RICHARD CAMPOS!!!!!!! No wonder he is salesman of the year most of the time. On March 14th I bought a car at discount and of course Richard was my salesman. The car I choose had a tear on the drivers side door, Richard said they would have it fixed. fast forward to March 18th my daughter took my car in to have it fixed So now we are in the Pandemic of the covid-19 on the 22 of March I called discount to see if my car was done, no answer 15 mins I called no answer. So I called Richard on his personal cell phone and he informed me they were closed due to the virus. But he went out of his way on his time to find out if my car was done and it was so Richard gave me the address to where my car was. I didn't quite know where that was so Richard was already in Ft Worth with his wife and agreed to get my car for me but that wasn't the best of it not only did Richard get my car for me he delivered it right to my front door. RUN!!! THEY LIE and are UNSCRUPLIOUS. Will NOT HONOR THEIR WORD and will Make deals, then Try to Shake you down for more money! This is NOT THE COMPANY to do business with, especially during a PANDEMIC. They will kick you while you are down and lie to get more money out of you! I have paid on my car, faithfully for almost 2 years. I have ALWAYS PAID and only had (2) TWO PAYMENTS LEFT, before the car was COMPLETELY PAID OFF. I literally owed $732 and they TOWED My CAR DURING A PANDEMIC!!! Then, had the nerve to try to charge me an Extra $450 for a Tow fee! Then, told me I have 10 days to pay ALL OF IT, after they had already made arrangements with me and KNEW I WASN'T IN TOWN, but was coming in to pay it off in less than 6 days! Originally, I had lost my job back in December and was looking to work for a new company as a Truck driver. For the past couple of months, due to covid and not being in the state, I had made payments using a DEBIT CARD. I spoke with DAVID and he told me that he could accept a payment over the phone with a debit card! I was driving through WASHINGTON STATE's mountains and told him I would have to call him back because I did not have access to my debit card due to driving and had the calls dropping. DANI (David's Manager) calls me to get the payment and then informs me that if I pay with a Bank account or debit card, they will HOLD MY TITLEFOR 280 days. (YOU'RE KIDDING ME, but they are serious) ... I explain to her that I am a truck driver and have made other payments via debit card and that I do not have anyone locally to take payments in, as my Girlfriend is on Military assignment and over 7 hours away. I tell Dani I will be on my home time (time I get off from driving to be home) on the 19thof April and can come IN PERSON to PAY THE ENTIRE $732. This will PAY THE CAR OFF!!! She tells me she will need to speak with her team and will get back with me, but for the time being, I need to pay SOMETHING! I then call and speak to David and request that someone come in for me, to make a $100 payment, as I have someone who is willing to pay the $100 in office for me. He tells me he will ask his team if that is okay and get back with me. I then talk to DAVID again, who tells me I can make a payment, in good faith, via the person coming in and that the company has agreed that if I pay $100, THEY WILL HOLD THE ACCOUNT until I can come in on the 19th and pay the other $632; this is 6 days before I'm scheduled to actually come in. I tell him that I will have someone bring $100 into their office as a good faith payment, so that I do not have to wait for the title. The DAY OF (when he called to tell me this), THEY TOW MY CAR!!!Now keep in mind, they have KNOWN I drive OVER THE ROAD and have BEEN OUT OF STATE! He literally called me at 3pm CST, while I'm in an entirely different state and tells me that I can pay $100, and they want it the same day; 6 days before I'm going to be there in person! I SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM, I HAD SOMEONE BRINGING IT IN, but it WOULD NOT BE THAT DAY (again, it is 3pm, I'min a completely different state and he is calling me last minute, expecting m to have someone who is doing ME A FAVOR run in immediately and PAY. I told him they will be there before COB tomorrow, as I need to call them and confirm! Again, it is 3pm CST, I'm driving a Semi-truck through the mountains of Washington State and my contact person who's paying is in Dallas (an hour away) and at work! I cannot control someone, who is doing me a favor and MAKE THEM STOP WHAT THEIR DOING and come right away), especially given that he is JUST NOW SAYING ITS OKAY to do this, the day of. So, I ensure that they will be there by no later than CLOSE OF BUSINESS TOMORROW! This was on SATURDAY, less than 6 days before I was going to come IN PERSON to PAY OFF THE CAR! I get a call the next day from my Friend telling me that when they went to go Pay the $100, the company has TOWED MY CAR (repo'd it over $732, to pay it off) and they: 1) WILL NOT ACCEPT PAYMENT FROM HER, without speaking to me first and 2) SHE CAN NOT TAKE THE CAR, without paying Almost $1,300 to Cover the tow and total balance! Also, I now have 10days (keep in mind 5 of those days, I am not even in the state and NOW CAR-LESS) I literally cannot understand how this company can TOW A PAYING CUSTOMER's CAR, who has paid FAITHFULLY for over 2 years, owes less than $732 that will pay it off, and DURING A PANDEMIC when people are struggling to find work and feed themselves! I've donated plasma, pawned things, and went above and beyond to make the payments and honor my commitment, even when I was unemployed! The fact that this company is that ruthless, that they'd repo a struggling people's car, in a time were people are already struggling.. and then try to charge over 70% more than what they owe to completely own the car, WITHIN 10 days, just to get it back is beyond me! I did business with this company many years ago and I recently moved back to Dallas and sent them a referral. My referral was approved, but I'm having a hard time receiving my referral fee. I'm constantly calling the sales rep Mr. Garcia and he is avoiding my calls and when I did speak with him, he made up excusing stating they forgot to print the check, but he didn't forget to take that big down payment from my referral. If you are not going to keep your word, then don't print it on your business cards. Karma is something else, because if you don't pay me, you will pay in a different way.
