I wasn't planning on buying a new car for a few years as I'd had such good experiences with my last two Lexus vehicles. But it all changed when that last accident totaled three cars due to someone driving under the influence. And so began my search for the perfect new (or potentially used) car. I went to so many dealerships and test drove everything I thought I might like. Volvos, Lexus, Subaru, Mazda, Mercedes, BMW and Toyota to name a few. I called dealerships. I searched online. I had so many tabs open on my phone & photos saved that it was beginning to overwhelm me. I was disappointed and lied to by more than one salesman to be sure until I visited FAMILY TOYOTA in Burleson. My salesman was Dominic Gomez and how he changed my perspective of a car salesman! He was honest & upfront with me and genuinely cared about my needs, budget and concerns. He heard me out and was patient to the point of even setting up my phone with the Toyota App. When I was ready to buy my new Toyota BZ, he didn't flinch when I said I needed to drive the Toyota Crown "just to be sure" since I love a luxury car. In the end, I went with the new 2026 BZ Limited BEV (battery electric vehicle) as I just love the smooth ride, platform and trim (not to mention the huge savings by not buying gasoline)! The store's General Manager is Dustin and he was most accommodating & helpful, too. I was so impressed with the no pressure sales and how clean & organized this dealership is as well. I really can't say enough having been through so much these last two months as I did extensive research & was really losing hope until I walked into FAMILY. I had other car salesmen from premier dealerships literally lie to my face about prices but this didn't happen here. When I inspected the Matrix, I mentioned a few concerns -- brakes, windshield wipers, a light door rattle, an A/C recharge, and an OBD2 code check. Mac, the owner, was incredibly friendly, honest, and attentive. After listening carefully, he told me he'd take care of all the issues before pickup. The car I choose had a tear on the drivers side door, Richard said they would have it fixed. fast forward to March 18th my daughter took my car in to have it fixed So now we are in the Pandemic of the covid-19 on the 22 of March I called discount to see if my car was done, no answer 15 mins I called no answer. So I called Richard on his personal cell phone and he informed me they were closed due to the virus. But he went out of his way on his time to find out if my car was done and it was so Richard gave me the address to where my car was. I didn't quite know where that was so Richard was already in Ft Worth with his wife and agreed to get my car for me but that wasn't the best of it not only did Richard get my car for me he delivered it right to my front door. Little does Richard know how much he possible saved me that day, you see I have respiratory issues I was just getting over having food poisoning so me going out with this virus going on is almost impossible. What makes this a horrible experience is how this dealership is treating me as a post sale customer and with my car title. They apparently had issues getting my car title (which they never mentioned, I only found our after submitting a request to get a copy of a title myself after 2-3 months not getting one) I was denied getting a title from Texas DMV saying Family Toyota submitted the wrong title when applying for my title, and they didnt send the most recent one. Now when I call, they just keep putting me on hold until I just get hung up on or sent to voicemail. Its soon to be 5 months from when I purchased my car, and I still have no car title in hand. The Texas DMV even mentioned my title on this clean car might get branded because of their hiccups, but I couldn't even tell if that's true since I don't have a title. Kind of frustrating to spend dozens of thousands of dollars with a company who clearly doesn't care about their clients once you take the car keys and submit payment. I was recommending and buttering this dealership to my colleagues and friends in Texas, but definitely will have to stop doing that.

Then luckily I saw a CRV in my price point from Sam's on an aggregator site. I'd never heard of Sams so I started to research them on various sites--best reviews I'd seen in the metroplex. I called and they confirmed the car was on the lot. I headed out there quickly, was able to get a quick test drive in and kick the tires. Absolutely NO PRESSURE, I felt the price was fair, and they stand behind their vehicles with a 90day/4K mile warranty which gave me more confidence. I had a really good experience with them and I'd go back in a heartbeat.

I bought a Kia Sorento on 9/11/24 and within a week it was overheating, so I checked the coolant levels and they were low, so I added more coolant.It was fine for about two weeks, and then we start hearing a clicking sounds and engine light came on. I got it checked out and they said It was misfiring. The same day it stops working all together so i had it towed to a shop where I'm told it's a crack engine and a gas leak. They gave me a 3 month warranty from a 3 party company that is not will to cover it at all. So it's going to cost me 20k to fix it when I only paid 11k for the car. I'm not happy at all. All within one month of having the car. They will not do anything to help out on it. Did I mention it was pd for with a cashier check in full?
