We had a wonderful experience with David and his team. They were able to accommodate our schedule, and even ended up starting early. We were encouraged to pick our own colors from Kelly Moore. David did give us a booklet with color combo ideas, but when we went rogue and went with our "Mykonos vibe he was all there for it. We went with just two colors- white with blue trim. Blue for the door. The spray job on the security screen is gorgeous! Also, his two step process of rolling and spraying really did the trick to fill in hairline cracks in our stucco. read more

We highly recommend D&H Painting for any paint project. We contacted 4 other companies in addition to D&H to give us estimates to paint the exterior of our house. All the other companies' estimates didn't include repairing the dry rots. Some of the estimators didn't look like they will actually work on the job. We were told that the house was in "pretty" good condition and has some minor dry rot problems. David (the owner) was upfront with us and told us what he saw and included in his estimate. His estimate was not the lowest but we thought it was very reasonable. David and his team did a great job. Took plenty of time to prep, including replacing the dry rots and spray washed the exterior. They were experienced professionals. David was easy to work with. The entire job took 3 people (including David) 4 1/2 days. And they cleaned up everyday and at the end of the job. David Kang and his team has done an excellent job with painting the interior of our house. We would recommend them to our friends and would contact them for future painting jobs. We live in North Santa Clara and they were able to accommodate us. We contacted David and he came by and gave a free estimate. A few weeks later, they started the job (in the meantime we choose paint colors). Capable: very capable crew; we have very flat walls and ceilings (no texture) and they did an amazing job, no brush or roller streaks. Also, we had a few old cable outlets to be closed, they patched the drywall and it looks seamless. Professional: On time every morning, finished on time. Also, they were very kind and made sure we are happy with the results. Very Clean: taped all the floors, protected furniture with plastic covers. Did a through cleaning at the end. It was spotless, no paint marks or splashes in the house. This review is long overdue. David and his crew painted the exterior of our house back in October of 2017. Even after months of winter/rain, it still looks great. I found David's company when I saw him working on a neighbors house. Scheduling an estimate was easy, and he showed up on time. He plans very well, working around upcoming jobs and the weather. David manages the schedule, helps you figure out what colors and patterns to do, and figures out what needs to be done for prep and painting. His pricing is very reasonable too. He was much cheaper than the 2 other businesses I got quotes from. His business is local to me, so I think that helps. On the schdeduled day, David and his crew showed up ready to work. I had a lot of junk to move and I was prepared to do that myself, but David's crew did that for me... probably a faster/better job than what I could have done. After getting the walls clear, powerwashing comes next, then the taping/covering prep work. A word of caution, this group works fast and efficiently. I was planning on changing out some door knobs at the same time, but they were always done before I was ready. There were a couple of times where we needed some color to balance things out, but David knew what to do and gave great suggestions. David is very professional to examine the wood condition, make suggestion on it and explain the color contrast to me. It takes 4-day to complete the painting. Our house was painted in October, 2018. My apologies to David and his crew for taking so long in sending this review. David gave us an estimate the day after we called him and less than a week the job was complete. We had dry rot in some high beams and he assured us that he could take care of it. He needed to shop all around before he could find the right size lumber and his crew did an excellent job of replacing the bad parts of the beams. The seams are not even noticeable. David was very patient and knowledgeable in helping me match the color to our garage doors. The paint job was perfect! The 2 men that worked for him were polite, friendly and hard workers.
