget with things to repair or replace. He also recommended new downspout routes and eliminated unnecessary ones. We ended up getting paid through insurance and Mario provided documents needed. He also was honest about gutter covers not being the best option for us because of the warming cables. The company also has an office for other communications. The price is also more than fair! I would highly recommend the team. read more
